Meeting the Texas Gang from Dallas

As I was getting off work on Wednesday, God said, “Sonny, you need to take supper to the Texas Gang tonight.” You are probably wondering who we are talking about. About a week ago when I made first contact with this gang, the undercover police called me and told me about a new gang from Dallas Texas that arrived in Denver.   Soon  God said, “Sonny, pick up seven pizzas and some bottled water. Serve them to the Dallas gang in Denver.”  I picked up some bottled water from King Soopers. After picking up the drinks, I picked the pizzas up at the Little Caesars place that I frequent when I’m in Denver. As I walked in to the restaurant, one of the girls recognized me.  She called the manager over. She said, “Hi Sonny, how many pizzas do you need this time?”

I said, “Guys, I need seven pizzas total. Five pepperoni and two sausage.”

The manager said, “Well, your getting seven pepperonis and three sausage pizzas.” After they put my order together, they came over and asked, “Where are you going with the pizzas?”

I said,  “I am taking them to a new gang here in town.” Three of them came over to pray for me and the hearts of the gang members. They only charged me for the seven pizzas I asked for. I left the restaurant to go to the park. An undercover policeman directed by the Holy Spirit, told me the location of this gang.

It was around lunch time when I arrived at the park. God said, “Sonny, go introduce yourself  to them and read Joshua 1:9  and Psalm 91 to them. ” As I walked over to to them, some of them drew their pistols on me. They asked, ” What are you thinking coming here?”

I said, “My King, Jesus Christ, who loves you guys very much, sent me over here to talk about him to you. He wants me read his word to you.” As I started reading God’s word, a couple of guys hit me with tiny baseball bats. The gang leader stood behind me and took his pistol out and started poking me in the back. God said, “Sonny, keep reading do not get distracted by what’s happening to you.” The leader, not saying a word, just kept poking me. After I finished reading Joshua 1:9,

9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

I explained to them what that verse meant. I continued on to begin reading Psalm 91 to them.

Psalm 91

1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]
2 I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”

3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 “Because he[b] loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”

When I finished reading, they stopped hitting and poking me. I turned around and headed back to the pickup and was thinking that I should give the food to another gang that was not so obstinate. I am sure they were glad I was leaving. God had other plans. He said, “Go get the food and serve them.” I did what my King told me to do and headed back with the pizzas in hand. I set them down in front of them while they watched. After doing all the things they did to me, they were surprised. They asked, “Are you going to feed us pizza?”

I said, “My King told me to make sure and serve the pizzas to you guys.”

They replied, “We are craving pizza.” They were very hungry and you could tell by their expressions that they were surprised that I brought pizza.

I then turned around and headed back to the pickup to get the rest of the stuff.

They asked me, “Hey, where are you going?”

I responded, “I have a cooler with drinks in my pickup.”  Two of them came with me to help me get the big cooler out of my pickup. After bringing the drinks back, they began to eat the pizza and drink the water.  They ate everything. There was not a single crust left. They thanked me for bringing the pizzas. The gang leader, whose name is Leo, did not say much.  None of the gang members give their life to Jesus that day but their hearts were beginning to be softened by the Holy Spirit. This was my first contact with this gang.

For tonight, God said, “Order 32 dollar burgers from McDonald’s resturaunt. Make sure you hold the pickles.” When arriving at the McDonalds I frequent, I walked into the restaurant. The manager asked, “How many burgers do you need tonight Sonny?”

I said, “I need 32 hamburgers.  Make sure you hold the pickles.”

They were so excited. They asked, “Where are you going with all the hamburgers?”

I responded, “There is new gang here from Dallas Texas. The Lord has asked me to serve hamburgers to these guys.” They came over and prayed for me and the gang members hearts.

I already have a Dr Pepper 12 pack and a Pepsi 12 pack in ice in my cooler. For dessert, I picked up double stuffed Oreo cookies and milk. The Holy Spirit guided me to their address. As I arrived, they opened their door to their home. I reached into the back seat and grabbed the hamburgers. I headed towards the open door. I was careful not to block my face so they could see who I was. I proceeded directly into their dining room put the hamburgers down. They were not sure what I was doing and three gang members drew their pistols. They asked, “What are you doing?” Then they asked, “How did you find us?”

I replied, “My King said that you were hungry for hamburgers and where you would be so I could bring them to you.” Then I said, “The hamburgers do not have pickles on them.”

They replied, “How did you know that we hate pickles? We were just counting our money to see if we could buy any hamburgers.”

I said, “My King is Faithful. He knows your needs. You are hungry so he asked me to bring hamburgers to serve you. My King knows what you like. That is the reason I held the pickles.”

They responded, “That’s amazing!” With a slight pause, they then said, “Let’s eat.” When they started to eat, I read John 3:16 to them. I then told them that’s how much God loves them. Three of them started to cry and walked over to me. They told they wanted their names written in the lambs book of life. They all knew about Jesus Christ when they were younger. So they knew about the Book of Life. But until you place Jesus into your heart, you truly do not know him. It is extremely easy to go down the wrong path in life if he is not in control of your heart. I prayed for their new journey and their walk with Jesus Christ.  While I was praying for the boys, I noticed that the rest of the gang was pretty quiet. They are wondering what was going on. Not much of anything else happened  during the events of the evening. As I finished praying with them, one of the boys told me their aunt and uncle live here in Denver.  The aunt and uncle know the other two boys real well.  I took all three boys to their home. I prayed for the boys again and for the aunt and uncle. The boys gave their hearts to Jesus Christ and the aunt and uncle rededicated their lives to Jesus Christ. I  am heading home now. My King gets all the Glory and the Victory.

P.S. The parents of the three boys have come up from Dallas Texas and they are now heading home to live their life for Jesus Christ. I am praying that their story will have an effect on those who they meet when they return back to Dallas.

Samuel Has a Hit on My Life

About 3 months ago the undercover police told me that an organization ran by a guy named Samuel had a hit out on me. Bringing Jesus Christ to the gangs has decreased the number of people in his work force generating income. He wanted me stopped. I was waiting till my King told me to go and pray with them. My King still has me going to Denver to continue witnessing to the gangs. He chose me to bring Jesus Christ to gangs and he will protect me as long as I obey him.  My job is a long way from being completed.

I was having a Bible study with the Boys from the Bronx’s. During the study, God said, “The people trying to kill you, their hearts are ready now. Go and pray with Samuel and his organization. Before you go to Denver, take 22 Crosses and 22 Bibles.” After I told the boys from the Bronx what God just revealed to me, we stopped everything and they prayed for me and my safety.

I headed to Denver. I was halfway there then I got the phone call from an undercover police officer. He was directed by the Holy Spirit to call me. He told me there was 22 of them and gave the address of the building. I continue driving until I arrived at the address the undercover police officer gave me. I arrived at approximately 7 PM.

I parked my pickup around the corner of the building near the alley because it was dark and no one could see my pickup. My King told me to remove my license plate before I arrived. As I walked up to the door, I noticed it was one of the fanciest buildings in Denver. God said, “Sonny, anoint the building with oil and pray.” I preceded to walk around to each corner of the building and anointed olive oil on each corner and prayed for those inside that their hearts would be softened to receive God’s Word. As I finished anointing the last corner, I headed towards the main door. God said, “Before you press the door buzzer, anoint your hands with oil.”  I did what God told me to do and anointed my hands with oil and prayed for their hearts some more. I then proceeded to press the speaker button. A guy asked, “What do you want?”

I said, “I’m here to deliver a message to your boss.” Two guys came to the door and took me to the top floor.  The building was teaming with activity. Most of their income is made from drug activity from the gangs working in the late of night. When we stepped out of the elevator, there were 20 men in the room. They all surrounded me. Their boss said, “What’s your message to me?”

I said, “My King brought me here to pray for all of your hearts. He said you are going to die here in this building this very night.  Before this happens, let me pray for all of you.”

The boss, whose name is Samuel, asked, “What’s your name?”

I said, “Sonny, the one you have been looking for. Let me pray for all of you.” Everyone was motionless. I prayed for all of Samuel’s men first. They were just standing there like “What’s going on.” Samuel was the last one I prayed for; but before I prayed for Samuel, I said, “Let me read a verse to you.”  I read Mathew 6:33 to him. His Grandma read that verse to Samuel when he was young and his grandparents had that verse on a plaque on their wall.

After I prayed for each one of his men, I anointed them with olive oil and put crosses and on all of their necks. I gave each of them Bibles. Then I walked up to Samuel and prayed for him and his family. I saw tears coming out of eyes. When I was praying for Samuel, God showed me why his heart was broken and that he needed to forgive his Father because what he did to him and his mother.  After I prayed with him, Samuel took me into his private office away from his men.  Samuel said, “No one ever knew about that. You were sent by God to bring healing to our hearts.” I told him what God had revealed to me about his father. He proceeded to call his Father and tell him that he forgave him for what he did to him and his mother. After that, Samuel told all his families that he gave his heart to Jesus Christ. Then he made a call to someone on his desk phone and told them to leave me alone that he was taking the hit off of me. He hung up the phone and we left his office. He told his men that he has given his heart to Jesus Christ.

I asked them, “Those of you that want your names written in the lambs book of life come and stand in front of me.” Samuel was the first one to give his heart to our King. The rest of them followed.  My King gets all the Glory and the Victory. God spared their lives. I shared some of my story of what God is doing here and in other cities. I started sharing about reaching gangs in New York City Bronx area. Samuel said, “I lived in the Bronx.” He told me that he was born and raised in the Bronx. I told him about what happened at the baseball field on my last visit. For you readers: all the things that God did can be read in my last New York story.

Samuel said, “I remember this baseball field. I actually played there when I was younger. ” He also told me about the abuse he endured there also. He had an opportunity to learn how to box at 14 years of age. After he learned boxing, three boys who were abusing him constantly growing up he eventually confronted and knocked them out cold. This skill eventually landed him the title of gang leader,  then boss of a business involved in drug trade.

After Samuel accepted Jesus Christ, he decided he wanted to give all that up  and serve him. Samuel was lead by the Holy Spirit to take a trip to New York to see his old stomping grounds. He looked the old baseball field over. He remembered when I told him I anointed his building with oil before I entered. He walked around the field and anointed the perimeter and prayed over the field. I told him about Isaiah, the grounds keeper. He saw a guy who was working on the field. Samuel walked over and said, “You must be Isaiah.”

Isaiah replied, “How do you know my name?”

Samuel said, “Sonny told me about you.”

Isaiah asked, “You know Sonny?”

Those two talked about what happened recently in Samuel’s life and I am sure there was some discussion of what the Holy Spirit accomplished when I was there.

While he was there, God lead Samuel to make improvements to the baseball field we used when I was in the Bronx. He approached local businesses to do the work. The company that does the lights for the Yankee Stadium came out and fixed the lights.  These were state of the art lights.  The same as what you would find at the Yankee Stadium. After the company found out it was to be a witness to gangs, there was no bill for the lighting. Samuel approached another local company that replaced the perimeter fence with a beautiful strong one.  Samuel then found a landscaper to come in and make the baseball field look professional. Samuel purchased a bus so they could travel around New York to play gangs and other teams. He wanted the grounds keeper Isaiah to drive the bus. Isaiah accepted the position as bus driver. God has truly changed Samuel heart.

Because of what has happened recently the area around the baseball field is a lot more peaceful. The residents have never seen it as good as it is right now.  Most everything is free to used by the locals. When we believe in God and trust what he can do. He can change the world. I am sure there is a lot of praying going on. That is where most of the power and peace is coming from.

Serving Supper at the Latino’s Home

A new weekend is about to occur. I have not heard anything from the Holy Spirit what I should do to minister this weekend. I prayed, “My King, where do you want me to go?”

God responded, “Go to Denver and take two 12 packs of Dr Pepper, one 12 pack of Coke and pick up seven pizzas. Make sure the pizzas are hot. For dessert get two packs of double stuffed Oreos. Take them to home of the Latinos for supper. They will be very hungry.”  I stopped at a King Soopers and picked up two packages of double stuffed Oreos.  I wanted to get the pizza last so that it would be hot.

I said, “Lord I don’t know where they live you have to show me.”

My King said, “I will show you where they live. You just go.” I headed towards Denver. I had coupons and I was going to stop by the Little Caesars place that I frequent.  But God had other plans. I was starting to drive by a Pizza Hut. God said, “Sonny, get your pizzas over here at this Pizza Hut. I want you to order all large Meat Lovers Pizzas.” I stopped and walked in to order the pizzas. It was starting to get dark and there were quite a few people in the restaurant already being a Friday night.

I said, “I would like to order 7 large meat lover pizzas.”

The Pizza Hut employees said, “That’s a lot of Pizza.”

I said, ” I am going to serve supper to a gang here in Denver. I share the message of Jesus Christ to them.”

Two girl employees and their manager came over to greet me. The manager asked,  “Are you the one who witnesses to the gangs down here in Denver?”

“I am the one. My name is Sonny.” I replied.

They gathered around me and laid their hands on me praying over the food I was to serve, for the hearts of the gang members and for my protection.  They did this in a fairly loud audible voice.  I even noticed that there were people at tables near us who are holding their hands towards us in confirmation  praying with us. This moment touched me so much I couldn’t stop crying. Before I had a chance to pay the manager said to me, “Sonny, if you pay for three pizzas I will buy the other four pizzas.” Only God knew that I would be getting the four pizzas for free. I also found out later that the gang likes Pizza Hut pizzas the best.

My king took me right to their front door of their home. I could tell that I was at the right location because of all the Ford Mustang cars parked around the home. What was so cool was when I arrived there was a spot right in between all the cars for me to park my pickup. First, I got the pizzas out of my pickup. I walked to the front door. Before I was half way to the door, two young men came around the south side of the house and two more came from the north side of the house. They asked, “What do you want? We didn’t order any pizzas.” Since it was so dark outside they did not recognize who I am.

I said, “It’s me Sonny.”

The leader stepped out of the house and said, “Sonny, how did you find us?”

I said, “My king brought me here to bring you guys supper.”

The leader said,  “Come on in Sonny. We are extremely hungry and we were wondering what we were going to eat tonight.” I continued to carry the pizzas into the house. I said, “I have refreshments out in the cooler in my pickup that I need to get.” The leader sent two guys out with me to help me retrieve the cooler. The two guys that came with me carried the cooler into the house. I did not tell him what was in the cooler and I know they were expecting it just to be bottled water. As they opened it up they saw that there was pop in there.

You may be asking why there is pop when I usually give them bottled water all the time. God asked me the same question. God said, “Sonny, what do you like to have when you eat a hamburger?” I said, “I like to have my hamburger with a soda pop. God replied, “The gang members would like to have one also.” This happened one afternoon about 1 p.m. What is interesting about this is about 4 p.m. the same day the guy that helps me in this ministry was thinking about the word “serving” gang members. He was contemplating or the Holy Spirit was revealing; if I enjoy drinking a pop with my food why shouldn’t the gang members experience what I am. He called me at that time and ask the same question that God asked me confirming that we should do this. He then asked me, “What do gang members like to drink?”

I said, “Pepsi, Coke, Mountain Dew.” King Soopers had a sale on their pop four 12-packs for $10.  He loaded up on soda pop so I could serve this gang and others. I did not mention Dr. Pepper to him as a choice but the Holy Spirit showed him that we need to have Dr. Pepper as a choice. God loves us so much that he wants us to have the best.

They asked me, “Do we get to have pop tonight?

I said, “I have a cooler full of pop.”

The leader said, “Sonny, what kind of pop did you bring.”

I said, “Dr Pepper.”

The leader responded, ” There is nothing better than Dr. Pepper.”

The girls in the house asked, “Are there any Cokes in there?”

I said, “Yes, I do have Coke. God told me to bring a 12 pack of Coke along.”

The girls responded, “This is great! We’ve been craving a Coke all day.”

I said, “The guy you guys call Mustang said he wanted to bless you guys with pop because nothing is better than eating Pizza and drinking a cold Dr Pepper.”

The Leader said, “Tell Mustang I said thank you very much and that may God bless him for thinking of us.” Before they started to eat I prayed for supper. They invited me to eat pizza with them because there was a lot of pizza. The leader did ask why I brought so much pizza. I told them it was to have enough so they could eat lunch tomorrow.  I told him this pizzas is given for you guys only.

As they started eating, my King said to read Jeremiah 29:11 and Mathew 6:33 and explain what those verses meant. They really listened to me speak about God’s word. We then began talking about their cars for an hour when they told me they had to leave. I prayed for them and they got in their cars and drove away. My King gets all the Glory and the Victory. I see more of a heart change in these guys every time we meet.  The home where the gang members lived was kept in good order. Everything was very clean and immaculate.
