Meeting SWAT

My King has a great love for all those who serve to protect our country. That includes our military, our highway patrolman, the undercover police and even our SWAT. I pray that someday our all of our government leaders will love those who serve us as much as President Trump does. My King now wants me to minister to our SWAT. Monday, I was asked to go down and talk to the Denver SWAT. There were 78 people who showed up when I arrived.

This group that I met is just one of the many shifts of SWAT. They are like a big family. Many times they have barbecues together, go hunting and fishing together and go on vacation trips together like one big family. They all know about Jesus Christ but most of them do not have a personal relationship with him. Because of this, they have moments of jealousy and marriage problems. My King wanted me to go to talk to them so he could renew their hearts to have that personal relationship with him that they are missing.

I had no set agenda planned. After I prayed over the meeting, they started asking questions. One of the biggest questions was on forgiveness. They know about how much I forgive other people that have beaten me. I did not want it to be about me so I took their thoughts when our King was beaten. I said, “When they arrested Jesus, they took him to a place where a Roman guard beat him with a whip that had bones in the tip which was physically ripping skin out of his back as they beat him. Even after 39 times, our King was praying to the Father to forgive for the people for what they were doing to him.” I then said, “After this treatment, they demanded that he carry his Cross for his own crucifixion. He lost so much blood and the pain of the weight of the Cross on his wounds made him drop to his knees. Simon had to finish the job of carrying his Cross. Still, Jesus had no animosity towards anyone. I am sure he was still praying for those around him.” I then looked around the room see many eyes tearing up. I continued, “They then nailed his hands and feet to that Cross where they continued to mock him until he was ready to release his Spirit. At the end, Jesus pleaded with the Father to forgive everyone there because they did not realize what they were doing.” At this time he was taking on the sins of the world and our Father had left Jesus to be away from all that sin he took on himself. This was the first time Jesus experienced the pain of being away from the Father. No man has ever been totally away from the Father except those who have choose the Lake of Fire.” They were beginning to understand what true forgiveness was about.

They began asking about the Holy Spirit and doing God’s will. I held my Bible up and said, “Read and study this book. It will tell what God’s will is in your life.” One of the men who had more knowledge of the Holy Spirit began asking me questions that he knew other people were thinking. I answered all his questions about the Holy Spirit for the benefit of the others. This opened up a slew of questions.

One question was, “Why did Jesus say ‘Take this cup from me.'”? I said, “Jesus came as a man and like us he would rather take an easier and less painful path. But because of the love for our Father in heaven he chose the Father’s will over his.”

Another question was, “How did the thief on the Cross get baptized?” I said, “When Jesus died on the Cross it rained on the thief and washed him. The act of baptism is to show your surrender of you life to Christ. The water represents the washing away of our sins. There can be Salvation without baptism. Many have given their lives to Jesus on their death bed and water was not present.”

The last question asked was, “What is it to give your heart to Jesus Christ?” I said, “To truly give your heart to Jesus Christ you need to ask him to forgive you of all your sins first. After you do that, just ask him to come into your heart. You will want him to become the ruler of your life. From now on you will want to serve and please him. After you turn your life over to him, you will experience what true freedom is Jesus Christ is all about.”

The Holy Spirit has been working the crowd while I have been speaking. Most everyone was becoming teary-eyed. This was basically the last time I said anything. From now on, the SWAT members took over the conversation. One women stood up and said, “I have been a jerk to my husband I want him to forgive me for what I have done to him. I also want a true relationship with Jesus Christ. I am tired of being a weekend Christian.” Her husband tearfully responded, “I too ask my wife to forgive me for all the things that I have done to her. ” This started a chain reaction and soon 60 couples beginning to ask for forgiveness from their spouses. There were some very personal things that were being said that they wanted to be forgiven from. Others were jealous because some were better at something then they were. Our King gives each man certain skills. The enemy wants us to desire another man’s talents over what God gave us. God is pleased if we are greatful for the talents we have and use them to do his will. Besides, Isn’t God really the only one who we need to please with our talents. They continue to confess their sins to our high priest Jesus Christ to release them from this bondage. Towards the end, they ask me one more question.

The asked, “Sonny, how do you forgive others?”

I said, “Once you see people the way God sees them, it is easy.” Before I could say anything else, one of the men there who knew me pretty well stepped in and and said, “Sonny used to see gang members as a lions when he first witnessed to the gangs. Now he sees them as young boys who are looking for the Father.” This was the last question they asked me. They started praying for each other. Then they wanted to pray for me. A lot of emotion was shown even among the macho men as the Holy Spirit was moving in the room. It was midnight as we finished praying for each other. They all rededicated their lives to Jesus Christ tonight. I arrived at my apartment at 1AM. My King wanted me to see some of the Captains tomorrow night.

It was Tuesday evening and I headed down to where the captains were supposed to meet me. I was told that I would be meeting five captains but when I arrived there ended up being 12 captains. As I introduced myself to them, their wives showed up 20 minutes later. That was not expected either. I found out the wives of the captains had conversations with the SWAT wives the night before. Their testimonies were so powerful that they convicted the wives of the captains. They just had to meet with their husbands to ask them for forgiveness. They lined up along the wall and began confessing things that needed to be forgiven in front of everyone. Boy, did that ever bring tears to the eyes of the men. The confession of their wives convicted them. They realized they needed to do the same. The men also lined up along the same wall and begin confessing things to their wives in front of everyone. Soon everybody was crying. Up to this point, I have been silent. The men and their wives physically took over the meeting with their confessions to each other. I can feel the freedom they were experiencing after they confessed to each other.

The most serious question they asked was, “What if I cannot forgive someone one?”. My King gave me the answer even before he asked the question. When I arrived my King said, “Sonny, pick up those three stones that are laying on the sidewalk.” I was clueless about why he asked me to do this but I know now they were for a demonstration. I picked the stones up and placed them in my pocket and proceeded to walk inside. Immediately, when he asked that question, I knew what the stones were for. I remember in the Bible when Jesus who was to be trapped and turned it to challenged those there about forgiveness. I quoted:

{At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4 and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” 6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.

But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.

9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”

11 “No one, sir,” she said.

“Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”}

I pulled the stones out that God had me put in my pocket. I laid them on the table and said, “Those of you without sin throw the first stone against those who you cannot forgive.” When we begin to realize that we are not sin free ourselves and God does not rate sin like humans do. We want to rate sin to make ourselves superior to those who we say commit worse sins. Our King looks down on all sin and he wants us to see sin the way he does.

Everyone in the room understood the Kings message and were silent. I said, “Not only do we need to forgive those who have sinned against us, we need to leave our own life of sin.” I then said, “Both the men and the women have asked for forgiveness with each other. We should now ask God to forgive our sins against him.” The men started first to ask God for forgiveness followed by the women. After they were done they all wanted to rededicate their lives to Jesus Christ to become the men and women that he wants. This is something that my King wanted to have happen in their lives. My King gets the Glory in the Victory.

Monday, I had a chance to meet with the SWAT again. My King has transferred their lives immensely since last week. It was an awesome blessing to be able to serve our SWAT. My King wants me to continue to meet with SWAT on a regular basis.

Christmas in Nevada

My sister and brother-in-law, living in Reno Nevada, wanted me to celebrate the Christmas holiday with them. She said, “Sonny, you need to take a vacation. I have sent airplane tickets for you to come and stay with us.” My King thought this time to refresh myself would be good for me. I arrived early at the airport in Denver. I went through security at Southwest Airlines quickly and used the extra time to read my Bible. A lady noticed the writing on my hoodie and me reading my Bible. She asked me to pray for her. I gladly prayed over her situation. The two pilots that were flying the plane also observed what was going on. As I finished praying for her, they came up to me and asked, “We saw reading your Bible and praying for that woman. Would you pray with us to have a safe journey to Nevada?” Both men were Christians and knew about the power of prayer.

I said, “Of course I will.” So I prayed for safe trip and for their families. It was awesome. God is so faithful. It still was not time to board the jet so I continued reading. Two airline stewardess came up to me and asked me if I would pray with them. They also were part of the flight to Nevada. They asked if I would pray for their families because they were going through some tough circumstances. God just kept sending people to me so I could pray for them at the Denver airport. God loves us too much to lose an opportunity to reach or encourage us. Even on vacation, let us never get so selfish that we don’t use the opportunities God gives you to witness to people. Because we’re here to pray for those that are lost or brokenhearted. The loudspeaker finally called me to board the plane. I had a chance to sit in the front row where there is a lot of leg room. As I was sitting, a little eight year old boy, whose name is Carlton, sat by me. He was from a Wyoming ranch. He dressed the part with the cowboy hat and cowboy boots. He was going to visit his mom in Nevada. He saw me reading my Bible and asked, “Are you a Pastor.”

I replied, “God has given me a ministry to witness to gangs all over the United States. I minister a lot on the streets on Colfax in Denver.”

Carlton then asked, “What does it mean to be born again.? I have heard my Dad talk about being born again. ” I explained to him about being born again. I said, “You first ask Jesus to forgive you of all your sins. This is followed by asking Jesus Christ to come into your heart. The Holy Spirit then transforms your heart. At this point you are now a new creation under Jesus Christ. This is what being born again means.”

The little boy paused then said, “I want Jesus Christ to come into my heart.” I prayed for Colton and he accepted Jesus Christ into his heart. He began crying and thanked me for for telling him how simple it was to be born again. He couldn’t wait to get to Nevada to tell his mom what he just did. After we landed in Nevada, the airline stewardess came over and thanked me for sitting with Colton. She also prayed for me before escorting Colton to his Mom. Both my sister and brother-in-law picked me up at the airport. They introduced me to some people that needed prayer. The Holy Spirit touched their iives as he gave me the words to pray with them. They all re-dedicated their hearts to God. It was so beautiful to see the Holy Spirit in action.
God gets all the Glory and the Victory.

The next day my sister took me to a restaurant to eat breakfast. As we began eating breakfast, my sister noticed that there was a girl crying in the restaurant. She said, “There is a girl in the corner booth crying.” Immediately God said, “Sonny, go and pray for her.” I got up and walked over to the table where she was sitting. My sister was amazed when I went to her but was not surprised. I stood by her table and said, “My sister noticed that you were crying and my King sent me here to pray for you. You are never alone. God loves you and wants to bring healing to you.” As I prayed with her and her mom, they both began crying. As I finished praying, they both wanted to rededicate their hearts to Jesus Christ. They then said, “It is so beautiful that you would come and take the time to pray with us.” The Holy Spirit showed me that their names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

The next day we went shopping. As we came out of the store, a man stopped me near the door. He reacked of alcohol. He noticed the writing on my hoodie and asked, “Are you a preacher? ”

I said, “I am more of an evangelist. I reach gangs in Colorado.”

He the said, “Why are you here? Shouldn’t you be working?” He began trashing me some more so God locked his lips so he could not speak.

I replied, “Even Jesus got away from it all to re-energize his Spirit to become more effective for the Kingdom of God.” I the notice he carried a locked Bible. I then said, “You have a lock on your Bible. Don’t you realize God’s word is to be kept free. Any Bible should be available to read by anyone. Are you trying to prevent people from finding out the truth about my King. I know you are hiding truth about what you are doing. You cannot hide anything from God. You know it is wrong to use God’s word to scam people for money so you can go to the liquor store. Your soul is at stake. You need to repent now. No one is guaranteed tomorrow.” I could see the panic on his face when he could not utter a word. I then said, “When you get one block away from me, God will restore your voice. ” He left as quickly as he could. I am sure that he is going to make changes in his life as he ran away.

Every day that I was in Nevada, I came into contact with somebody who needed prayer of some kind or encouragement. I had a blessed time with my sister and my brother-in-law. Now it is time to go home. When I arrived at the airport, God kept sending people to me for prayer. The weather in Colorado was supposed to be bad when our flight would arrive. The two stewardesses asked me to pray for a safe trip back to Colorado. I then boarded the jet and sat down in my seat. Two girls sat by me on the plane. They saw my Bible and asked me if I would pray with them. As I prayed a prayer of salvation with them, they asked, “Is it really that easy to accept Jesus Christ.”

I said, “Yes it is.”

They both said, “We are sisters and we both have been running from God. We both are tired of running. We would like to rededicate our hearts to Jesus Christ.” Our King gets all the Glory and the Victory. Never forget that if you go on vacation, always look for opportunities to talk to people about Jesus Christ. When I got back home I was thoroughly refreshed. It is time again to be part of God’s great revival that is coming to America. I want to be on the front lines with him when he starts moving.

Afternoon at the Cemetery

My King had me go out New Years day to witness to two gangs in east Denver. One of the gangs was a new gang. It was cold so no one was outside. I walked to their cars and talked to them about Jesus Christ through their windows. I physically went from car-to-car to talk to each of them. Many of them asked questions but when I got to the leader’s car he listen to me for a minute but soon rolled his window up to cut me off. I continued to do this with both gangs. After witnessing to both gangs, I was starting to get tired. Normally, I’d go to another place nearby to rest when I am at this park. But for some reason God had me stop by another nearby parking lot to rest. A cemetery was next to where I parked.

As I was laying back to rest, I was looking towards the cemetery. I noticed a hearse unloading a casket. It looked odd to have a funeral but no family members present. As this thought crossed my mind, God said, “Sonny, go over there and pray and read John 3:16 over the casket. I said, “Lord, why do you want me to pray over a dead body?” My King does not need to justify anything thay he does and said, “Sonny just go over and do it.” I was in what they call a protest mode. Because I felt that it could be so foolish praying to a corpse. But I did what my King asked. I walked over to the grave site. As I approached the men, one of the five guys present asked, “Do you know John.”

I said, “No, but I said my King told me to come here to read John 3:16 and pray over him.” As they listened, I began by reading John 3:16 over the casket. I wasn’t sure what to pray but I said, “Holy Spirit, you take over and give me the words to pray.” The Holy Spirit started giving me words to pray. I looked intently at each man as I prayed over John. I could see everyone starting to cry. Then I realized that John 3:16 and the prayer was not meant for the deceased but it was for them. Soon, I had the opportunity to pray for each man there. I stayed at the head of the casket as I prayed for all of them. I said, “John cannot change his destiny. He is either going to be in the Lake of Fire or with our King in heaven. Even for me tomorrow is never promised. We need to turn our lives over to Jesus Christ today.” They all began to turn their lives over to Jesus Christ as I finish speaking. All five gave their hearts to Jesus Christ. One guy’s name was Isaac. He operates the tractor and other equipment at the cemetery. He was one of the first ones to call his wife and share what he just did. The other four men also called their wives and shared with them what just happened. Isaac’s wife came down immediately to meet me.

When she arrived, I could tell she was pregnant. My King revealed that she was going to have a boy. She ecstatically asked Isaac who was responsible for him accepting Jesus Christ as a personal Savior. Isaac pointed me out and she came over and began talking to me about Isaac. She said, “Isaac has been a good husband to me but really never wanted much to do with God. Something that happened in his youth totally turned him off about God. He may go to church on Christmas or Easter for me but that was as much of God that he wanted. I have been praying a long time for him that Jesus Christ would touch his heart. You came into his life one day and change his life forever.”

I said, “My King told me to come over and pray for Isaac. He gets the Glory and the Victory for Isaac’s heart change.”

She said, “That may be true but you chose to obedient to his calling. And for that I am truly greatful.” She continued to share more information about her family. Before she left, she asked, “Could you pray for the birth and health of my baby before we go?”

I said, “I would love to pray for your son.” She was surprised when I knew the sex of her baby. She said, “You are right the ultrasound test showed it was a boy. ” I layed my hand on her shoulder to pray for her. She immediately moved my hand over her belly. As words began to come out of my mouth, the baby began moving around. He continued to move as the Holy Spirit moved the child. I said, “God has great plans for your son.” Isaac began the process of placing the casket in the ground and covering it with dirt. They quicky finished the task and moved the equipment away. As Isaac began to leave with his wife, I was also getting ready to leave. My King said, “Sonny, I want you to stay here and continue praying.” I sat down and began praying. Shortly, a black Cadillac showed up beside me. I did not think a lot about the car because I figured that they were here to view the grave of someone else. But they walked over to me.

The family was waiting for the grave to be covered. It was too heart breaking to see their sons casket being lowered into the ground. They were surprised to see me here by myself by their son’s grave. They half crying asked, “Do you know our son John?”

I said, “My King brought me here to pray over your son.” They thought that was awesome that I prayed over their son. The mom began sharing with me who their son was.

John had a high paying job and he gave his life over to Jesus Christ. He had great compassion for homeless people. He quit his job and gave up life’s luxuries to be out in the field with them. He would do odd jobs to get money to buy food and clothes for those living on the street. He would do anything to help those on the street. We went to Cosco many times for him to get food and clothes for John so he could distribute them to the homeless. John would look for close outs on food to be able to buy more for the homeless. He finally caught the Coronavirus. He did not go to hospital for treatment and soon passed away one night. After learning all this about John, I gave the mom one of my ministry cards. She looked at the card and paused a short time. She then reached into her purse and pulled out another one of my cards. She said, “My son talked about a man who was beaten badly that he helped. He said that God healed him while he was holding him in his arms. Are you that man?”

I said, “Yes, I am that man. Your son was brave in the presence of the gang that beat me up. I was grateful for him.” I continued to share with them more about God’s ministry. When is was time to go, the whole family asked me to pray for a fresh Anointing from God. They also rededicated their hearts to Jesus Christ. My King gets the Glory and the Victory. What I thought was foolishness changed the life of the five men and John’s family. That was one of the best 2.5 hours I have ever spent. John is in heaven with our King. His life on earth was spent transforming the lives of the homeless. I am sure he had a big impact on others who saw him shining the light of Jesus Christ.

Pimp Jerome Follows Jesus

It is the weekend before Christmas and my King had me witnessing on the streets. I was near a place on Colfax where ten pimps were having a meeting. In these meetings, they discuss their territories where they can distribute their girls and they swap and buy girls. It is a lot like buying a better race horse to increase one’s revenue. My King said, “Sonny, I want you to go and pray with them.” As I drove towards their Mercedes van, they recognized my pickup. Four of them got out of the vehicle and pointed their pistols at me. Jerome is one of the pimps who was standing with them.

Jerome is a well built African American who I have been trying to witness to for a while. He would always draw his pistol on me and would say, “Sonny, I do not want to hear anything about Jesus Christ.” He never shot at me but he would always proceed to get back into his van and leave. Sometimes his body guards would rough me up but never seriously harmed me. Later, I was about to find out from the undercover police that they’ve been trying to catch him in the act of this trade and they have not been successful. They also said he was the meanest pimp in Denver. One day I had a chance to talk to him more and I gave him a message from our King. I said, “Jerome, the day is coming when you will be coming to me to ask questions about Jesus Christ. I will reveal to you his love and his plan for your life.” I think this scared him even more. Jerome’s time was to come soon. But tonight, Jerome did not draw his pistol on me as he stood with the rest of the pimps.

They said, “Sonny, we do not want you to talk to us about Jesus Christ. If you do not leave now, we are going to shoot you.”

I said, “Okay, but I want to pray for you guys before I go.”

They said, “Go ahead, but get it over with quickly.” I began praying for each one. As I got to one of the pimps to pray for him he started poking the barrel of his pistol into my head while I was praying for him. I continued praying while I ignored it. One of the pimps stepped up and said, “Quit poking Sonny with that pistol! Sonny is not here to cause problems. He is just praying for us.” As I finished praying for the last one they said for me to quickly get out of here and get going. I headed to my pickup and left. The Holy Spirit revealed the things I needed to pray for each of these men. Jerome was beginning a heart transformation.

It is now New Year’s Eve night and my King had me witnessing out on the streets again. A black Mercedes van pulled up beside me. Jerome got out and wanted to talk to me. He had ten beautiful girls with him. Since our last encounter, he decided to released his girls so they could go back home. Jerome treated his girls better than most pimps. They had nice clothes and no scars on them which showed me that he did not beat them. After he released the girls, he gave each one a three inch thick pile of 100 dollar bills. The girls came with him to meet me because of the transformation of Jerome. Jerome began to ask questions about Jesus Christ and what to do in order to be saved. The girls, as they listened, began to turn their hearts over to Jesus Christ also. Even Jerome’s bodyguards wanted to give their hearts over to Jesus Christ. They asked, “Sonny, could you forgive us for all the bad things we did to you?”

I replied, “I forgave you that same day for what you did to harm me. Just as Jesus Christ has forgivin me for all the bad things I have done to him, I will always forgive you.” I prayed for everyone as they begin to turn their lives over to Jesus Christ. Six of the girls called their parents to come and get them. Four of the girls did not want their parents to come to this part of the city and wanted me to take them home which I did later. I stayed until the parents arrived safely for the other girls.  Jerome signed over the titles of their cars to them.  He wanted to make sure they had something to start their new lives with Jesus Christ. While we continued waiting for the parents to arrive,  another van showed up. Jerome said, “Excuse me Sonny. I need to take care of this.” I watched as Jerome went over to the other van and spoke to the guy. Jerome came back and explained, “This guy was another pimp who wanted to exchange some girls with me. I told him that I turned my life over to Jesus Christ and already released my girls to go home. He was kind of shocked when I told him that but he did wish me that I would have a good life with my decision.” Soon after Jerome told me what happened, the parents started showing up. I prayed for the parents of the girls. They too wanted to give their lives to Jesus Christ after seeing what happened to their daughters. I then proceeded to take the rest of the girls home and to meet their parents. They too wanted to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour after they found out what happened. My King gets the the Glory and the the Victory. If it would not be for the Holy Spirit going in and softening their hearts first, I would not be able to accomplish what my King asked me to do. I have learned the importance of when to go in and witness to whoever my King want to reveal himself to.

The undercover police we’re watching my every move I made as I was talking with Jerome. They wanted to know what we talked about.  They revealed to me again that they’ve been trying to get him off the streets by arresting him for doing illegal activities. I told him that he has now given his life over to Jesus Christ. They were shocked at first when I told them this because of the fact he was such a mean dude.  But again,  they have seen God work through me with other people just as bad. They too were joyous that he gave his life over to Jesus Christ.

Now its 2021

It is now the year 2021 and I firmly believe that God has already started the great revival in this ministry just this last year. He has been bringing numerous gangs into Denver. I am excited to be part of this great season. The reason I know that it is him is because of the way their hearts have been prepared for me to witness to them when they get here. Blue Mustang even noticed what God has been doing. Our God loves us too much to let anyone perish. He is working hard to reach everyone before his return. But again, if we do not accept his gift of Jesus Christ, we will perish. This was our choice not his.  I believe he is coming before this decade is over. No, he has not confirmed this with me.

The gang ministry still needs President Donald Trump’s biblical based agenda to succeed in order to keep our freedom to reach others for Jesus Christ. We are praying that God will destroy anything that prevents that. God’s ministry is wanting and praying for America to be free of abortion and his people to be free to stand strong with his agenda. All of us here are praying that President Donald Trump will be able to finish what God has started in him. Mr. President, continue to honor our King so he can do mighty things in your life. We are going to continue here to bring Jesus Christ to gangs and whomever God brings into our path.

Serving Thanksgiving to Seven Gangs

It was a week before Thanksgiving and my King said, “Sonny, let us do something for the gangs. Last year we did it before Thanksgiving but I want to do it on Thanksgiving. That day has many special memories for many of the gang members. I have seven different gangs that I want you to bring meals to. You will go to each gangs home to serve them.” I told the undercover police what my King said and you should have seen all the volunteers that’s stepped up to help me make meals. I probably would have bought turkey meals at Kentucky Fried Chicken but they all said “No.This one is going to be on us. We don’t want Blue Mustang to have to spend anything on these meals.” Almost all the gangs have 25 or more people in them. So it required two turkeys, lots of stuffing, mashed potatoes and the works. Based upon the nationality of some of the undercover police, there were variations added. There was an African American Girl who wanted to make cornbread. Somebody from an Italian background wanted to use French bread with garlic to serve with the meals. So there were many variations for these gangs to have with their meals.

Since I only had a couple hours to serve all seven gangs, we used vans to haul food from each home to my pickup. We had a time schedule that we kept so when I got ready to go to the next gang the next van was all loaded with food. All I had to do was transfer it to my pickup and head to the next gang. The gang’s all know my pickup truck and they do not tolerate any strange vehicles coming into their vicinity. It was important to have the food in a vehicle they recognized. The first three gangs that I went to knew me the best. I did not spend a lot of time with any of them. When I showed up to their homes, my King always had me be quiet about the food. He asked me to tell them that Jesus loves them and to pray for them. Then after you finish praying for them, let them know that you have a Thanksgiving feast out in your pickup. It was amazing that when I mentioned food, the guns went down immediately. Their leaders said go out and help Sonny bring the food in. The first three gangs knew me pretty well so they treated me kindly as I came to pray for them and then surprise them with the food. The fourth and fifth gang had weapons on me and pushed me around. I told them that Jesus Christ loved them and prayed for the gang and finished up telling them I have a Thanksgiving meal for them.

The sixth gang greeted me with shotguns at the door. Like all the gangs, they always said, “Sonny, we don’t want to hear anything about Jesus Christ. If you do say anything about him, we’re going to shoot you now.” My response is always, “Before you shoot me please let me pray for you before you do.” They always allow me to pray for them. This is because my King has already prepared their hearts for me before I ever get there. After I finished up praying, I said, “Today is Thanksgiving and I have a meal out in my pickup to feed you guys.” Of course, when I mentioned food for them, they too lost interest in shooting me and put their weapons down. Their leader told the gang to get out there and help him bring that food in. The last gang was really different. All of their men were carrying automatic weapons. The last two gangs were considered the meanest gangs in Denver but as I was about to find out that the last two gangs would become more acceptable to the message of Jesus Christ. My King was having me return to all of them tomorrow.

My King used Thanksgiving day to plant seed in the lives of these seven gangs. I could see it while I was serving Thanksgiving dinner. I could see gang members cry as I served them. They were thinking about that time that they had with their families in past Thanksgivings. Friday, my King had me talk to all seven gangs again. I went in the same order as I did on Thanksgiving day. He told me to bring donuts to feed the gangs. I spent approximately two hours with each gang to talk more about Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit was working in their hearts during the Thanksgiving feast to prepare them for today. 42 gang members from seven gangs gave their life to Jesus Christ. Many of those that gave their life to Jesus Christ Friday were those that were crying during the Thanksgiving celebration the day before. My King is not satisfied with that number so he had me go back again on Saturday.

Saturday morning my King had me get more breakfast food for the first three gangs. I served them breakfast again and talked more about the Jesus Christ with them. When it came time meet the fourth and fifth gangs it was getting closer to lunch time. My King told me to feed tacos to gangs four and five. I was driving off to Taco Bell to get the tacos. As I was driving by one of those taco trucks, my King said, “I want you to stop and get forty tacos from that taco truck.” I slowed down and approached the truck. The guy in the truck noticed my sweatshirt talking about Jesus and gangs. He asked me what it meant. I said, ” It represents my ministry. My mission is to reach gangs here in Denver and cities across the United States where my King sends me. I tell them about the love of Jesus Christ that he has for them and pray for their salvation.” I then introduced myself to him.

He replied, “I too was once a gang member, a long time ago. Somebody like you came to me when I lived in California and shared the love of Jesus Christ to me. I then gave my heart to Jesus Christ. God had me start this taco business.” He proceeded to show me the inside of his van. I walked with him towards the back where the cooking area was. I looked at the back wall and noticed that there were three crosses hanging on it. It was pretty cool how he had things set up. Pedro and Maria were the husband and wife that owned the van. Pedro called it the “Taco Van” but his wife called it the “Taco’s for Heaven Van”. They go into some pretty dark areas to feed people. They only charge $1 for a huge taco. His relatives pay for all the supplies in the van to enable him to do this ministry. He feeds people who do not have a lot of money. He likes to be able to share Jesus Christ with these people while feeding them. I then ordered 40 tacos from him. I asked, “How much do I owe you for the tacos?”

He said, “Sonny, since you are honoring our King by bringing Jesus Christ to gangs, there is no charge. I remember what it was like before I was saved. I want to help bring Jesus Christ to them.” I put the tacos in warmers to keep them hot for both gangs. I wanted to go to Taco Bell to save money but my King took me to a place where the owner wanted served Jesus Christ by furnishing the tacos. They were like eating homemade tacos. He made them the way the gangs liked them. I have been noticing lately that my King is wanting to serve more homemade foods to the gangs and people, like Pedro, are providing home cooked food out of their budget. That shows how much my King and people love them by wanting to give them the best. I prayed with him and thanked him for the tacos.

I then went to serve gang four. They welcomed the food but my King still needs to do more work on their hearts. I have planted more seeds into their hearts today on top of the ones I planted yesterday.  They were still not ready to give their hearts to Jesus Christ. From here, I left to serve gang five.

With all the love my King has shown gang five up till this moment and their missing out on family this holiday, it was to much for them. The whole gang wanted to turn their hearts over to Jesus Christ. They asked Jesus Christ to forgive them all their sins from all the things they have done. They then asked him to come into their hearts. I prayed for them while they called home to rejoin their families. It was fantastic to see this whole gang turn their lives over to Jesus Christ. Until they all went home, they continued to talk about their new found freedom and asked questions about Jesus Christ. My King gets the Glory in the Victory.

My King knew that I was late in the afternoon when I was done sharing with gang five. He told me the last two gangs would rather have snacks. I still had lots of water and pop with me. I proceeded to Cosco to get chips, granola bars and candy bars to take to them. I headed off to meet with the leader of the sixth gang. They enjoyed the stacks that I brought and thoroughly enjoyed to them. I again prayed for them and told them about how much Jesus Christ love them but they were still not ready to give their lives up for Jesus Christ, yet. I then went to the serve gang seven. The snacks I brought them they thoroughly enjoyed. But the Holy Spirit had their hearts ready for me. After they finish their snacks, they said, “Sonny, we want to give our lives over to Jesus Christ,. They too asked for Jesus to forgive them of all the bad things they’ve done in their past. They then asked for Jesus to come into their hearts. Both gangs five and seven gave all their hearts to Jesus Christ that Saturday. My King gets the Glory and the Victory. I was about to hear from gang six this evening.

The leader of the sixth gang called me later that night and had questions about Jesus Christ but did not want to discuss it over the phone. I told him I would be there. I was not sure if it was a test because he did not want to speak over the phone or if he thought it was bugged. It did not matter to me. The most important thing was to make sure that his name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. I made it arrangements to meet him on Sunday.

I left for Denver on Sunday morning to go to the gang leaders home. The leader invited me inside. I found out why he wanted to speak to me in person. The whole gang was there and they were all wanting to ask questions about Jesus Christ. I spent several hours answering their questions and praying for them. As the discussion ensued, I noticed family members starting to come in. They were already planning to give their hearts to Jesus Christ but this moment was so special for them that they wanted to share it in front of their families. I then asked those who wanted to give their hearts to Jesus Christ to come over to me to pray for them. They all came over to me and they all gave their hearts to Jesus Christ.

I got to think about how sad it is that we do not enjoy coming to Jesus Christ like this gang did. When Jesus comes into our life he releases us from bondage of sin where we discover that New Freedom in Christ. Shouldn’t we be as excited about what Jesus did for us as this gang discovered. Jesus is the groom and we are his bride and coming together should be as exciting a man and a woman coming together in a marriage ceremony. He should be treated in the same manner because he has done much more than any groom can do for his bride. Let living for Jesus Christ be an exciting time of our lives.

I spent my whole Thanksgiving weekend with these guys and I loved every minute of it. I would give up my Thanksgiving weekend again to be able to serve my King and to make a difference in other gangs that he would send to me next year. My King gets the the Glory and the the Victory.

Buying Gas for Katie

As I was going to go out to witness to gangs, my King said, “Sonny, you need to go down to a gas station here Loveland and wait there. He said Katie, a girl you gave a ministry card to at a Loveland High School speaking engagement, is going to be calling you.” I went to that gas station that my King directed me to go to. It was close to her home and she regularly filled there. Soon my phone rang and I answered. Sure enough, it was Katie. She asked, “Sonny, I do not know what to do. Because of Covid, both of my parents have been laid off and are out of work. Being in college, I have applications out to get a job but I have no cash flow presently. My cars tank is almost out of gas. I need help.”

I said, “My King already has me waiting at your gas station to fill your car.” Katie started to cry. She was amazed that I was ready to help her before she even asked. Katie lost no time getting there. I began filling her car with gas. While I was pumping, my King gave me a vision of her Dad. He showed me her Dad reading these papers. I could not read the writing. So I asked, “What do the papers say?”

My King said, “Sonny, the only thing you need to know is that it is going to ruin his family and cost him his salvation.” After this vision occurred, Katie said, “Could you come and pray for my family?”

I said, “I would love to. You lead the way.” We headed off to her home. I introduced myself to the family. Her brother was gone for a long time and nobody knew where he was. Even my King was silent on the matter.  I prayed over her Mother then I went to her Dad. I pulled her Dad aside and said, “My King has shown me you are reading something that is going to destroy this family and it will destroy your salvation. We are never promised tomorrow. You need to fix this problem today for you may die tomorrow. My King has revealed that you have been hiding it in your garage.” Her Dad turned towards the garage and headed there. I followed him there with the rest of the family. I then said, “They are locked up in that drawer.” He then unlocked the drawer and pulled out a stash of Playboy magazines. He knew exactly what I was talking about and the Holy Spirit began convicting his heart. Her Dad said, “Since I was 16 years old, I’ve been reading Playboy magazines and I always have them stashed in the house under lock and key. I know what I have been doing is wrong and I want to change now.” He continued cleaning out the drawer until everything was thrown in the trash. When he finished throwing the last magazine away, the family begin to cry when they realized that he really was going to quit reading that type of material. Katie’s Dad got together with her Mother and they went online to cancel the subscription. My King delivered Katie’s dad from his addiction to pornography today. My King gets the Glory and the Victory.

I had breakfast with Blue Mustang on Saturday and I was telling him about Katie. When I mentioned that I was going to go to the bank and gets some money to bless her, he had me stop. He has been having a desire in his heart to go out and help somebody but he was never sure about who really needed help. But today he said, “Sonny don’t bother, this is my opportunity to bless somebody because God has blessed me so much.” He went ahead and reimburse me for the gas money that I spent on her and he gave me the money that I was going to give Katie today. When I handed Katie the money and told her who gave it to her, she said, “He does not even know me and yet he gave money to bless me. That is amazing.” This kind love made her cry because now she can get the things she needs. As Christians we have to make sure that we are real to people around us. We want to mimic Jesus Christ in our lives as much as possible by showing love for others. That includes helping other people out financially, if necessary. My King gets the Glory and the Victory and everything that is mine is his.

Tony Gets a New Life in Jesus

My King has given me a compassion for the homeless people. I always try to make sure that they have water in the park in the summer time. Lots of times, I’ll bring a case of cold water and set it on a table for them to drink. There is one special homeless guy, whose name is Tony, that I want to talk to you about. I first met Tony two years ago. We were at a park where I was witnessing to a gang. That gang beat me up bad. It was so bad that blood was coming out of my mouth. While the rest of the homeless people stayed away, he came up and tried to comfort me. I was laying on the ground and I could not get up. Tony tried to lift my head and support it with his hand. He grabbed one of the bottles of water that I brought with his other hand. He asked me to take a drink of some water so I would feel better. The minute I started drinking the water, the blood stopped coming out of my mouth. Suddenly, it all changed. It then became water flowing out of my mouth when my King started healing me. Tony was totally amazed at what he saw and when I got up like nothing happened. Tony knew that I was a witness to the gangs. He said, “I want to know the God that you know.” I prayed for Tony as he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. Tony’s street life came early in his life. His dad was an alcoholic and Tony became an alcoholic at an early age because he role modeled his dad. When he was in high school, all he wanted to do is party and get drunk. He would never do any work or get a job. His parents kicked him out on the street because he refused to work and was very disrespectful to them. After five years on the street, Tony became sober because he was too poor to buy liquor. We continue to see each other most every weekend.

Tony loves subway sandwiches. When I am in the area, I try to bring him one with something to drink. I would pray for him asking God to use him for his Kingdom. When the Covid shut down the churches, my King said, “Sonny, I want you to take church to the park. People have to be told about me.” At every Sunday service, he was usually there with the other homeless people. As I was sharing incredible things Jesus Christ does for us, Tony would confirm what I said to everyone, “God is real.” We have become good friends but he was still homeless. This was about to change.

Just last Saturday, Tony came up to me and said, “I really like your haircut. I would like one for myself.” Tony’s hair, if you could have seen it, was long and all matted and messed up and he had a long beard. I said, “I know where we can go to get you a haircut.” Tony did smell bad. It did not matter to me or my King who deodorizes my pickup. But I did have a clean shirt and deodorant to clean up for the barber. After changing his shirt, we headed off to my barber that gives me my haircut. When we got there, the owner who loves Jesus, asked, “Sonny, why are you here? Your hair still looks great.”

I said, ” I am here for my friend. I want to give my friend here a haircut like mine.”

The owner said, “Anybody who is friend to you is a friend of mine.” He’s motioned for Tony to sit down on the empty chair by the sink. He started washing his hair and began the process of getting Tony all cleaned up. It felt so good that Tony fell asleep in the chair. After he finished blow drying his long hair asked, “Are you sure you want me to cut this much hair off?”

Tony said, “Yes, I want my hair to look just like Sonny’s.” So he begin cutting all the excess hair off to make it look like my haircut. Next, he gave him a shave to finish cleaning him up. The owner handed Tony a mirror to get a close look of himself. Tony couldn’t believe what he saw. I haven’t seen myself in 10 years. That’s how long that Tony has been on the street. I asked the owner how much was going to cost but the owner said, “Anybody that comes in with you Sonny, there is no charge. You’re out there on the street witnessing to the gangs and bringing them to Jesus Christ. This is my way of saying how much I appreciate what you’re doing.” I appreciated that but was not expecting what happened next, the owner turns his head towards Tony and asked, “Tony do you wanted a job.” The Holy Spirit must have convinced the owner to give Tony a chance with a job.

Tony said, “Yes, it would be great to have work.”

The owner said, “I will pay you $695 a month to clean up the shop and the bathrooms. I also expect you to clean up around the shop’s yard and parking lot. You can have this job as long as you need it; but if you don’t show up, I will have to let you go.” Tony agreed to those conditions but the owner had more to offer Tony. He then said, “I have a place where you can stay. I’ll only charge you $100 a month. You need to be taking good care of the home and the yard around it as a condition for staying there ” We went about eight blocks away where are the small building next to the owners home we went inside and it was beautiful. The home had a washing machine, dryer, bed and everything that Tony would need.

I decided that Tony was ready for the next step. I took him to Walmart to get new clothes. He is now ready to face the world. I noticed that something was still bothering him. He looked at me and asked, “I wonder if it is a good idea to try to call my parents?”

I said, “You should call them.” I handed my phone to him and he called them. His Dad answered the phone. His Dad started to cry when he said who he was. His Mom came over to find out what was going on. She to started to cry also. Tony’s mother kept the landline just for Tony because that was the only phone number he knew. Tony then said, “Dad I have totally given my life to Jesus Christ. I would love to come home but I will only do so if you give up drinking.”

The Dad said, “Son, I gave up drinking soon after you left home. It tore my heart up the day I realized you may be gone forever.”

Tony said, “Let’s serve God’s Kingdom together as one.” His Dad thought that was a great idea. I then drove Tony back to his home. There was a big moment of hugging and crying as their family became united again. I prayed for everybody in their family that God would bless them. My King gets the Glory and the Victory. I just get to witness his greatness.

Birthday Turns Victorio to Jesus

My King wanted me to serve breakfast burritos to three gangs on Saturday. All of the gangs I have met before. Victorio’s gang, that I’ve written about before, has been visited for now close to 2 years. He wanted me to buy the ingredients and make the burritos homemade. Normally, I buy the food already made that I feed the gangs. This menu he gave me last week on Friday. He wanted me to talk to the undercover police about it because he knew that they would volunteer to make the breakfast burritos for me. I bought the ingredients midweek and delivered it to the women who volunteered to make them for me so that they could have them ready for me Saturday morning. The King knew I would be busy and having the menu a week in advance was a big help.

I began my trip to Denver and stopped at a Walmart store. I was walking through the food section getting drinks and cups. My King said, “Sonny, pick up a birthday cake.” That is all that he said. He didn’t tell me who it was for or what to put on it. As I was picking out a Birthday cake, Lisa called and said, “Hey Sonny, are you coming.” Lisa is Victorio’s number one girl. He asked Lisa’s parents if he could marry her. He got their blessing to do so.

I said, “Yes, I’m bringing you guys breakfast burritos. My King also said to pick up a birthday cake.” When Lisa heard this, she started to cry.

Lisa sobbed, “Today is Tony’s birthday. (He goes by Tony but his real name is Victorio.) I’ve been wanting to go and get him a Birthday cake. It is difficult to get away to pick one up because Victorio is always keeping an eye out on me. He does not want a rival gang to hurt me.”

I said, “I’ll get the cake and put his real name on it. What flavor of a cake does he like?”

Lisa said, “He likes a chocolate cakes with the pudding inside.” Lisa then said, “You are such a blessing to us Sonny.”

I said, “It’s our King that’s a blessing. Blue Mustang is also being obedient to our King to be part of this ministry to provide the food for you to eat.” I had the store put “Happy Birthday Victorio” on the cake before I paid for it. Now with everything I need in hand, I headed off to get the breakfast burritos.

I stopped at the place where the women made them for me. I thanked all the women for the homemade burritos. They in turn said they were blessed to do it. They also thanked Blue Mustang for buying everything and blessing the gangs. I went to the homes of two gangs to serve breakfast and pray for them. I waited going to Victorio’s gang last.

When I showed up for the first gang, they came out surprised and asked, “Sonny, what do you want?”

I said, “I brought you homemade breakfast burritos and I came to pray for you.” They were hungry. The gang grabbed the burritos to eat and headed back to the house. They were friendly towards me. I also went inside their home to blessed the food and pray with them. After I finished praying for them, they thanked me for the burritos and complimented me on how good they tasted. But they said that they were busy and they asked me to leave. I left immediately for the second gang. They too were suprised and asked me the same question and I gave them the same response. They looked really tired as though they had a long night. They took the burritos and said thank Blue Mustang for us. I then prayed with them. They too were anxious for me to leave so I headed off to Victorio’s home. I only spent about an hour serving both of these gangs. None of them gave their hearts to Jesus Christ but I planted more seed. I quickly left their home and headed off to Victorio’s home.

When I arrived and walked up to their home, they came out and stood on the front porch and started to eat the breakfast burritos I brought them. Victorio asked, “Who made the Burritos?”

I said, “My sisters and Blue Mustang who is a big part of this ministry. He bought everything so my sisters could make them. Victorio said, “Tell him thank you from all of us.” After we ate the breakfast burritos, I prayed with them and read Matthew 6:33 and John 3:16 to them. Victorio said, “Do you think that our King can forgive me of all my sins.”

I said, “Yes, first you have to ask for forgiveness of your sins. That’s when our King will forgive you. Then you must ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart.”

Victorio said, “Is it really that easy?”

I said, “Yes it is that easy.” Then Lisa looked at me and pointed to the pickup. I then said, “I have a surprise for you Victorio. Let me go and get it. As I was walking to the pickup, Victorio began following me. As I opened the door of the pickup, I said, “Victorio, you have to close your eyes. it’s a surprise that you will always remember.”

Victorio shouted, “Keep your on eyes on him. If this is a set up, you guys know what to do.” I lifted the cake out of my pickup and stood in front of Victorio. I said, “Open your eyes.” The second Victorio opened his eyes he almost began crying. To get his composure, Victorio started to walk away from everyone really fast. I took his cake inside the home and put it on the table. About 20 minutes later Victorio came back to the house. He said, “Sonny, can we talk privately.” We went outside to talk. Victorio then said, “The last time someone gave me a cake with my name on it was from my Mom and Dad. That was five years ago. This means so much to me Sonny.” He gave me knuckles.

I said, “Call your family and tell them there’s a party happing on your behalf.”

Victorio responded, “Will you pray for me before I call them?”

I said, “Yes, I would love to do that.” As I began praying for Victorio and his family, Victorio started to cry. He had his eyes closed while I was praying. When I was done praying, Victorio said, “I want my name written in the Lambs Book of Life, Sonny.” As soon as Victorio made this request, three cars pulled up. They all had tinted windows on them. I grabbed Victorio and put him behind me because if they were going to shoot, they would have to shoot me first. Wow! It just was his family. They wanted to surprise him on his birthday. Victorio ran to his Mom and Dad with tears in his eyes. His two brothers and his three sisters all hugged him. Victorio said, “I’m giving my heart to Jesus Christ. I’m done with this gang life. All the gang members stepped forward to give their hearts to Jesus Christ along with Victorio. My King gets all the Glory and the Victory.

The family members that came all cried and they thanked me for bringing the word of God to Victorio and his gang and never giving up on Victorio the past two years. Only four out of the twelve of his family that came today were Christians. I am praying that this will change. I get to meet the rest of his family next Saturday. Victorio asked me to help him move out of their home Sunday since they have gone back to their parents. They left their rental so clean that landlord gave their damage deposit back and put the house back on the rental market the same day.

Happy Meals Requested by the King

It was Friday night and my King said, “Sonny, I want you to leave for Denver now.” It was more than two hours earlier than I usually leave. I did what he asked and hit the road. I did not have time to make supper so I stopped at Chick-Fil-A. I purchased two chicken sandwiches and two lemonades. I was preparing for a long evening and I was going to eat the extra sandwich and lemonade later. I continue driving towards Denver. As I was nearing a McDonalds, my King said, “Sonny, stop by McDonalds and pick up three happy meals, three large fries and three large Cokes. I said to myself, “It looks like there is a family stranded with kids.” I was about to find out that I was wrong.

I continued heading towards Denver and noticed three girls walking alone along side of the road. They appeared to be crying. My King said, “They are the ones that the food is for.” I started breaking but I had enough speed that when I finally stopped I was slightly ahead of them. I climbed out of my pickup and introduced myself and said, “My King told me to pick up 3 happy meals, three large fries and three Cokes. He knew that you were hungry and needed help.” They were uncomfortable when a stranger pulled up in front of them like I did but when I told them what I brought for them to eat they knew that I really was from God. They had already been walking on the road 45 minutes and they began praying that God would send someone to help them. Two of the girls were Christians and when they realize I brought their favorite food from McDonalds it gave them peace. They looked at me and said, “That’s exactly what we order all the time at McDonalds. We weren’t sure what was going on when you pulled over. Before you came, we were crying out to God for somebody to come and get us.  We were really hungry and requested that person would bring us food also.” They then explained to me how they got here in the first place. One of the girls exclaimed, “We were with our boyfriends making out but they started doing inappropriate things to us. I demanded to be let out of the car. The rest of us were feeling uneasy also and wanted to leave with me. They just dumped us in the middle of nowhere. We were walking home because two of us forgot our phones and the one we did have had a dead battery.” When they began eating, they quit crying and became more joyful. They ate all the food I brought them plus they ate the other chicken sandwich and drank the lemonade I brought. The girls were famished. They were getting cold during their walk and I let them warm up in my pickup while they ate.

I made arrangements to call their parents. We were to meet on University near the hospital. While driving there, I talked to them about Jesus Christ. After we arrived, they went over to their parents and shared what just happened. One of the moms came over to me and said, “I am so glad you listened to what God said to you. I have my daughter now because of your obedience.” I told them I was not proud of what the boys did to their daughters. Even though the girls were probably going further than they should have, a man does not treat a lady like they did. I requested that the parents go and talk to each man that took the girls out. They did as I requested and the boys were severely grounded for what they did. The girls want nothing to do with them either.

The daughter that was not a Christian realized how much our King loved her by coming and getting her out of their predicament gave her heart to Jesus Christ. Two the dad’s rededicated their hearts to Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit told me that one of the dads had an addiction for alcohol. Then Lisa, the wife of that dad, asked me to pray for him. I did as she asked. I laid hands on him and asked the Holy Spirit to rebuke his addiction to alcohol. The dad was delivered from his drinking addiction this very same day. My King gets the Glory and the Victory. I just get to witness his awesome power.

God is totally amazing he gave me just enough time to complete this unexpected mission. I arrived to talk to the undercover cops at the time I normally get there. Only my King could do this.
