Families Delivered from Dumpster

It is Saturday morning and my King had me head to a King Soopers on the east side of Denver. When I arrived at the store, I headed to the parking lot like I normally do. But God said, “No, you need to go to the back of the store.”

That caught me off guard because of the habit of doing it the way he had always had me do it. I have learned that my King has sent me to many different places. This is no different. I drove around to the back of the store where the dumpsters were located. I noticed that there were two families in the back. One family with three kids worked on one dumpster. Another family with two kids worked on the other dumpster. It looked like one dumpster contained their old produce. The other dumpster contained the rest of the trash. They knew the schedule of the store and they were waiting for them to bring the outdated meat outside. As I continued to watch them work the dumpsters, God said, “Sonny, those are the families I want you to bless. Go get them.”

I just started crying because this was so sad to see what was happening here. I parked a short distance from them and I walked up to them with my Bible in one hand. When I got near them, they said, “Good morning.” They were somewhat embarrassed but I feel they encountered other people before so they are are starting to get used to this. I didn’t ask them how they were doing but I asked, “Are you guys hungry?”

They replied, “Yes, we’re waiting for them to throw stuff away so that way we can get some more groceries.”

I then said, “If somebody would come to you and tell you that someone gave them money to buy groceries, how would that make you feel?”

One wife replied, “That would be an answer to prayer. We are really hurting. My husband has been laid off because they closed his business down again because of Covid. People are panicking way too much. This is preventing him from going to work.”

She then pointed me to the other family and said, “They only moved here two weeks ago. He gets paid monthly not weekly so he has to wait a full 30 days to get a paycheck.”

I said, “Yikes! That sure does have to hurt.” I paused a Moment then said, “Let me tell you about Blue mustang and how God…”

Julie, her daughter interrupted and said “That’s a car!”

The little kids just don’t get it. I continued explaining to the family who Blue Mustang is and they exclaimed, “Wow! Does God really tell him to give money to families like us to buy groceries?” The 11 year old son chimed in and said, “He is like a Christian Santa Clause!”

I said, “Yes, God has given him a heart for his Kingdom.” It is now time to bless the families. I then said, “Everyone come by my pickup. I have some hand sanitizer in my pickup and I will get your hands all cleaned up.”

After messing in the dumpsters their hands were getting pretty dirty. I then prayed with them that God would bless them and encourage them. I finished up saying, “God never abandons us. You will never walk alone. God knows that you are hungry and he will always provide.”

Then Julie said, “Let us not forget about the Christian Santa Claus, Blue Mustang. Bless him and his family and do not let him get hungry like us.”

I began to cry. What she said just penetrated my heart. Both families were crying also. After I collected myself, I said, “Let’s get ready to go inside.”

Before they went back to their vehicles, God said, “Sonny, it is now time to give them their money.”

I was thinking about giving the money to them in the store. But God said, “Give it to them now! What are you waiting for!”

I handed each family $140. They said, “Man, that is a lot of money.” They were so grateful for what they received. Julie looked at her Dad and said, “Remember Dad, Mom said that it is a blessing.”

Her Dad said, “Yes, you are right. It is a blessing.”

Both families hugged me again and they moved their vehicles to the front of the store. I was getting ready to leave and let them do their own shopping when the kids all asked me to go shopping with them. I acknowledged to them that I would love to go shopping with them. We all walked into the store together and each family grabbed a cart. Both families were careful with what they bought. They were only getting the things that they needed.

The manager then comes up. I had no idea who he was. He asked, “I see that you guys are doing some shopping.” As he said that, I could see tears coming down his eyes.

I then asked him how he was doing and of course he said he was doing okay. He paused for a minute as he continued looking at me. He then said, “I listened to everything you said outside. I heard every word that you said. I also listened to every word that the children said. I have seen these families here three times this week. I have actually put red tags on good meat just to help them out. I knew that they were hungry. God brought conviction to my heart when I heard what they were saying and what you said about Blue Mustang.”

Julie then stepped in and said, “He is not a car. He is a real person.”

The manager then asked the families if they had a place to live and they confirmed that they did. He then said, “Continue to enjoy your shopping. My wife is coming in about 20 minutes to meet you. Don’t worry about what it’s going to cost. You both get what you want and what you need.”

The kids exclaimed, “Does that mean that we can get cookies and ice cream? Maybe we can even get cereal.” For kids all this stuff is huge.

The manager then reiterated what he said before, “Just get what you want and get what you need. I will meet you up front when you are ready to check out.”

I wanted to pray with the manager and Julie said, “Let’s hold hands.”

We all got in a circle and began praying with all the people shopping around us in the store. We just did not care what other people might have thought. Julie said, “You know this is just like celebrating Christmas. Everyone is giving gifts to us. This is just so awesome.”

The parents were becoming emotional with the scope of miracles that were occurring. Two employees also came up with some extra gift cards. They had one for each family. They too, overheard everything that I said.

It was interesting how God orchestrated all this. At the appointed time that I arrived to talk to the families, the manager was getting ready to take something outside. That is when he heard me talking to the families. He just stood there with the door cracked listening to everything. At the same time the employees were curious what the manager was up to and they started moving towards him. They too started listening. Almost every employee in the back of the store was listening to what was going on outside.

The manager was flabbergasted when the employees did that. Most of them were young and mostly high school age. To sacrifice that money that they make for these families was totally amazing. Most young people want everything that they make for themselves. The manager then said, “May God bless you guys for what you’ve done.”

The kids went back and they brought two more grocery carts. The kids said, “We want you to fill these two carts up too. We will pay for these also.”

In the meantime the manager’s wife showed up. And she said that she wanted to pray for the families. She then paid for all the carts of the families. One cart was a little over $300 and the other was just a little less than $300. Next, more of the younger employees all started showing up. They all pitched in and said, “We just got you some more gift cards. This is just in case you need gas.”

That ended up being another $150 in gift cards for each family. The manager then looked at the families and said, “Do not ever go back there again! You come and look for me.” At that moment he handed them his business cards. He then said, “You always call and make sure that I’m here. I want to make sure that you never have to go back there again.”

By now both families are crying at such a wonderful miracle they received from God. Julie asked, “Does that mean that we do not have to eat from the trash can anymore?”

When she brought that up, I lost it again as I began thinking about her rummaging through the dumpster. She then said, “We are celebrating Christmas in October. It is so awesome.” She then looked at her Dad and said, “I remember you telling me that we should always pray and thank God for our blessings. I know that we have thanked these people but we have not thanked our God. I understand that God sent these people to us.”

I was amazed how well Julie spoke of spiritual things. I asked her how old she was. She said, “I am seven years old. Can’t you tell!”

I said, “You sure know a lot about God.

Julie then said, “I learned it all from my Mom and Dad. I learned more from my Dad because my Mom is shy when she prays in front of other people.”

Her Mom verified that Julie was correct. She then said, “Not anymore. Let us thank God right now.”

The mom started praying thanking God for everything. She prayed boldly to our King.

It was so cool seeing each family taking two carts of food to each one of their vans. You know what is amazing about all this is when God told me to go to the back of the store, it started a chain reaction of events. As I was telling the families about how God sent me here, the manager happened to be coming outside. He heard the message that God sent me to the families. That in turn as he was listening, the employees began wondering what he was doing. They moved in closer until they heard what was going on. That inspired them to bless the families with gift cards. So the lesson learned is to be obedient to God. He knows how to bring a plan together to orchestrate a bigger blessing. I know, I see my King do this for his families all the time. I can only deliver his blessing. It is his and he gets the Glory and Victory.

Dual Van Miracle

It was a beautiful Saturday morning when I ate breakfast with Blue Mustang. He said, “I know God has a couple of families out there that need to be blessed today.”

Blue Mustang gave me $280 to do that. Our King loves that number of $140 per family. He always multiplies it when this amount is given. I headed down to the King Soopers where God usually sends me. When I arrived at the store parking lot, God said, “Sonny, look behind you.”

I looked into my rearview mirror and saw a van that stopped behind me. I saw what looked like two families getting out of the van. They were packed in the van like sardines. Both families had a total of six kids. They lined up in a row and were all facing east as though they were about to pray to God. I got out of my pickup and stood by my back bumper. I could hear the men praying. One man said, “God, you brought us here and we came in obedience. We only have $28.15 left. You brought us here to expect a miracle. We are going to wait here as long as it takes for this miracle to happen.”

They had brought snacks to wait for the miracle. I discovered they could only afford saltine crackers and peanut butter to snack on. This is definitely not my way of having a snack. But they were prepared as best they could. I continued listening to the families pray. One of the children prayed, “We are expecting a miracle because I would love to have some cereal.”

This kind of prayer makes you appreciate what God gives you. I have cereal all the time. Many times I am in a hurry and don’t have time to make breakfast. I just eat a bowl of cereal to solve this problem. One of the girls then prayed, “God, I am sure missing French toast. I want to have it with butter and syrup.”

The last person to pray was a girl. She prayed, “God, I want you to bless that person who is going to bless us today 100-fold for their obedience in doing this for us.” What a grateful heart this girl had in asking God to bless someone who still has not given any money at all.

I continued to stand there until they were all done praying. God told me to wait just a little longer before I went over to talk to them. I continued listening to what they were saying. One of their little girls ask for a cracker and peanut butter because she was getting hungry. They did not have the time or the resources to even make breakfast. I began to cry when I realized that was all she had to eat. I began thinking about all of them getting out of the one van. I prayed, “God, they only have one van. They need to have another vehicle.”

I discovered the bank had reposed one family’s van. They were forced to ride together in this one van. Julie, one of the little girls said, “How long do we have to wait for this miracle?”

Tony, her nine-year-old sibling gave her the analogy about the Red Sea and said, “God could have easily opened the Red Sea before they got there, but he wanted to show his people how powerful he was. So he waited till everyone was there before it happened.” Tony paused a second then said, ” If we have to wait here all day, we are going to be patient with God. He promised that there would be a miracle and he will keep his promise.” This is a profound analogy from a 9 year old.

They decided they could be waiting awhile. They had some games in the van and they started setting them up and playing them while they were waiting for the promises of God. God said, “Sonny, it is time to go over and talk to them.”

I moved in a little closer. I then said, “So, you guys are here waiting for a miracle? Apparently you know God because I heard your cries for help. I want to tell you about Blue Mustang.”

Julie asked, “Is that a car?”

I said, “Yes that is a car, but let me tell you about Blue Mustang. God has used him in this ministry to blessed families like you that are hungry and need food. This is what he gave me to give you so that you can go buy groceries. He has warned me it is to be used for groceries only. No smokes or liquor or the blessing will stop. This money is from God but he has blessed Blue Mustang so that he can give it to you.”

Julie came up and grabbed my hand and said, “I like you. You know God.”

So here I was holding her left hand and I had my Bible in my right hand. She then said, “We have room in our van. You can sit on the floor with me. Then we can go shopping.”

Up to this point, I have not even told them how much money I have. But it didn’t matter to her. She was ready to go shopping. I told both the wives to hold their hands out. God just revealed to me that both of these women are true prayer warriors. The husband’s do pray and they have faith, but these women are amazing. God described their prayer life to me. I then laid the money on each of their hands. They said, “We don’t know when we can ever pay you back.”

I said, “No, this is a gift from God.”

Both wives replied, “This is the miracle we’ve been waiting for all morning.”

All this happened in 45 minutes. Waiting on a miracle can make it appear longer. Just remember God is never early and many times may respond at the last minute. But he is never late. Both wives said, “We know what we need and we are now able to get it.”

Julie asked, “Do you want to go shopping with us?”

I acknowledged to her that I would love to. Before we did anything, I prayed over both families. I did all this while Julie continue to hold my hand. We then began to head to the store to go shopping. But before we got to the entrance, two vans pull up like they were trying to cut us off as we walked on the sidewalk. An old gentleman, Noah, got out of one van and an old lady, Lisa, got out of the other van. Noah asked, “I saw all you guys get out of that one van. We counted more people getting out than there are seats. Some of you must not even have a seat to sit in.”

Julie said, “That’s me. I sit on the floor.” She then continued on and said, “The bank they are the bad guys. They took our van away from us. Now we have to ride with them.”

Lisa said, “Really! God just told us that we don’t need two vans. He had us come here. He said there is a family here that needs a van. He said that we had to get over here right away. It is filled with gas and now here we are. My husband pointed you guys out and said that’s the family.”

Julie exclaimed, “So you are giving us a van! Boy, these miracles are just coming from everywhere!”

She then told Noah that Blue Mustang gave us money to go buy groceries. The man then said, “I tell you what! I will match everything that he has given you so that you can not only get the things you need, but you can get the things that you want. How much money do you have now?”

They said, “Blue Mustang gave us $140 each.”

Lisa pulled out some money she had on her. She said, “I tell you what! I am going to give you each $200. Now you guys can really go out and get some groceries. That $140 will get you everything that you need but once in a while our tummies want Oreo cookies for dessert. We all know that is something that we don’t need but it is definitely something that we want. We want you to do likewise and get those things that you desire.” Lisa paused for a moment then asked, “Which van do you guys want? We have a Blue one and a red one.”

The family hesitated a bit and said, “Why don’t you take the one you want and we’ll take the one that you don’t want.”

Noah said, “No, it is not about what we want. It is about what you want. My mom passed away and she left this other van. We do not need two vans.”

It was a tough decision for the family to choose. Both of them were 2019s and they were pretty well identical in looks. Both were well taken care of. Noah said, “We tried to give one of them to our grandkids but they said we definitely do not want one of those vans.”

Martha, the wife said, “I would like to have the red one.”

Noah said, “It is yours.” He then pulled the title out and signed it over to the family. He then told Martha that it has insurance for six months and the tags are not due until next year. That family began crying after receiving such a wonderful miracle. Julie said, “Man, I cannot wait to sit down in one of those seats. That will be so much more comfortable than sitting on the floor.”

After a few moments of the family checking out the van, Noah and Lisa said, “Let’s go shopping. We want to go shopping with you.”

It was fun to watch Noah and Lisa in action. They got a cart of their own. When the parents would put an item back or the kids could not get something extra, Noah would put it in his cart. The parents did not want to abuse their blessing and many times said no. So the old couple faked it and said, “man this would be nice to have and they would put it in their cart.”

Noah asked the family if they had a freezer in their garage. The family responded that they have one but it’s almost entirely empty. They keep a few frivolous items for emergencies. Noah then stealthily took his cart towards the meat department. He then came back with hamburger, hot dogs and other meat items for their freezer. It was now time to go to the checkout line.

Julie said, “This is the most groceries I’ve ever seen in our cart ever.” She continued to eye over the vast quantity of food in the cart. She then said, “Mom we forgot peanut butter.”

Her mom said, “No, we got plenty of peanut butter.”

Julie responded, “Not the peanut butter with the peanuts in it. We need some of that.” So Julie ran to go pick up a jar of the crunchy peanut butter.

After they checked out and paid for their groceries. Noah then paid for his cart and said, “Here these are for you.”

Now the families were really feeling blessed. When they got outside, Noah asked the family that drove the van here if their van was paid off. They confirmed that it was. Noah then said, “Why don’t we transfer all the stuff out of your van into the Blue van. We will keep this one.”

If you could have seen the other van. It was old, dilapidated, and needed new tires. Noah was blessing the family with something much better. The family looked him in the eye and exclaimed, “Are you serious?”

Noah said, “God brought us here to give both of these vans away. The reason why we didn’t say anything earlier was because we wanted to see how you would react with us giving the van to the other family. Your heart was in God’s Kingdom. You passed the test and we want you two to have this other van.”

Noah signed the title over to the other family. The family then said, “We’re sorry that our van is such a mess. We want to clean it up before you take possession of it”

Noah said, “This van is not for us.”

Soon a white Cadillac showed up. A teenage boy was driving the car. He parked pretty close to us. Noah explained, “This is our grandson driving this Cadillac. I told him that all this would be done with about 11:30 a.m.”

Noah’s wife said, “We need to wait for the other family that is coming.”

Julie said, “What do you mean by another family.”

Noah’s wife said, “Your van is going to be given to another family that needs a van.”

Shortly, a Hispanic family came driving up by us. The boy driving the car dropped his family off and asked how long it would take. He wanted to go get coffee and bring some back to his family. We then heard the family that got out of the vehicle telling the driver how much they appreciated what he’s been doing to get them places. They said, “One of these days we are going to have our own vehicle and you won’t have to do this for us.”

That kid was definitely a trooper and reminded them that we are family and I do not mind taking care of you. This was Noah’s opportunity. He went up to the family and asked, “What would you say if somebody would give you a van? Would you take it?”

The husband said, “Yes, we would take it.”

Noah said, “Well then, this van is yours.”

The husband then said, “No way! You have got to be kidding me. Is this a joke or something?”

Noah said, “No, it is a blessing.” Noah then signed the title over to this family. This family also began crying when they begin to realize that they now have the ability to go places on their own.

It all started with Blue Mustang blessing two families. From there, the two families got additional groceries plus two almost new vans. The blessing was so powerful that the van they had was given to a third family who was also blessed. I love the way our King talks to people. Noah knew he was not going to be taking anything home because he knew God’s plan. His grandson coming to pick him up at just the right time shows us Noah was listening to God. Next week more families will be praying for a miracle. I cannot wait until my King sends me to them. God gets the Glory and the Victory as he reveals himself to those who ask him for help.

Miracle At The Stone Cross

It was Saturday morning and I just finished meeting with Blue Mustang for breakfast. I was heading towards Denver to bless families with the money he had given me. I was about ready to take the exit to the King Soopers that I usually go to but God said, “Sonny, keep going straight.” I continued heading southbound on I-25 and had no idea where God was going to take me.

I noticed a beautiful stone church on the right hand side of the road. You could really see the stone cross. At that moment God said, “You need to go to that church. I exited off the interstate to get there. In my mind, I was thinking, “Why do I need to go to church on a Saturday? People who are hungry are at the grocery stores?”

Before I finished my thought, God said, “There are two families there that are praying right now.”

I found out later that the wives were sisters. As I approached the church, I could see two families all lined up facing towards the big cross on the church. All of them are on their knees praying to God under the cross. As I moved closer, I shut down my music and idled my pickup down as I began to park. I carefully closed my pickup door so I would not disturb their praying.

I began to think about what they might be praying for. If they were hungry, they should be praying at a store. There’s no place to get food at a church. God then said, “Sonny, you do not understand. They do need food. The reason why the families came here to the church to pray was because they have nothing. They cannot buy food by any means that would honor me. They came to church to pray for a miracle.”

The entire family prayed. Each one said their own prayer including the kids. In one of the prayers, they said, “God, please let the money rain down on us so that we can buy groceries.”

The next one modified that prayer. The little girl said, “Let the money hit us on the head so that we can go buy groceries because I am hungry.”

The little boy said, “I want everything that my sister said but I sure would like some ice cream.”

Others were praying for ability to buy bologna just so they could make a sandwich. Another one of the kids was praying that they could just have a Snickers bar. I could tell they haven’t had a lot of these things in a while. I was within 17 feet of them as they prayed all of this.

After they finished praying, they stood up and I was right behind them. They looked at me and asked, “When did you get here?”

I said, “I have been here for a while. I have been listening to you while you’ve been praying. You have beautiful prayers. Just remember that God does answer prayers.” I paused for a moment then I said, “Let me tell you about Blue Mustang. God is using him to bless people with money so they can go buy groceries. I usually go to King Soopers but God said “not today.” He wanted me to stop here at this church where you were praying. When I came to you guys, you are already praying. I am proof that he answered your prayers. That is why I am here.”

The families asked, “Is Blue Mustang a person or a car?”

I said, “He is both. He is a person who drives a Mustang. The Latinos gave him that nickname.”

They were not sure what I meant by the Latinos. I then shared with them who they are. They were dumbfounded and said, “Wow!”

One of the wives said, “Blue Mustang is a Christian man who has a heart for God to help families like us.”

I said, “Yeah, that is correct.”

She then said, “Even if it is only $5 we are blessed to receive that.”

They were appreciative of whatever someone could give them. When I gave the money to them they were next to speechless. They just said, “Whoa!” The little girl then asked, “Does that mean that we can go and buy cereal and ice cream?”

Her mom confirmed that can happen. She then said, “We need to pray for Blue Mustang.”

The little girl then held her hand out towards me to get ready to pray. We all held hands and each one of them began saying a prayer. One of the wives, whose name was Martha, was gifted in prayer. Her prayer was powerful. When it came to the little girl, she started praying, “Thank you for Blue Mustang, thank you for his car and thank you that he walks barefoot.”

At that moment, the little girl kicked her shoes off into the center of the circle. Whenever I mention that he goes barefoot, many people are starting to take their shoes off. As we finished praying, all of the sudden a white Cadillac appears. A black couple steps out of the car. They must have gone to church here because they asked how we were doing and if we were here to do church clean up today. He said, “You guys do not look familiar to me. Do you go to church here?”

One of the husbands said, “No, we saw the cross and we decided to stop here to pray for a miracle. God brought this man to us to give us money so that we could buy groceries.”

They then shared that Blue Mustang gave me the money to give to them. The Cadillac driver humbly said, “So you guys do not have any groceries at all.”

The families said, “No, we are completely without. But God has changed all that.”

The kids started telling them all the things that they were craving and wanting to get. The wife of the Cadillac driver said, “I carry an envelope in the glove compartment of the car to bless families.”

This lady did not know how much money I gave to each couple. On the envelope it was written “$280 for families in need”. She said, “I always have $280 in the envelope just to bless families each month.” This is the third time that this has happened to me. God really likes the number $140 for families.

She then split her money up and gave $140 to each family just like I did. Martha revealed to her that Sonny has just given us $140 each. The wife said, “Wow! What does that mean? Because we both gave the same dollar amount.” She was running things through her mind trying to figure this out. She then said, “I am going to try to figure this out what this number signifies.”

The Cadillac family then prayed for Blue Mustang, then they prayed for me and the families. It is interesting that when we are obedient to God, how God always seems to multiply the money.

Martha then said, ” I need to meet with my sister and we need to start making a list of what we need to buy in the store.”

They went to the cross that day and they dropped everything there because they were out of options. They had to rely on God 100%. They had no idea how it would come about. And now because of surrendering it all to God, they are now making a list to buy groceries.

The Cadillac couple invited the families to come to the King Soopers store near this church at 1 p.m. I was also invited to go shopping with them. Even though it was several hours away, I went ahead and had breakfast with a gang and talk about Jesus Christ with them. Nine of them gave their hearts to Jesus Christ today. What was interesting, the gang continued to listen to what I had to say. But when it became time for me to go to the store at 1 p.m., they just left. I was now free to go shopping with the families.

The Cadillac couple brought their brothers and sisters along at 1 p.m. to go shopping. They also drove white Cadillacs. I introduced myself and Blue Mustang to them. The Cadillac families wanted to know more about Blue Mustang. They were curious how God would just pull somebody out like that. I said, “No, it was not random. He was chose to bless people. He was also chosen to bless the gangs with food. Some friends of mine do all the cooking for me. They too are blessing to God’s Ministry.”

When I told them that he goes barefoot. They all took their shoes off and said, “Let’s go barefoot into the store.” The little girl said, “Yes” and threw her shoes into the van. They all made the trek barefoot into the store. The Cadillac families gave three carts to each family to fill. They said, “This gives Glory to God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Buy the things that you need and get some of the things that you want.”

As we started shopping, people began staring at us. We could not figure out why unless it was because we were all barefoot.

I talked to the little girl and ask her if she bought any ice cream or candy. She answered, “Yes, I bought a little but we needed to make sure we had hamburger, romaine noodles and other things to make meals with. Both families had all three of their carts full. They even had the bottom rack packed with groceries. Both of their husbands were Dr. Pepper lovers. But due to their circumstances, they have not been able to drink one for a long time. They stocked up getting 1 case of Dr. Pepper each. They both promised not to drink more than one can a day. Both families had enough groceries to last a month.

When they were ready to pay, the manager came over and got both families set up with King Sooper cards so they could get credit for all the groceries they bought. He then told the families “I am here at the store Monday through Friday and anytime you want to talk to me you just give me a call.”

There has to be something with King Soopers and God. It seems like their employees are more apt to bless other people. I just don’t notice it as much at other stores. I do know that God does like that word “King” on front of the name because he is definitely the best King one could have.

After the families loaded all their groceries into their vehicles, they surrounded the Cadillac families and prayed over them. Jerome, one of the Cadillac owners, said, “We are blessed so that we can bless other people. Just as Jesus came to serve so are we to serve.”

When we are representing Jesus Christ, we are commanded to go out there and “just do it”.

I started laughing. They asked me what was so funny. I started talking about the boys in the Bronx and how they read the stories on the website. They really like God’s answer when I question him and he says “just do it”. I told them about my last phone call I had with them. They said, “Sonny, when God told you to just do it, it sounds so powerful, we are starting to say “just do it” when we allow God to bless a family. When we were getting ready to pay, we started laughing because a young girl had a “just do it” t-shirt on.”

The Cadillac families started laughing also. They then said, “We want to get some of those shirts too.”

Jerome then said, “No we are going to make our own t-shirts. Ours are going to say ‘just do it in the name of Jesus’.”

God has revealed to me that there will always be gangs and families in need. Blue Mustang and I are blessed to be able to serve both situations. Again, God gets the Glory and the Victory. I just get to see it.

God Changes Things Up Just Because He Can

It was Saturday morning and I finished breakfast with Blue Mustang. Out of habit, I went to the King Soopers I usually go to assuming the families would be there. I never really took time to even ask God if that’s where he wanted me to go. I parked and I sat there for 5 minutes when God asked, “Did I tell you to come here?”

I sheepishly said, “No.”

God then said, “I want you to start heading south on I-25.”

As I was driving for a while, God told me to take the next exit. By the time I got there I was pretty well on the south and east side of Denver. As I was driving through the parking lot of that King Soopers, God suddenly said, “Stop!”

It seemed like there was nothing going on here, it was pretty dead. It didn’t take long though and people began arriving to go shopping. As I continued to observe my surroundings, God said, “Sonny, look to your left and you will see a U-Haul truck.”

I saw the truck and a van. I noticed a husband and wife standing in front of the van. The kids must have been still sleeping in the van because it looked like they had been traveling all night. They just looked beat. God said, “This family needs money to finish their trip.”

I started questioning God again and said, “This money is for groceries.”

And God said, “Yes, it will be used for groceries. But it is also for gas.”

I grabbed my Bible before I headed over to talk to them. I have discovered that the word of God brings peace to the people I talk to. When they see the Word and what I wear on my t-shirts, they assume that I’m a minister of some kind. I walked up to them and said, “How can I pray for you guys?”

They then shared, “We are traveling to Michigan but are going through Kansas first to see some family. We have a long way to go just to get to Kansas. From there on our family will help us get to Michigan. Right now, we are tapped out and are trying to figure out how we can put gas in our van and truck to get to Kansas. We would even like to get some lunch meat and bread to make some sandwiches during the trip there.”

I said, “Well, let me tell you about Blue Mustang. God uses him in this ministry. He gives me money to give to families. He wants to bless families with groceries or even gas if it’s necessary.”

God likes to bring me to King Soopers stores because he likes the word “King”. It has nothing to do with the store but he definitely is an amazing King. About this time they began crying as I handed them the money. The family said, “This is going to help so much.”

Again, I had the money sorted out into $140 envelopes. But God said, “Give them both envelopes.”

I began to question God again and said, “I know there’s two families that you want to bless today.”

God said, “Sonny, just do it!”

I then handed the second envelope to them. I did not realize but there was a couple drinking their Starbucks Coffee sitting directly behind me with their windows rolled down listening to what was going on.

The family then questioned me and said, “You always give to two families but we are only one.”

I said, “It doesn’t matter. God said for me to give it all to you guys.”

They even cried more as I handed them the additional money. They said, “Man, we are now able to buy some gas. Then, we are going to go into the store and get some groceries for our trip to Kansas. Wow!”

They drove off towards the gas pumps. After they were gone, the Starbucks couple got out of their car and came over to my pickup. They said, “We were listening to everything that was going on. What you just did was so beautiful!”

They then pulled out $140 and gave it to me and said, “This is the $140 for the next family that you are going to provide for.”

This couple wanted to make sure that another family did not miss out on the blessing that they were going to get. They then said, “If you are that obedient to God, we are going to trust you with this money to bless another family.”

Meanwhile, the traveling husband was filling the U-Haul truck and van with gas while his wife was shopping for groceries in the store. The Starbucks couple that gave me the $140 went over to the pumps and paid for the husband’s gas with his credit card. The Starbucks couple came back and prayed for me. I was still holding my Bible in my hand as they prayed for me. Another family pulled up right next to us. They said, “We saw you with a Bible and praying with this couple. Could you pray for us also? We could use some food.”

Then I realized, while I was fighting God, here the second family showed up. See how awesome our God is. He can turn anything around so that the families he wanted to bless got blessed. God knew the couple drinking coffee was going to provide me with $140. He held the second family back until I received it. Then in his timing, brought the second family to me.

I prayed with that second couple. Then I shared with them how Blue Mustang has a heart for families and handed them the $140. They too began to cry as they saw the miracle.

Their little girl asked, “Does that mean we get to buy cereal this time?” She then looked at me and asked, “Mister, what’s your favorite cereal?”

I said, “Captain Crunch.”

She said, “Yeah, I love Captain Crunch. I even like to put it on my ice cream.”

I said, “You even put it on your ice cream.”

The little girl sighed, “Yeah, it is so delicious.”

The second family thanked me over and over again for blessing them. I made sure they knew it was entirely God who brought me here to them. They then asked, “Can we pray for you?”

I acknowledge that I would like that. The parents prayed for me. Their 7 year old daughter began praying for Blue Mustang first then me. I then tried to explain to her more about Blue mustang and what he does. She then asked, “Is he a car like one of those hot rods?”

I said, “Yes, it’s a Blue one and it is a hot rod.”

She said, “That is so cool. I just never knew that cars could talk.”

I laughed and said, “No, it is a man who has a Blue Mustang. The Latino gang, that I have been witnessing to, gave him that nickname.”

I noticed that the little girl was barefoot. I then said, “Blue Mustang is just like you. He doesn’t wear shoes either.”

The little girl exclaimed, “Thank God there is another person who is just like me!”

The mom rolled her eyes and said, “Don’t encourage her. I’m always having to tell her to put her shoes on.”

After I explained more about Blue Mustang to her she then said, “That makes sense. I’m going to start not wearing my shoes also.”

The woman’s husband looked at her and said, “Don’t get any ideas about doing that.”

She then replied, “If I feel like going barefoot, I am going to take my shoes off. I don’t care.”

After the husband of the Starbucks couple put gas in the first family’s car, he came back and noticed that I had been praying for another family. I explained to him that the money he gave me had been used to bless this family because they needed groceries. Then the husband said, “Oh yeah, do you need gas?”

They replied, “Yeah, we are also running low on gas.”

He then said, “Let’s take a trip to the gas pumpsso I can fill your vehicle with gas.”

He led that family to the pumps to fill their car with gas. The lady who was working the pumps watched him topping off all these different vehicles with gas and said, “You know, my vehicle’s pretty low on gas also. Do you want to fill mine up?”

He replied, “Yeah, just bring it over.”

She said, “I’m just kidding!” She paused a moment then said, “You know what you have done here today has restored my faith in people. I am so used to people just doing things for themselves. This is so refreshing to see what you are doing. We should be givers and not takers.”

He then said, “Jesus Christ came to serve, not to be served.” He then paid for the gas.

They were a lot of blessings given this morning. It was now time to go and get the burritos to witness to the gangs. They had just called me asking where I was at because it was unusual for me to be this late. With God, I am never late. As I was about to leave, the Starbucks couple ask me how the gas was doing in my pickup. I said, “It’s half full.”

The husband said, “That is not acceptable! Take your pickup over to the pumps and let me fill it up!”

His wife then looked over at him and said, “This is so fun that you are doing this. You hardly ever do stuff like this.”

I then said to the husband, “There’s probably another family that needs to be blessed.”

The husband then looked intently at me and said, “You are blessing families, witnessing to gangs all over the world, driving everywhere to save girls, so, let’s get over to those pumps and get you filled up!” The husband still looking at me intently said, “God gets the Victory and the Glory! Sonny just remember that.”

As he began filling my pickup, the lady said to us, “Is this ever going to stop?”

The husband said, “Only when God tells me to stop.”

Are We Crazy?

It is Saturday morning and I am sitting at the King Soopers on 144th Avenue in Denver. I was impatiently waiting and said, “Lord, you brought me here but I don’t see anybody.”

God said, “Sonny just wait.”

I was getting impatient because I was running a little bit behind schedule in picking up the burritos for the gang I was going to witness to. But as you know, God even had a plan for that. I laid back in my pickup, turned the worship music on. I was just starting to relax when I  looked in my rearview mirror. I noticed that a van just parked right behind my pickup. This is a big parking lot and there were parking spots everywhere so I wondered what was going on. They had me completely boxed in because the sidewalk was in front of me and they were directly behind me. As I continued observing in my rearview mirror, I saw the guy get out on the one side and his wife out on the other. The sliding doors opened up on the van and I saw another family get out. I then got out of my pickup and I asked, “How can I help you?”

The man said, “I hope you don’t think that we are crazy.”

I said, “No, I have seen a lot stranger things than this. How can I pray for you?”

The man said, “You are going to think we’re crazy but we have been praying and fasting all week. I got up this morning and prayed again. I then had my wife pray for today. She told me that God showed her that there would be a red Dodge 4-door pickup here. She also said I need to go to the pickup because the driver will have a blessing for us. You are the only red Dodge 4-door pickup in the parking lot. That is the reason why we stopped behind you so that you would not leave. We wanted to ask you the question Are you the one that is going to be bringing us the blessing? If so, we sure could use it.”

So here were two husbands and two wives. The kids were still sitting in the van. Since neither of the families had ever done anything like this before, they tried envisioning how they appeared to me. They repeated, “You probably think that we are crazy.”

I said, “Not at all. Let me tell you about Blue Mustang.”

One of the wives asked, “Is that a character?”

I smiled and thought to myself, it depends what you mean by character. But instead I said, “No, he is a man of God.”

She then asked, “What’s so special about him?”

I responded, “He gives me money on Saturday morning to bless families that are struggling buying groceries.”

I immediately handed $140 to each family to go buy food. I then said, “Do I think you are crazy! No! Was it just coincidence that I was the only Dodge in the parking lot. No! Do you think it was crazy that God told you it was going to be red. No! He even brought you directly to my pickup because this is a large parking lot. You obeyed him by coming here and listening to him. You could have said that God is crazy. Just because you listened, God has blessed you but if you would have blown him off, you would have totally missed the blessing for today. God would have then told me to go somewhere else to bless another family. There are many King Soopers in this town but God directed me to this one.”

She then said, “I am very glad that you listened to God because we were thinking that you would think that we were crazy.”

They were Christians and they were crying as I finished handing them the money. They were desperate and God provided. I am glad that I did not abandon ship and get the burritos that were waiting for me to take to the gangs. I would have missed this opportunity to bless both families today. It is interesting that when we do what God tells us to do, the people that we are coming into contact with are watching what we do and how we handle it. When we do exactly what God asks, their faith builds because they have seen God do miracles. My King also had me wait 20 minutes. That also builds my patience and God lets me know that even if I appear to be running behind schedule, He can cause anything to follow his plan.

The kids then came out of the van and they asked me to go grocery shopping with them. I said, “Yes, I can do that.”

In my mind I was thinking that I really needed to get going. That is when God put his foot down and said, “Sonny, just stop the fretting! This moment has been set by my Kingdom for you to be here at this time right now. Remember, I stopped time for Joshua when I held the sun in position. I am just as powerful today as I was back then. I can rewind time or do whatever I want just because I am the true God.”

As I felt embarrassed about questioning God, I understood and relaxed going into the store with the families. The manager smiled at me and said, “It looks like God’s working a miracle again.”

He then turned around and walked away. He then came back with two envelopes. There was a $150 gift card in each envelope. That was $300 the manager put out for these two families. He knew that, if they were with me, that they were hurting. If I would not have gone shopping with the families, the store manager might not have noticed these families and they would have missed out on the blessing that God had for them.

The families said, “We are only going to get what we need. We are going to save these gift cards for later.” I gave them my ministry cards and prayed with them. We parted ways but these families lives were transformed today. They will remember what God did today.

We need to seek people with God’s eyes. He will open our eyes to people in need. God does reward you for blessing people. But it will be in his time. Just remember this; you can never out give God. If your heart is in it, you will be blessed by him. That is a promise that he gives in Malachi 3:10. Always remember this; everything is his already and we are his stewards. If you do not believe this, watch what happens when someone dies; everything we treasured is left here on earth where it is given to someone else. God already has families planned for next week. I cannot wait!

Just Do It!

Marciano, a gang leader from the Bronx in New York called me this week to talk to me. I met this gang five years ago. They were one of the meanest and toughest gangs in the Bronx. All the other gangs feared and had respect for these guys. The reason God had me visit New York was because he had prepared their hearts and wanted me to bring the love of Jesus Christ to them. When I first met them there were 27 people in their gang. Now they are Christians and 22 have remained. All their families are still living in the same neighborhood in the Bronx, so it was easy for them to stay together as a gang. They now witness as a gang to gangs in New York. Because they are a gang, it is easier for these guys to relate to the gangs they witness to. They even have the markings of a gang in their tattoos. Because of their fierce reputation, the other gangs have respect for Marciano’s gang

Marciano went to King Soopers last Saturday with the entire gang. They were going to buy food for the gang that they were going to witness to that day. When they got in th check out line, they noticed a family behind them with just a few items in their cart. It appeared as they were going on a picnic but Marciano wanted to make sure.. Marciano asked, “How is your day going?”

The family softly said, “Pretty well.”

Marciano asked, “Are you going to have a picnic today?”

The couple said, “No, this is all that we can afford. These are our groceries for the week.”

Marciano was not surprised and said, “Those are your groceries for an entire week!” He paused for a moment and then asked, “What would you say if somebody came up to you today and asked you to go shopping with them telling you to get whatever you wanted?”

God had spoke to Marciano at this moment and told him to go and just do it. The family acknowledged that would be a miracle. Marciano then said, “Let me tell you about Blue Mustang.”

The couple gave them a strange look and responded, “Blue Mustang!”

Marciano said, “Yeah, God tells Blue Mustang to just do it and He blesses families. We believe it is important to bless others so that we too can be blessed. We also have learned from him to “just do it”.”

When Blue Mustang started saying “Just Do It” Marciano just loved that phrase so it is now a part of his vocabulary. So when his gang asks if they should do something, he says, “Let’s just do it.”

The lady started crying. Soon her husband followed. Their kids asked Marciano, “Who is this Blue Mustang? Is he like Santa Claus?”

Marciano responded, “Yeah, he is just like a Christian Santa Claus. When God tells him to do something, he says let’s just do it.”

The kids turn to their mom and asked, “Can we get some cookies?”

She said, “Yes, let’s just do it.”

That entire gang went shopping with them. Marciano’s gang always turns heads when they walk through a store. It is unusual to have 22 guys shopping at the same time. They walked with them through the entire store getting groceries for them. The little boy then asked, “Can we get ice cream?”

His little sister said, “Let’s just do it.”

Marciano said, “Sometimes even as a gang we don’t get everything we want. But today I want you to get the things that you want. I want you to “just do it”. We are here to take care of you.”

They finally got a cart full of food and headed toward the checkout. They got enough groceries to last two weeks. The kids were all excited and said, “Now, this is grocery shopping.”

That family kept thanking the boys for what they had just done as they continued walking toward the checkout. The parents said, “We are going to eat good because of you guys.”

Marciano said, “No, it is not us. It is God entirely. He said to “just do it”.”

When the cashier totaled everything up, it turned out to be $359. The manager of the store happened to be listening when the gang first met with the family at the checkout line so he knew everything that was going on. When the gang got ready to pay, the manager paid for half of the total. What is cool about all of this is what was about to happen to the husband.

That man was crying the whole time while this was going on. He said, “I cannot believe this is happening. Are you pulling our legs and you are planning to walk away at the last minute?”

Marciano said, “No way man. God says to “just do it” and we are going to do it.”

Up to this point, the husband has not been to church in ten years. His wife goes to church faithfully. What was happening today was a witness to the husband. He was seeing what true followers of Jesus Christ are like. He wanted that in his life. Our King was more interested in his salvation then the groceries.

Marciano and his gang were definitely having fun with the “just do it” phrase. Another thing that was interesting that happened, was a young woman standing behind the gang members wearing a Nike shirt that said “just do it.” When they turned around and saw her in line with that t-shirt, they all started laughing. The family’s daughter went up to her and asked, “What size is that shirt? I would like to get one.”

She replied, “I am a manager of a Nike shirt store. You come to my store and I will get some T-shirts for you.”

So after getting the groceries, the family headed to the Nike store to get some “just do it” shirts. What happened at that King Soopers in the Bronx was so powerful the husband gave his heart to Jesus Christ. Marciano and his gang are going to disciple him and check on him once a week to see if he needs anything to help him start his new walk with Jesus Christ. Marciano’s mom called the wife of the family to have her come to their Bible study where she could get support from the women.

Marciano is a lot like Paul. Before he turned his life over to Jesus Christ, he had that reputation that he did not take no crap from any other gang member. His guys were all top notch when it came to protecting themselves from other gangs. He has had to live with that reputation trying to convince people that he has changed his life to Jesus Christ. He even tried using an alias to hide his identity but was too well known in the Bronx. On the positive side, his gang’s reputation definitely has advantages when it came to talking about Jesus Christ. Other gang members knew about him and what he was capable of doing so they had respect for him. But Marciano would always tell whoever he would come in contact with that he came in peace. Like me, he would always have food or something to bless the gangs.

Another thing that Marciano does is neighborhood clean up. He would rent a truck when some areas in the neighborhood get messed up because of gang activity. He and his gang would go out and clean up those areas. The gang members would always come out and demand to know what he is doing. He would always tell them that he’s here to clean things up for them so they’d have a nice clean place to hang out. He would then share with them that Jesus Christ asked him to do this because he loves them so much. Many times the gangs would give their lives over to Jesus just because of this sacrifice.

When you serve God, he not only looks out for you but blesses you. For example: When the guy that he rented the truck found out what Marciano was doing, he said, “If I only knew that you were doing this, I would not have charge you anything for the trucks.”

The owner just stood there for a moment then quickly went into the office. He looked through Marciano’s past charges. After adding everything up, he wrote a check to Marciano reimbursing him for past rentals. He then asked him if he had a favorite truck that he liked. Marciano said, “Sonny likes the number 51. If you have that number I would take that one.”

The owner did not have that number in his fleet so Marciano asked for 12 representing the twelve disciples. The owner said, “Marciano, I don’t have a number 12 either. I do have a number 13.”

Marciano thought for a minute then said, “That will do. That would be twelve disciples + Jesus Christ. That makes 13. That will be a great truck.”

The owner then gave Marciano a key to the lot so he could pick the truck up anytime someone is not here. He promised him that it would be fueled up and ready to go when he got there. The owner completely trusted Marciano. He earned his trust by living for Jesus Christ.

Marciano is cleaning up the Bronx and he is also blessing families at King Soopers. He was told by God to look for people with lists. Those people will usually be looking at their list trying to decide if they can afford to get anything on the list and what they might have to leave out. Also, look for short lists. That is another sign that may show people who do not have the money to buy groceries. By using this information from God, he has 100% success rate of reaching people who are in need.

As Marciano hung up his cell phone talking with me, he said, “God gets the Glory and the Victory.

Brother and Sister Families Blessed

It was Saturday and my King had me go to a different King Soopers store on the southside of Denver. I have never been here before. When I arrived, I sat in the parking lot checking out my surroundings. I noticed the store was one of those big King Soopers stores that have everything. God then said, “Sonny, look to the east.”

As I looked towards the east, I noticed two vans sitting over there. My King then said, “That is them. They are waiting for a miracle.”

I was getting ready to go and see them right away. But God said for me to wait and observe. I watched as the parents and the kids got out of the vans. I found out later that the husbands were brothers and their wives were sisters. They met at a party a long time ago. That is why they have this relationship. One of the younger kids started aiming towards the sky. I wondered what he just said. I was too far away to hear what they were saying.

God then said, “Sonny, take your Bible and pray with them.”

With my Bible in hand, I started walking towards them. The first one that approached me was the 8 year old little boy. He asked, “Are you a minister?”

The parents laughed when he asked that question. I said, “Yes, I minister out in the streets. Why were you pointing to the sky?”

The little boy said, “My parents said that all things are possible. I was pointing to God when I said with him all things are possible.”

I replied, “You are absolutely right. In this world many things are impossible. But with our King all things are possible.”

The little boy then said, “We have been praying for a miracle.”

Isaiah one of the husbands said, “With this covid thing going on, we are just barely making it. Just last night I had to have my brother and his wife move into our apartment. This way we can eliminate one rent.”

Their landlord has been supporting them and offered to move them into a larger apartment that just opened up. Normally, the lease does not allow for multiple family living but he wanted to give them a couple of months to get things straightened out. Next they shared that they had just enough food in the refrigerator to make a few sandwiches but that was it. I then asked, “You don’t have any cereal or milk either.”

Isaiah said, “No but when I woke up this morning, God told me to get everyone and to come to this store and pray for a miracle. We feel like we are failures with our families because we are barely making it.”

I said, “You are not failures!” I quoted Matthew 6:33 to them and then I said, “You are discipling your children and you are doing everything right. You came here walking in faith.”

His wife said, “That is what I told my husband. We are walking not by sight but faith. God said to come here so we came.”

This was the first time I ever did this but I had them line up. I prayed for each one individually. Then we got in a circle and I prayed as a group. We prayed for a miracle. I still haven’t told them what I was here for but now it is time. I said, “I want to tell you about how God uses Blue Mustang.”

Their five-year-old daughter said, “Blue Mustang. That is a car.”

I said, “Yeah, he drives a Blue Mustang. It is the nickname that the Latinos gave him.” She wasn’t sure what I meant by the Latinos but that is another story. I then said, “God has put on his heart to give money to families that are struggling so they can buy groceries. That is his ministry. He is also helping me buy the food in my gang ministry. He does that to let the gangs know that our God is real. Our God is not dead.”

The little girl said, “That is like the song from the Newsboys Our God is Not Dead.” She has heard the song before because her parents listen to Christian music. The little girl then asked, “Why do people not have faith in God when he is the one that created the world?”

I said, “That is because they are stuck on themselves. They are not seeking God first.”

I was about ready to quote Matthew 6:33 again to them when their 10 year old little boy started quoting the verse from memory. “Noah, one of the other kids said, “I am praying that God hurries up because I am craving some cereal. I miss not eating cereal in the morning.”

When Isaiah got the message from God to come here, everybody immediately came to the store. No one had a chance to eat any breakfast this morning because they wanted to come here right away. It can be said that they came here in faith. They did not even know how long they might have to wait. I found out they were waiting here for an hour and 10 minutes before I showed up. But they were willing to wait longer. God knew that I wasn’t going to be here at the time they arrived. Many times he’ll have us wait to see if we’re obedient to him. Plus it shows if we really trust him.

I already had put the money in separate envelopes. I said, “This money is from our King. But just remember Blue Mustang is blessed by God to bless people. He is being obedient to helping people like you.” As I handed them the envelopes, I said, “This belongs to you.”

They opened the envelopes and families excitedly said, “This is a miracle! Let’s go get cereal!”

I said, “God said that you need to get the things that you need but not the things you want.”

The oldest boy Nehemiah said, “Let’s pray for Blue Mustang. He blessed us so we need to ask God to bless him.”

Their parents are raising these kids right. He wanted to pray for Blue Mustang and thanking God instead of wanting something for himself first. Their hearts are for the Kingdom. Nehemiah reached out to grab my hand as we stood in a circle. He said, “God, wherever Blue Mustang is right now, I ask you to bless him abundantly. Let the floodgates of God’s Kingdom fall on him and his family.”

As Nehemiah was praying, I was thinking that he’s going to be in an evangelist someday. After Nehemiah finished praying, each one of the kids said a prayer. The adults then began praying. As the last adult was starting to pray, I heard some footsteps behind me. I was just praising God and knew that he was protecting us so I didn’t care. I soon could hear soft voices but I kept my eyes closed as we continued praying. After the last parent finished, we open our eyes and noticed that a white van showed up and the occupants were all standing around us in a circle and praying for us. One of them said, “We saw all of you in a circle praying. God then told us to stop and pray for you.”

I also noticed that people coming out of the store saw us praying. Some of them had their hands outstretched like they were also praying for us. I don’t see this happening very much at other King Soopers stores. This must be a tighter community for people to reach out like that. Soon, one of the older couples stepped forward and asked, “We just finished praying for you. Is there anything in specific that we can pray for you about? Like what needs do you have that we can pray for?”

The men from the families told them exactly what just happened here. He told him that Blue Mustang has just given them money to buy groceries. The little girl stepped up and said, “And he is a man of God.”

The old couple then said, “We want you to come over here by the van. We want to show you something.”

The old gentleman opened up the back door of the van. Inside there was a single suitcase. He then proceeded to open the suitcase. It had places to put 12 envelopes. They have already given envelopes to five families. I found out later that these couples, when God tells them to, drive around and find families who are in need. They stop and bless them. I asked, “Do you do this all the time?”

They replied, “No, we only do it when God tells us to.”

They then handed one family envelope number 6 and the other one envelope number 7. The old gentleman said, “You do not have to open them up right now. This is what God said for us to do and that is what we are doing.” They looked at each of the families and said, “Keep your eyes on God’s Kingdom and he will answer all your prayers for his Glory not yours. It is for His will; not yours. You may ask for a million dollars but it is up to God what you are going to get.”

We then placed all the couples in the middle. The families and I surrounded them and prayed for them. What was really interesting, the two little girls we’re inside the circle with the old couples. They laid their hands on each one of their backs and said a prayer for each one. I was watching all this unfold before my eyes. It was one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen.

The families and the couples said their goodbyes and they exchanged contact information. I too, gave my ministry cards to both the families and the old couples. The old couples climbed back into their van and they left. One of the wives said, “I am curious. I just have to know what’s in one of those envelopes. I want to see.”

Her husband said, “Well, just open them.”

As they carefully tore into each one of those envelopes, each one had $1,000 in them. I said, “That is God. That definitely is God.”

One of the little boys said, “The power of prayer works. We have to pray and trust God. Even if it would have been $10, we have to thank him for that.”

They then laid their hands on the envelopes and prayed over them. They prayed for those families that blessed them that God would bless them. They laid Blue Mustang’s money on top of theirs and prayed that Blue Mustang would get blessed double on top of that. Bless him today wherever he is at. Nehemiah prayed some more. I said, “I just love the way you pray.”

Nehemiah said, “My dad and my mom taught me how to pray. But it’s the relationship with Jesus Christ that makes things different. I love talking to him.”

The little girl confirmed, “You are right. It’s not about a religion. It is about a relationship with the father whose name is Yahweh and his son Jesus Christ. It is about them and not us.”

I said to myself that these kids are just amazing. Ruth, one of the wives stepped up to me and asked, “Do you want to see the grocery list that I made this morning before we got here?”

I said, “Yes, I want to see it.”

She then pulled a list out of her purse and there was a full-page of items that she had listed out that she needed. She said, “I made it in faith that God was going to bless us.”

The families began hugging me. Their little girl would not let go of my hand all the time that we were together. We began walking around the parking lot and I began sharing more with the parents. One of the little boys grabbed hold of my other hand as we begin talking. The white van that left just a few minutes ago showed up again with everybody still in it. They got out and said, “We are so sorry. We forgot to ask if you guys have a place to stay.”

The families immediately said, “Yes, we do have a place to stay. We are going to be moving into a bigger apartment next week so we can all fit in it.”

The driver of the van then said, “In a month, my rental home will be open. It has seven bedrooms. There are four bedrooms on the top and three bedrooms on the bottom. If you guys want to move there we can make that happen.”

The driver’s wife spoke up and said, “It has a big backyard. It will be great for your children to play in.”

Both families took the opportunity to live in their home. The old couple said, “As we were driving away, God reminded me about our home that was about to become available. He said for me to come back and let you know about it.”

The families were blessed again. One thing you will notice in my stories is that all the families are walking out in faith. They are praying and they are expecting a miracle. When you pray, you must expect a miracle. I am living proof that our God is real and answers prayer. I cannot wait until God reveals himself to new couples next week.

Blessing Denver Park families

I went to the King Soopers I normally go to on Saturday morning. I picked up the supplies that I needed to witness to the gangs that day. I went back to my pickup and sat there. My King said, “Sonny I want you to go to a park. The park is located seven blocks to the south and three blocks to the west.”

I thought to myself that this was strange because people come to the store to buy groceries.  As I was trying to resolve this in my mind, my King said, “Just go!”

There was a park there just as my King said. When I arrived, there was a car and a van already there. As I looked the situation over, I noticed the parents of two families in the center of a circle of kids. I found out later the wives happened to be sisters. Their eight kids were holding hands around the outside of the circle and were praying. I still couldn’t hear what they were saying because I was too far away.  As I got closer, I could hear more of the children’s prayer about getting groceries today. I am beginning to learn that getting groceries doesn’t necessarily have to start at a store but it is where God sends me. These children were praying in faith. Later they shared with me that the parents began praying first. The kids then gathered around them and they continued praying after their parents did.

I came within ten feet of the families. I could hear one of the older kids begin to pray. She said, “God you heard my parent’s prayer. We are in need of a miracle today. We do not know what to do. Personally, I am getting tired of eating bologna and bread. But we are thankful for it. But I could really use a bowl of cereal today.”

This was a simple prayer but she is reaching out to God in faith that He would supply their needs. I was beginning to cry because these children were all crying out their hearts to God for a miracle. The parents were already crying as their kids began praying. Could you just imagine what it was like having your kids praying around you. I just continue to stand there until all the other kids finished praying. All the time while they were praying nobody was looking around. They all had their eyes closed so they did not know I was there. When the oldest girl said “Amen” they all open their eyes. That is when they noticed me. I did have my Bible in my hand. There’s something about the word of God that brings peace to his people. The parents stood up and asked, “How can we help you?”

I said, “I am here to help you today. My King brought me here directly to you. You need a miracle today.”

They then asked, “So you know what we need?”

I said, “Our God knows everything. He brought me here to you but Blue Mustang helped you to get groceries today.”

With a puzzled look they said, “Blue Mustang!” They always respond like this whenever I bring up my two brothers.

I responded, “Blue Mustang sets aside money for two families each week for families who need groceries.”

Like many of His people they do not totally realize how powerful our God is and the cool ways He demonstrates it. I have been doing this coming on six years and my King reveals his love differently to each family He sends me to. The families said, “You don’t even know us. Blue Mustang or Terry Bird have no idea who we are!”

I said, “That maybe true but they pray constantly for me, this ministry and for families like you who are hurting and need help.”

Their daughter who was six years old wanted to know more about Blue Mustang and Terry Bird. Her little brother said, “Don’t be silly! Everybody knows that Terry Bird is Big Birds brother.”

After I told them more about my brothers, the younger kids responded, “Those are the coolest names ever. We would like to have a cool name too.”

The oldest girl whose name is Sarah said, “God answered our prayer. We needed a miracle and we received one.”

Both families shared with me that they live in a one-bedroom apartment. In their refrigerator was 3 slices of Bologna, one loaf of bread and one slice of cheese. It is time to bless the families. I said, “Here is the money Blue Mustang gave me to give to you guys so you can buy groceries.”

I handed $140 to each family. While I was doing this, there were seven old couples walking and exercising around the park. They had been watching us the whole time. I was concentrating on talking with these two families and I never noticed the seven old couples. I never worry about my surroundings because I know that my King always has my back covered. Those seven couples came over and made a circle around us. They looked at the parents and asked, “How can we pray for you? We saw the children pray for you then we saw this man walk up to you. What’s going on and how can we help?”

The families shared a little bit about their life, how they’re living in a single bedroom apartment and that they’re struggling and having a difficult time getting groceries. They said, “We just moved here but we will not get paid for 2 weeks.”

One of the couples spoke up and said, “So you need a bigger place to live?” The old gentleman said, “My mom just passed away and she has a five bedroom home that we are thinking about renting out. We need to get it rented out so that we can continue to pay the mortgage.”

So he made an offer to the families to come and live in the house. The couple said, “The house has a kitchen in the basement. There are three bedrooms downstairs and five bedrooms upstairs. If you want the home we will give you two months rent-free.”

His wife said, “No, we’ll give them three months free.”

They did not care if the families stayed together. It would be an opportunity for the families to split the rent. God supplied the home for them. The old couple did not ask for a security deposit or down payment. Soon the families will be able to move into a nice home. The family wanted to thank Blue Mustang for what he did. The little girl said, “Do not forget about Terry Bird!”

The family then said, “We want to thank God for Blue Mustang, the prayers of Terry Bird and for this man Sonny who brought us the money for groceries.”

The seven couples then said, “Why don’t we go to the store and buy you groceries. You can use the money that this man gave you for gas or whatever.”

The little girl exclaimed, “Blue Mustang gave us this money to buy groceries. Not to put gas in our cars. We are going to use it for food especially cereal.”

The parents then said, “She is absolutely right. This money is not designated for gas but its designated for food.”

The old couple said, “That is okay but let’s go to King Soopers and buy groceries. We want to make sure you have enough food for the week until you get moved in. Then we’ll get more groceries after you get moved in. Oh, by the way, the house is all furnished. It has beds, couches and other furniture.”

Both families could have easily stayed at their apartment and prayed but God told them that they needed to go to the park and pray there. Because He knew the people that would be there that day. The kids could play while adults prayed. That is the reason why God sent me there because He knew that families would be there because He sent them. People need to understand that when God sends you some place, you need to go there. God doesn’t need anybody to debate Him or complain like “Really! Do I have to go to the park now?” Wherever I go, I will always get to watch what God does. I notice how cool my King is whenever He reveals himself to someone. His plans come out perfect even if I mess up.

The kids started running around the park. All the while they were running around the park, they were thanking God for what just happened. They kept repeating, “Thank you God for answering our prayer and thank you for being so faithful.”

They learned how to pray and praise like this from their parents. It is a responsibility of our kids to pick it up but we have to confess it in front of them so they realize that we are serving an awesome God.

Sarah said, “Before you go, I want to pray for you, Blue Mustang and Terry Bird. Even though Sarah was only 11 years old, she prayed like an adult. It was amazing how she prayed. She held my hand and prayed for my protection. She then said, “I will never forget this day for the rest of my life on how God answered our prayers.”

I said, “God hears our prayers even if we don’t need something. He still listens and He still hears them. It is on his timing when He answers your prayer. This shows that we should never stop praying.”

Sarah then said, “You are the bravest man we have ever met.”

Her mom then stepped in and said, “You must have been chosen by God to go and witness to gangs. Because they are mean.”

I said, “They are mean but they all have broken hearts. Many times they have been thrown out of their homes and their hearts are damaged worse.”

After this, the seven couples prayed for us. They then said, “Let’s go to King Soopers and buy your groceries.”

The families did use Blue Mustang’s money for groceries but his investment was multiplied greatly by God. We know that there are other families out there that need help. We need to pray for them and that others will step up to bless them. As for me, I will continue to go after them to let our King rock their world. I know that it is physically impossible to bless someone’s life without their blessing touching my own life.

Praying Outloud Brings Family Blessings

It was a Saturday at the end of August. I ate breakfast with Blue Mustang and he gave me $280 to bless families. As I left for Denver, my King directed me to a King Soopers on 144th Avenue in Denver. Normally he has me park facing west but today he told me to park facing east. I was wondering why God had me do that because the sunlight in the morning is difficult to look through. But my King confirmed to me again that I needed to face east and pray. So as I sat there, I rolled my window down and began to audibly pray to my King. In my prayer, I was praying for the families that I was going to meet today. I turned the music on in my pickup for some background praise music to set the mood. I continued praying about the families and praised my King. I had my eyes closed while I was doing this so I did not see the lady that came up to my pickup. She began tapping on my door. Her tapping semi startled me. I asked, “How can I help you?”

She said, “I never heard anybody pray like that before.”

I like to pray out loud when I pray to my King. Not only were their windows rolled down so were mine. She then said, “It sounded like you were talking to somebody sitting next to you.”

I said, “We are supposed to have that type of relationship with our King that we can just talk to him about any of our needs. Today, I’m just asking my King to prepare the hearts for the families in need that I am going to help today.”

She then started crying as I said this. She replied, “My husband John and I along with our three kids were praying just now for a miracle so that we could buy food today. We were about ready to go into the store and see if we could set up an account in some way to purchase food until my husband gets paid. We just did not know how to present this situation to the manager. We just need food and groceries to get us by for at least one week. As we pulled up near your vehicle I could hear you pray. I said to my husband I need to go over and talk to this guy. He seems to know how to talk to God.”

She then asked me if I could pray for her. I then got out of my pickup with my Bible in one hand and got ready to pray. Her husband John and their three kids began getting out of the van at the same time. Their little 5 year old daughter introduced herself to me and said, “My name is Samantha. But I like Sammy for short. It almost sounds like your name, but slightly different.”

Before I got the first word out, Sammy reached out and grabbed my free hand. It was an emotional moment when her hand touched mine. I am a total stranger to her but yet she came up and she held my hand. Children are amazing. Their hearts are pure when they’re young and they still believe nothing is impossible. I totally understand why Jesus Christ said, “Let the little children come unto me.” He totally understood what childlike faith is.

I said, “God brought me here to bless you. I was waiting here for you. God told me exactly how to park so that you would hear me praying.”

She said, “We came here looking for a miracle.”

As I was getting ready to pray, a 1968 Buick family car pulled up. This car was huge in size. It looked like a boat. A family of four got out of the car and walked towards us. They said, “We noticed that you guys were praying. We were wondering if we could do anything to help you pray.”

John said, “When we pulled up, we could hear this man praying.” He then shared everything that I said to his family.

The other couple then said, “God also asked us to come here to pray and to expect a miracle. Because we need groceries too.”

It was so cool how this last family thought of us even though they were needing groceries. Their first thoughts were, “How can we pray for this other family?” That was more important to them then getting fed. The needs of other people were in their hearts. I then had both families come together into a circle so we all could pray together. The adults began praying first. Sammy still had a tight grip on my hand. I started the prayer. John said the next prayer and his wife Ruth followed him. The last couple, whose names are Phil and Rosemary, prayed last.

Sammy closed with a prayer of her own, “Thank you Jesus for bringing Sonny here and for Blue Mustang for allowing us to get groceries because I really needed some milk right now.” She then ended, “I believe in miracles.”

I asked her, “Where did you learn how to pray like that?”

She said, “I hear my Mommy and Dad pray for me when I go to bed. They almost sound like you but not really.”

I asked, “What do you mean by that?”

Sammy replied, “They only pray for a little bit and then it’s over. But when they go away, I pray to God to. Sometimes I fall asleep praying.”

She was so honest, just sharing everything in her heart. It is now time to bless the families. I said, “This is what God has given to Blue Mustang that he has given to me for you.”

I had already shared with her earlier about my brothers in this ministry. When I mentioned their names, like most kids, they think Blue Mustang and Terry Bird are cartoon characters. I always love it how kids are fascinated with my spiritual brothers.

I reached into my pocket and pulled out the $280 that had already been sorted into two separate piles. I handed each family $140. They began crying as they realized that their miracle just happened.

Sammy then said, “Does this mean I can get cereal and milk?” I confirmed that she could. She then exclaimed, “Oh, I just can’t wait! I love Captain Crunch cereal!”

I said, “You know what? So do I!”

I went back to my pickup and opened the back door. I pulled out a large brand new box of Captain Crunch cereal. She then said, “You really must love Captain Crunch cereal too.” I then saw the expression change on her face. She solemnly said, “Yeah, if I could only have a glass of milk.”

I said, “So you need a glass of milk?”

She said, “Yeah, I would just put the cereal in that glass of milk and have a snack.”

I turned around to go to the back to my pickup. I had my cooler in there. I always keep a gallon of milk for the gangs because they love milk with their cereal and donuts. I gave her one of my plastic cups. We poured some cereal and some milk into the cup. She started eating and I could see her eyes roll back from the delight of eating something she has not had in a while. She exclaimed, “This is heaven.”

I just loved the way she said that. It’s amazing how simple it is to us but extraordinary to her to have cereal to eat. Both families wanted me to go shopping with them so we went into the store to get groceries together. Both families separated and bought what they needed but not what they wanted. Sammy brought that box of Captain Crunch cereal of mine into the store and began sharing the cereal with all the kids from both families. They continued to snack while they shopped.

The manager who was a Christian came up to us and said, “I have never seen a kid hold a box of cereal all the time while they were shopping. I saw them come into the store eating the cereal. I assumed they were just hungry and God showed me they were starving. I then went to the employees and talked it over with them.”

The manager had two $200 gift cards to give each family. All the employees had pitched in to bless these families. He wanted to make sure they had enough to be able to come back and get more groceries later. I then explained to the manager where the cereal came from. I said, “I always keep a box in my pick-up just in case I don’t get a chance to go out and get anything to eat. I can just snack on the Captain Crunch cereal to get by.”

Everyone who knows our King and has a need should be praying like these families. I experience God answering their prayers time after time. I am proof that he does. Next week it will be the same. His people will be praying to him. He will hear their prayers and he will send me or someone else who has a heart to bless. Even as of this writing, my King is hearing his people’s prayers and will send someone to their aid at the proper time. Please believe in a miracle. Step out in faith and make it happen. Always remember the scripture:

Matthew 7:7-8

7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

Our actions are what God is looking for. It is now time for me to witness to the gangs to bring them the message of Jesus Christ. He is ready to change their lives too.

Blessings Given Because of Teen Praying

It was Saturday and I was in Denver. Blue Mustang had already giving me $280 to bless families today. I prayed to the Lord and said, “I only go where you tell me to go. You need to send me to where these families are.”

I did not wait long for an answer. God said, “Are you thirsty?”

I said, “Yes I am.” I went to my favorite King Soopers store to pick up one of those large bottles of lemon water. As I was approaching the door, I was still in my pickup.  I looked over and saw a van over on the other side.

God said, “That is them.”

I went over and parked near them. There were seven kids in a circle praying. The oldest one there was 12 years old. He was doing all the praying. The moms were standing over to the right of the circle.  I got out of my pickup and God said, “Sonny, I want you just to listen to them.”

I could hear that young man pray, “Father you know us. You know the situation we are in. You know that we need groceries at home. We do not have very much at the house right now. I am asking you that we do not want to be selfish by getting things that we want but I am asking that we can get those things that we need. My mom said that you told her that somebody was coming. It scared her when she heard your voice.” When he got to the end, he said, “In Jesus name. Amen.”

From the way he prayed, it was as though he had a good spiritual father. Later I found out that this was the case. He listens to how his father prays that is the reason he prays the way he does. Plus his dad loves God a lot.  The children let go of their hands after completing their prayer.

I walked up to them and said, “My name is Sonny.”

I caught them off guard. They spun around looking at me. The kids asked, “Did you say your name is Sonny?”

One mom asked, “How can I help you?”

I said, “I am the answer to your prayer. God brought me here.” I began sharing with her about Blue Mustang giving money to bless families with groceries.  I then said, “And that is the reason why I am here.” I then asked her, “Is this your son?” She confirmed that he was. I then said, “God told you to come here today because somebody was coming here today.” When I told them this, they all started crying. It shows that all of the family has tender hearts. All of them serve God.

One mom started telling me about how her husband got laid off because of Covid. Their company became scared again and decided to lay everybody off. He has unemployment insurance but it’s going to be two weeks before he can get paid. She then told me how God woke her up this morning and told her to be at this King Soopers store to meet someone. She was in deep prayer earlier and God answered her prayers. They all had the faith to step out of the house and to come here to this King Soopers store. She said “I have been praying for a whole week and fasting for three days because we needed a miracle. We only have a dozen eggs in our refrigerator now and that’s it.”

I said, “Blue Mustang, out of obedience, gives because he has been given. I expect him to be blessed 100-fold for what he does. I have all kinds of prayer warriors with me too including Terry Bird. He loves praying for me. The five-year-old girl that was standing there next to me looked at me and said, “Terry Bird and Blue Mustang. Are they cartoon characters or something?”

I said, “You are half right. They are characters but they are not cartoon characters and they are funny. They are my brothers in Christ and they are a blessing to my life. They have a heart for the Kingdom.”

The little girl then said, “They are like human beings then.  I want a cool name like that.”  She thought some more then asked, “Do they have any brothers?”

I said, “I think so.”

She asked, “Is Terry the brother of Big Bird?” I just went along with her. I did not want to destroy her imagination. She then asked, “Does he have yellow feathers too?”

I said, “Yeah, he does.”

The moms were both crying and laughing as I was speaking about Big Bird. Earlier God had me separate the money before I got there. I then asked them if they would make a grocery list.

They said, “We already made our list this morning in faith.”

They showed me their list. It was all essential stuff. There was nothing like cookies or anything like that. Cereal wasn’t even on the list. I then gave $140 to one mom and another $140 to the other mom. Then I said, “Let’s go shopping.”

I wanted to go with them because God wanted me to buy the kids cereal. I mentioned that cereal wasn’t on their list but you know children, they like their cereal. I said, “Just take your list and start shopping.” The moms were still crying even while they were in the store. We started shopping in the produce section and people started staring as these moms who were in tears. I was talking to the kids while the moms were buying produce. An old Gentleman comes up to me and asked, “Are you Mormons?”

I thought that was a strange question to be asking.  I began to realize why he thought that way because I was with these two moms with all these kids around me. I started laughing and said, “No, I’m not a Mormon.”

I explained everything to him that was happening today and why I was with them. He said, “Oh my gosh. Forgive me for thinking like that.”

I said, “It was a good question. It know it looked like that but again, no. I just met them this morning.”

The couple then said, “What a blessing!”

I had my own cart ready to get my drink and the kids cereal and milk. You have to have milk for cereal.

The old gentleman said, “Can I see that cart for a minute?” He took it from me and said, “Let me have it. I want to bless these children today. You already have your hands full with the ministry you have. My wife and I would love to bless these kids.”

The older couple started talking to the children and and wanted to take them down the cereal aisle. Each child grabbed the variety of cereal they wanted. The old guy told the kids make sure to get the king size boxes so they will last you. The little girl said, “I love Raisin Bran cereal.”

One of them even picked out Captain Crunch. That is my favorite cereal. By the time they got through, the old couple bought each kid two boxes of cereal. He also made sure they had milk and orange juice to go with their cereal. He then asked them, “If you had a choice for dessert, what would that be?”

The five year old girl quickly said, “Oreo cookies.”

He then asked each child what they wanted for dessert. He warned them, “Make sure to stretch your dessert out. You don’t want to eat it all at once.”

One of the kids said, “We all know about that. I remember when we had one package of Oreo cookies. We could only have one cookie a day.”

I began to cry as I began to realize how blessed I am. The old gentleman went down the cookie isle for some of the desserts requested.  Some of them wanted ice cream so we picked that up at the very end of shopping so it wouldn’t melt. Meanwhile, the moms went to the meat section and they picked up some hamburger and chicken.

I was by the meat counter to check out the rib-eye steak.  I said, “Look at this. You can get ribeye steaks for $3.” The meat was just starting to become outdated so they had to get rid of the meat that day. So both families loaded up on good cuts of meat. We got in line to check out and they had everything on their list they needed for day-to-day necessities. I happened to get in the line where the check out lady had blessed another family a few weeks ago when I was at this King Soopers. I didn’t intentionally do that. She called on her radio and had the manager come over. One of the carts came out to be $140 but the other one was $152. That checker covered the rest of the higher cart. The older gentleman paid for all the cereals and desserts for the kids because he felt God wanted him to help bless these families. What happened next was really cool.

The manager said, “Does Blue Mustang give $140 each time?”

I said, “Yes he does.”

The manager then said, “Then I’m going to give each family a $140 gift card.”

This King Soopers store here in Denver is blessed strictly because of the people who love God that work here. They even have prayer time before they start their business day. I have no idea how many people’s hearts have been changed because of what they do.

When we went outside the store, the kids wanted me and the old couple to stand right in the middle of their families. They began to surround us and pray for us. It’s hard not to get emotional when you see kids do things like this. They are going to make a difference in this world because they already know how to pray. They had prayed earlier and God answered their prayer. The kids all hugged me and they said, “We are going to go home and have cereal.”

The twelve-year-olds final words were, “If you believe in Jesus Christ,  you have to walk it or you will never see his faithfulness. My dad is teaching me how to walk by faith not by sight.”

Both men were out looking for part-time jobs while their wives were shopping. Both wives were sisters. It was interesting that God spoke to one of the sisters. That sister immediately called her sister up and said, “We need to go now. God said that we are going to meet somebody at King Soopers. She drove over to her sister’s house and picked her up. God directed them to this store and they didn’t question God. One thing I like about our God, he is like the parable of the 100 sheep. If we become lost, he goes out and tries to get us to become part of the flock again. But unlike the human shepherd, he can take care of his people in the flock. He takes care of the flock’s needs while he is out looking to bring back the strays.
