Ghetto Cemetery Blessing

It is Saturday morning and I am heading back down to Denver. I was getting ready to turn at the King Soopers in the ghetto. God then said, “No, keep going straight.” I did not question what God said and continued to drive straight. I went two blocks when God had me turn right. As I began heading south, I was beginning to drive by a cemetery and I noticed two families out there in the middle of the cemetery. God then said, “That is them.”

Now this really caught me off guard. It was hard to believe that someone would be praying for food in the cemetery. God knew that I was beginning to doubt him and said again, “It is them! Get going!”

I turned at the entrance of the cemetery and made sure that my music was not playing on the outside speakers. The families were knelt down in the gravel and snow praying. When I parked near them, they never even looked up. I waited until they stopped praying before I went up to them. When they finished praying they immediately looked in the direction where I parked. I grabbed my Bible and got out of my pickup. I then began walking towards them. The first thing I did was introduce myself. I said, “Good morning. God brought me here because he wants to answer your prayers.”

They then asked, “How do you know our prayers? Do you know what we were praying for?”

I replied, “No, but God does. So, why are you guys here?”

They said, “Our mom and dad are right here. We are brothers. Our parents had the biggest faith ever. We are not praying to them but we were praying that God would give us the faith our parents had. A lot of us do not look at faith as a ministry or part of religion. We think faith is what we are going to get today. It is up to God what else we are going to get.”

I said, “We have to continue to walk by faith and not by sight. If you look around, all these people here are not with us anymore. So they cannot make any choices. They either had a choice to walk by faith and not by sight or just to walk by sight. I walk by faith and not by sight. If I would walk by sight, I would be running all the time because of all the pistols that are pointed at me from the gangs .”

They exclaimed, “Really!”

I said, “I minister to gangs all over the United States. This is God’s ministry and he gets all the Glory for that. The other ministry God is having us do, was started by Blue Mustang to help families. I bet you are praying that God would give you a miracle in your finances so you could buy groceries. You guys are struggling right now. Both of you haven’t worked for a long time because the companies are not open still or they sold out.”

One said, “I was there for 19 years. My brother was there for 21 years. They sold out because of covid. Now we are all out of jobs.”

I then asked, “So you were praying for the same faith as your parents?”

They replied, “Yeah, we need faith. We need to keep our heads up. When God is calling us out, we want to walk it in faith. We do not want to look around and ask the question ‘Why do we want to do that?'”

I said “Your faith and prayer is the reason why I am here.”

One of the husbands asked, “So God brought you here to help us?”

I explained, “God did bring me here but Blue Mustang started this ministry. God has blessed him so that he can give money to help families. He does not like to see families struggling to buy food.”

The one husband’s daughter, Samantha, asked, “Blue Mustang! That is a car, right! How is it that a car can talk to you?” I began to chuckle as she responded to what I said. I am glad that God has a sense of humor. I think he enjoys kids asking questions and the excitement it brings to them.

I replied, “The Latino gang gave him that name. He is a Godly man that God has blessed so he can bless families that need food. You are chosen today to be blessed by God.”

Both of the wives began crying. (This is interesting – the wives are sisters while the husbands are brothers. They met at a Christian party. They all hit it off and became families.)

The brothers then said “We do miss our parents greatly. They taught us that we need to have that strong faith and to walk in it.”

Samantha asked, “Does that mean that I get to have double stuffed Oreo cookies today?”

I confirmed that she could.

She then said, “Can we go to the store now, because I am hungry?”

I know she was being truthful because they were all very hungry.

The wife, Linda, asked, “How much did Blue Mustang give us?”

I replied, “He gives $140 to each family.”

Linda said, “That will help us tremendously. We have filed for unemployment but we will not get paid until next week. We need to go by groceries right now.”

I said “There is a King Soopers right down the road from here.”

Linda replied, “Yes, I know exactly where it is. We live just nine blocks from it.”

I then gave them my ministry cards and the money. When I laid the money in their hands, they began crying and hugging me. They then prayed over Blue Mustang and me. I then prayed over each family.

Lisa then said, “I know that this is all from God. Why would anyone ever want to stop by a cemetery? People usually come here to put down flowers and to remember friends and family. People do not want to interfere while they are doing that. We are grateful God told you to come here.”

I said, “You are right. You were chosen by God because you were hungry. Your faith is the reason why I am here. The second reason is Blue Mustang’s wanting to bless families. Blue Mustang puts his faith in God knowing that God will always provide.”

Samantha exclaimed, “Why he is just like Santa Claus. But he is a Christian Santa Claus.” Samantha then looked me in the eyes and asked, “Do you want to go shopping with us?”

These kids are so cute and it is very difficult to say no to that. I confirmed to her that I would go to the store with her.

Her brother, Jerome, was looking at my pickup. He then said, “That is a cool monster truck.”

I said, “Maybe you should ask your dad if you can come with me to the store in my truck. I can follow the rest to your family to King Soopers.”

Jerome said, “That would be cool!”

His dad was all over that and said, “Let us get into your truck and go.”

They saw my stereo system and asked if I could play “Mercy Me – I Can Only Imagine”. I started the song playing. Then I flipped the switch to turn the outside speakers on. They were totally blown away by the sound that my stereo could make. I continued following the rest of the family to the store.

When we walked into the store, the manager was watching us. He began shaking his head as he began to realize what I was up to. Samantha took off running heading for the cookie aisle. She’s still had a hold of my hand and would not let go. I was being towed to the cookie aisle. Meanwhile, the manager went over and had a group huddle with all the kids that worked at the store. Because the store is in a dangerous part of town, it is not real busy in the morning so they could do that.

Samantha with cookies in hand then wanted to go get milk. But her mom, Julianna, said, “This is not the time to do that. We should wait till the end.”

I noticed that two of the girl employees each had a cart they were pushing. They were following close behind us and it appeared to me they were putting in similar items that we were getting. I found out later that the manager did tell those two girls to duplicate the things that these families were picking out. Both of the girls continued talking to each other trying not to make it obvious. The families were so excited to be able to get groceries that they were not paying any attention at all. One thing I did notice when they walked by the meat area they grab these huge tubes of hamburger for each of the families. These families both had plans of grilling cheeseburgers together after they finished shopping. Each family calculated everything they had in their cart to make sure they did not go over. The family split up and went into two different checkout lanes.

The girls that were following us did the same thing. They split up and went into their separate lanes behind the families. One dad turned around and looked at the girls cart behind him. He then turned around and looked at his own cart. He turned around again and looked back at the girl saying, “You have everything that we have in our carts.”

Leroy then said, “Wow! Look at that, sweetheart.”

Linda turned around to and said, “You do have everything that we have. Why this sure is funny!”

The other family noticed the same thing. Each family began putting their groceries on the conveyor belt. The girls did the same and mixed their stuff with the family’s. Leroy said, “No, that is your stuff.”

Each girl said, “No, our manager told us to duplicate everything that you picked out. He wanted to double everything that you had.”

Leroy then replied, “We cannot afford that!”

While they were debating what just happened, the cashier continued totaling everything up. The manager then put his card in and paid for everything. He went over to the other family’s bill and did the same thing as they watched. Both of these families began to cry as they witnessed this amazing miracle.

Samantha went over to the manager and gave him a big hug and said, “Thank you for blessing us. We sure could use it.”

The manager then pulled out two $50 gift cards to help them out with gas.

The family’s children began thanking God by saying, “If we had not prayed this morning nothing would’ve happened. If Blue Mustang would not have helped us, we never would’ve come here. Sonny in turn would not have brought the gift from Blue Mustang. We stepped out in faith and God took care of us.”

Their little son Billy then said, “Don’t forget about Blue Mustang. He is a car.”

I noticed that Billy had in his possession the hotdog buns. The only time he let go of them was to scan them then he immediately grabbed them back and continued to hold them. He loves hot dogs. He said, “I am going to hold onto the hotdog buns no matter what.”

This store is blessed because they are givers. It is in that part of town where if I was not called to go there, I would not go. If you look out in the parking lot, you can see drug dealers, pimps, and even child traffickers. These kids grow up here while all this is going on. Knowing the Lord is a plus because his word does tell us that he will protect us if we serve him. The sisters came to the cemetery because they remembered how much faith their parents exhibited. They asked God to give them the same faith their parents had. They knew that faith was important in order to please God.

The families then left the store. They picked up a gallon of ice cream and chocolate syrup. They were going to have ice cream after they ate their cheeseburgers.

The last words that they shared with me was from Samantha. She said, “We have learned today to walk by faith not by sight. God blessed us because of that.” That little girl left me inspired as everybody went their separate ways. God gets the Glory and the Victory.

Another Isaiah 41:10 Blessing

It was Saturday morning and I just finished eating breakfast with Blue Mustang. I started heading towards the ghetto in Denver to find some more families to bless. God has been taking me there lately. As I was getting closer to my destination, God said, “Sonny, turn around. I have families praying for food some place else.”

I was starting to fall in love with the people at the ghetto and I was looking forward to speaking with them again. But God continued, “No, I have some other people that need you.” He had me heading west. I had no idea where I was going. I drove for a few minutes then he had me turn right which entered into another King Soopers store. The ghetto is real close to this store but you can tell things are a lot better around here. I still think that my King has me stop at King Soopers stores just because he likes that word King. As everybody knows he’s the King of all kings. Blue Mustang also has mentioned to me that we always eat at Burger King for breakfast. We just enjoy eating there immensely plus everything is so much cheaper. Everyone knows us there and we get great service.

I entered into the parking lot and I stopped and waited. Soon all kinds of people started showing up to go grocery shopping. It was humanly impossible to find who I was to bless so I told, “God, there are just too many people here. You are going to have to bring them to my pickup.” I began looking for grocery lists. But it seemed like everybody had one of those in their hands so I knew that wouldn’t work either. I repeated, “God, just bring them to me.” I then sat back in my seat and closed my eyes. Since my eyes were going to be closed I said, “God, just let them knock on my door while I’m resting.” I did not have my eyes closed very long when I heard this knocking on my passenger door. I looked over to my passenger side and noticed a younger teenage girl standing there. I rolled my window down to talk to her.

She then said, “At my grandma’s house she had somebody paint the verse Isaiah 41:10, that you have written on your door, on her wall. For you to have that verse on your door, God answered our prayer. When we were praying this morning needing a miracle today.”

I then asked, “What is your name?”

She replied, “My name is Elizabeth.”

I then asked, “Who brought you to King Soopers today?”

She replied, “It was God. In order to get something you have to go wherever it is. That is what my mom and dad always say and that is the reason why we are here. We have been here praying for 45 minutes already. I got out of the van because I was tired of just sitting there in one spot and wanted to go for a walk. I happened to walk by your pickup and saw that verse on your door. I have already called my parents and told them about the verse you have on your door.”

When her parents got here they asked me about what their daughter had already shared with me.

I then said, “God gave me that verse because I minister to gangs. It says fear not because I am with you. That verse says it all. God had me put that verse on my door as a reminder not only to me but even for those that pull up beside me at a red light.” I paused a second then asked, “So you came here because you need a miracle?”

She replied, “Yes, we definitely do need a miracle. My husband lost his job because the company he worked for shut their doors because of covid. Nobody wanted to come to work because of fear. We have to wait on finances until my husband gets a different job. We are hungry and we could use some groceries. God said for us to come here because the miracle was going to be here.”

I said, “Well let me tell you about Blue Mustang…” As usual I was interrupted by her young daughter who exclaimed, “Blue Mustang!” I then looked at her knowing that her parents were still listening and said, “Blue Mustang has a ministry that blesses families so they can buy groceries.”

Her parents replied, “Anything will help that will get us something to eat even if it is five dollars.”

I said, “He gives $140 per family. I know that’s a lot of money to some people. Some people may think that’s not very much.”

The wife quickly said, “That is a lot of money. We could buy a lot of groceries with that.”

I said, “God is faithful and he heard your prayers. You came here because God brought you here. You need to be where the food is at. God sent me here to bless you. I go where God sends me and Blue Mustang gives me money so you are able to buy groceries. God put that in his heart and it is a huge ministry. It’s entirely to bless families.”

The wife asked, “Can I call my sister? They need groceries to.”

I said, “Of course; go ahead and call them.”

She shared with me that her sister wasn’t really a Christian. They were both brought up in church but her sister has walked away from it.

I then said, “When you call her, ask her if she would like to receive a miracle today. God has provided one. But it was entirely from God. Tell her you had nothing to do with it.”

She then walked away and called her. I began talking to her kids as she made the call. Their 14-year-old son Josiah asked, “Is that what you do all day is go to King Soopers stores and wait for somebody to show up so you can bless them with money from Blue Mustang?”

I replied, “No, I just do that Saturday mornings. That is when God opens the window from his kingdom to bless people with money to buy food.”

Josiah then asked, “What do you do the rest of the day?”

I said, “I minister to gangs in the city and the United States”.

Josiah exclaimed, “Boy, that would be dangerous!” I confirmed that it can be. He then said “That really is walking by faith and not by sight.”

I replied, “That is true. If I walked by sight, I would probably run when I would see all of them pistols pointing at me. But faith keeps me on the path to share the message of Jesus Christ with these gangs. Without faith in God, I would not be able to do this ministry at all. Even with faith it is still tough to see pistols pointing at me all the time.”

Josiah then said, “I need to pray for you.” Josiah then laid his hand on my heart and began praying over me. He prayed, “Lord, I pray that no harm comes to this man. I see the scars on him. Lord, you are the healer and protector. Continue to protect Sonny wherever he goes. Prepare those hearts of those young men that are broken in Jesus name. Amen.”

I began crying after he prayed that word over me. I then shared with him, “Blue Mustang prayed almost the same prayer two months ago. I would get hit a lot every weekend. They would hit me with bats and their fists. Some would body slam me into the ground. But since he prayed for me specifically that I would not get injured, I have not been touched. This is proof God’s answers prayer.”

Josiah exclaimed, “Amen, that is a miracle.”

Josiah was on fire with excitement. Josiah’s mom, Nancy, came back from her phone call with her sister. She said, “My sister is on her way with her family.”

It wasn’t long and her sister Lisa showed up. Lisa got out of her car and began to question me right away. She exclaimed, “So let me get this right.”

Lisa’s husband interrupted her conversation and said “Be careful how you speak to this man. You can tell he is a Godly man. Just be thankful and grateful.”

Lisa said “All right I can do that.” She then looked at me and asked, “So you go where God sends you with money from Blue Mustang so families can buy groceries?”

I replied, “Yes, you are right. God blesses Blue Mustang. He in turn provides the money to give to families that are hungry. God then sends me to the store where these families are waiting. God does it all.”

Lisa then said, “My sister said she has been here 45 minutes already.”

I replied, “That is true too. Normally, I go to the King Soopers east of here. That is where God has been sending me lately. But today he wanted me to come here.”

Lisa then shared, “I used to pray a lot. But since my mom died of cancer, I have been mad at God.”

I said, “You know what? It wasn’t because of God that she died. God did not create cancer. He had no part of that but he is the healer. We all only live so long and eventually we get to go and see the King. Tomorrow is never promised not even for me. So don’t blame God for the cancer that took your mom. It was time for your mom to go see God. So don’t blame God because He did not do that.”

Lisa began crying. She asked, “Will you pray for me because I need my heart restored back to Christ. I need a fresh anointing from God.”

Elizabeth came over and started praying for her aunt for that fresh anointing. Lisa then exclaimed, “I am going to serve God from this day forward no matter what. No matter what my circumstances are I am going to continue serving him.”

I began thinking that this ministry God has us doing is not only to bless people with money to buy groceries but many times it is dealing with the salvation of people and the strengthening of their faith. Many times their faith is at a dim point in their life. God wants to restore that faith by encouraging them. This ministry of God has many purposes and I am lucky enough to get to see it all happen as He brings everything together.

Lisa then came to me and said “I want to rededicate my heart to Jesus Christ.” Nancy came up to her and started praying with her. Lisa’s husband, Leroy, began crying as he watched his wife rededicate her life to Jesus Christ. Josiah went up and hugged his uncle as he continued to cry. This moment of celebration of Lisa re-dedicating her heart to Jesus Christ became a tearful celebration for all the families. As things begin to settle down, I reached into my wallet and handed $140 to each family. Both families just looked at me with their mouth open and said “This is a lot of money.” I just love it when God gives money to people who really appreciate it. Both families began to make a grocery list of the things they needed.

While they were making their lists, I noticed three girls who looked just like cheerleaders coming out of the store with three grocery carts. They come up to us and said, “We are looking for some volunteers. We are looking for two families.”

Both families had a puzzled look and asked, “What do you want us to volunteer for?”

The girls replied, “To take gift cards.”

The families began to laugh and said, “You are really looking for volunteers to take a gift card?”

One of the teenagers said, “Yes, every Saturday we give three $100 gift cards to people who are looking for help.” This definitely caught the families off guard because they have never heard anything like this before but they did take them up on their offer.

All the teenagers then asked, “We would love to pray for you first before we give them to you.”

When these teenage girls started praying for those families you could tell they do this quite often. Their prayers were beautiful to listen to. After they finished praying for the families they prayed for me and God’s ministries that I am involved in.

One of the teenage girls was amazed with what I was doing and asked, “So you minister to all the gangs here in the city?” I confirm that I did. She then exclaimed, “And you are still alive?”

The way she said that made me laugh. I then shared with her the prayer that Blue Mustang gave me a couple months ago.

She then exclaimed, “Blue Mustang, that is sure a cool name. I just love it.”

I then shared with her the details on how he got that name from the Latinos. She paused with an inquisitive look and said, “The Latinos, would that happened to be Lorenzo?”

I then asked, “How in the world do you know Lorenzo?”

She said, “They come here to buy their groceries from time to time. They were always trying to pick us up and get us to go with them. Then one day he apologized to us and said we are not going to try to pick you up anymore. We are going to change our lives.”

This did not surprise me one bit. I have been watching the Holy Spirit changed his heart all of the time I’ve been bringing the message of Jesus Christ to him.

The families began calling their families and telling them how they got blessed today. They began sharing how they received $140 then another hundred dollars. We now have $240 to spend on groceries. The teenagers still had another hundred dollars gift card to give away and asked if the families needed it.

Lisa said, “No, I am sure there is someone out there right now who is struggling. We need to give that gift card to them.”

The teenager said “No problem” and put the card back into her pocket. At this moment we all began going into the store and doing some shopping. The families they called started showing up while we were in the store. The families were all curious and wanted to meet me. Many had prayer requests of things they wanted me to pray for. The teenagers then asked if any of these families that showed up needed a gift card. They also confirmed that they were doing well and it should be given to somebody who is really in need. The families were embarrassed because they did not realize that their sisters families were in such need. They agreed that they needed to communicate with each other more often and agreed they are going to take care of them from now on.

One teenager began praying for some of the families that rededicated their hearts to Jesus Christ. The manager then walks by and asked, “Are you girls praying for more people?” They confirmed that they were and the manager then said, “You just keep at it. I know that we are paid to work at King Soopers but we also are to serve God. You continue to pray for them with whatever it takes.”

The teenager then shared with the manager what they had already done.

The manager said “This is amazing. God is faithful.” and then walked away. After everybody went through the checkout, the manager ended up paying for everyone’s bill. So now the miracles continue to multiply. The families have their groceries paid for and they still have $240. I know these families and they are not going to go out to waste the money. They will either put gas in their vehicles or they will be buying more groceries.

A couple days later they called me and said, “We took Blue Mustang’s money and those gift cards and went back to the grocery store. This time we bought some of the things we wanted not necessarily the things that we needed. We all wanted some ice cream and cookies.”

There is a lot of good things that happened this week. The families received a blessing and the people who gave got blessed also. The faith of the families is restored. God gets the Glory and the Victory. I am excited to see what the King of Kings has planned for next week.

Open Cross Blessing II

After we had breakfast on Saturday I had to meet with three undercover police officers at the Windsor King Soopers store. They came from Fort Collins and when I met them I also prayed for them. They then asked me what I was going to do now.

I said, “God is sending me to meet with two families in Denver because they need groceries bad.”

The undercover policeman asked, “What do you mean by that statement?”

I replied, “God sends me to families that are praying for a miracle in the area of groceries.”

The undercover policeman asked, “How do you know where to go?”

I replied, “I just go. Many times God will just tell me where the next turn is while I’m driving. I just follow his directions until we get there.”

The undercover policeman exclaimed, “Are you serious?”

I said, “Yes I am. God always brings me into the presence of needy families praying.”

He exclaimed, “Now, that is incredible. I want to be able to hear God’s voice like that.”

I replied, “The number one rule is that you have to listen. If you are not listening you will never hear him speak.” At that moment both of the undercover policeman started crying. They turned to me, prayed for me and then left.

I started heading towards Denver and God guided me to that field where the open cross is located. He brought me here a few months ago. I began to drive down the road towards the cross. I could see two families there praying in the distance. (I found out later that the husbands were brothers). They had already been here one and a half hours before I arrived. They had been worshiping God with music. I made sure that I did not have my outside speakers on because I did not want to disturb their prayers. As I approached them, I carefully parked my pickup and waited until they finished praying. As soon they stood up, I got out of my pickup to go meet them. One dad immediately complemented me on my pickup on how nice it looked. I said, “It does not belong to me.”

With a puzzled look he said, “It doesn’t?”

I said “No, it belongs to my boss.”

Still with a puzzled look he said, “Your boss!”

I replied, “Yes, his name is Jesus Christ.”

All of the sudden he began to laugh and said, “That is a good one.”

I then asked him, “Can I tell you what you guys were praying for?”

He then asked, “How would you know that?”

I replied, “Because God told me what you were praying for. You were praying for food because you are totally out.”

Their little girl Isabella asked, “Did you hear us? Because that is exactly what we were praying for. I don’t even have cereal.” (Like a typical young child they are either wanting cereal or ice cream.)

I then turned back towards the parents and said, “God told me that you guys needed food. He brought me here to help you. The guy who is responsible for all this is spirit led by God. He gives me money to bless people just like you to buy groceries. His name is Blue Mustang.”

Their little boy Ishmael said, “That is a car! That is definitely not a man!”

I replied, “That is the nickname the Latinos gave him.”

He interrupted, “The Latinos?”

I continued, “They are a gang from San Jose California.”

Ishmael then asked, “Are they mean?”

Before I had a chance to answer him his parents interrupted me and asked, “So God brought you here just to give us food?”

I said, “Yes, that is the only reason why I am here.”

The husband shared, “We were praying for food while we were driving. We saw this cross here. I like to kneel before a cross because of what Jesus Christ did on that cross for me. I wanted to kneel before God to give him all my troubles. I am setting everything before the altar. We cannot handle what is going on right now we want to give everything to him. We are asking God for help.”

The other husband Jaden said, “We were not going to move from this spot until God answered our prayer. We do not care if it would’ve been all day and all night. He brought us here to pray.”

I said, “God has answered your prayer. You poured your heart out to him. You did not just give him a one minute prayer but you faithfully worshipped him and prayed for a miracle. You continued honoring him until he answered your prayer.”

Up to this point I still had not shown any money but Isabela said, “We need to thank you and Blue Mustang for coming here and helping us.”

I was surprised when she said that. Usually the parents bring this up. But she was understanding the significance of people helping people. Isabela began praying, “I do not know who Blue Mustang is but I think that is a cool name. Bless him tenfold for everything he has done to help families like us. Bless Mr. Sonny for bringing the money to us. Protect him as he ministers to gangs today. Amen!”

This prayer came from an eight-year-old girl. She learned everything from her parents by listening to them pray. If she continues in this path, Isabella is going to be quite a prayer warrior.

I then reached into my pocket and pulled out the money. I gave each family $140. Both families began to cry as they saw the money laying in their hands. They then said, “We are going to use this money for God. We are not going to get what we want but we are only going to get those things that we need.”

Isabela then asked, “Mr. Sonny, do you want to go grocery shopping with us?” I just cannot say no to that. We all jump back into our cars and headed to a King Soopers store that was near where we were at.

I went into the store with both families. The manager noticed that we were such a large group and was interested in what we were up to. He began to follow us around the store at first then left.

We were walking down one of the aisles when I noticed one of the girl employees putting stock on the shelves. She looked at me and noticed my hoodie and said, “God Over gangs! That message is powerful! So you must minister to gangs.”

I confirmed that I did.

Isabela then said, “Yeah and he has this friend who helped us with money because we don’t have anything to eat at home. They call him Blue Mustang.”

She said, “That is really a cool name.”

Isabela replied, “Yes, I know.”

She then said, “God bless you guys” and walked away with her cart.

We continued shopping until we had two carts filled with groceries. Both families tried to figure out to the dime what to buy so they did not go over their budget. I was there just in case they did go over. I would cover the rest.

The manager then came over and whispered something into the ear of the girl at the cash register. The girl we met earlier in the aisle reported to the manager what was happening. (All of the employees of this store keep a watch out for families in need.) The manager then left. The cashier said, “I will just ring both of these carts up together.” She finished checking out the one cart then she pulled up the second cart and continued on tallying the groceries. The checker then said, “All of your groceries have been paid for. We are all Christians at the store and we are always on the lookout for families in need. That is the reason why we paid for your groceries.”

Both families began crying again as they received another miracle. The manager came over to us and looked at the families. He said, “That money that Blue Mustang gave you, just use it to buy gas or go out for ice cream later. But we are taking care of your groceries at this store today.”

It is interesting that when we stay faithful to God that pleases him. They so trusted that he was going to do something today that they continued to worship and pray. God honored that by multiplying the blessing. I finally saw their bill and they must have miscalculated. I was watching them as they were trying to keep track of how much everything costs and was surprised when it was over that much. It was over $400.

That girl in the aisle saw what they were buying and doubled up on on several items. God put it in her heart to get those items. That is the reason why they were so far off. God already knew what he was going to do. That manager was an extremely interesting individual. When we walked in he was really kind. He asked us how we were doing and to enjoy shopping. I felt he already was suspicious and began to realize. That girl stocking the shelves was a plant to find out more of what was going on. Somehow he sensed that these families were in need. It was also strange that the girl who was stocking shelves then all of a sudden I saw her with a grocery cart putting items in it.

I began to wonder what she was up to. She is a teenager and I usually see them put in items like chips and junk food. But this looked like all serious food that one would feed their families. I even noticed that a ribeye steak even showed up in their cart.

We all went outside the store where I prayed over all the families. Both families then prayed over me. They even anointed my truck and prayed over it. Isabela then said, “I am going to pray over you that gang members do not hurt you anymore.” I told her about Blue Mustang’s prayer that he made over me. Isabela then said, “God is listening. He is for real. He is not dead. He is alive to take care of you. Keep your eyes on Jesus, Sonny.”

After hearing that from her, I said to myself “I think she’s going to be a pastor someday.” We said our good byes and I headed off to witness to the gangs.

Thank you God for adding families to your ministry.

Ghetto King Soopers Blessing

God sent me to the ghetto in Denver again where I have been before. The reason why they call it a ghetto is because it is not a normal part of being in Denver. It’s like you either belong here or you don’t. The people either except you or they may hurt you. You definitely do not want to be here at night. The only reason why I’m even here is because God sent me here. He heard the prayers of needy families. When you are obeying God, he will always protect you especially if he has more work for you to do in the future. I’ve never seen God use dead people to accomplish his will. So I am learning to trust in my King’s ability to protect me in all situations.

I pulled into the King Soopers parking lot and I could hear some people that just started singing. They were singing the words to “Amazing Grace”. Their voices were beautiful. At this moment God said, “Sonny, play ‘Amazing Grace’ on your speakers.”

I found the song on my phone. This happens to be one of my favorite songs. I turned the external speakers on my pickup on and began playing “Amazing Grace”. As the music began to play, the people heard it and just stopped singing. They immediately started over from the beginning. They were excited to have music to be able to sing with. With the music playing, they even sang louder. The people there just began to worship God just like they would if they were in church. They all raised their hands praising God to the words of the song. As I watched them sing I noticed that they begin to circle around two families with their kids. They all began laying hands on both families. God then said, “Sonny, those are the families that I want to bless today. They need help.”

I was about ready to get out of my pickup but God said, “Wait! Just continue to watch.” After the song finished playing, one of the guys asked me if I could play that song again. I confirmed that I would and started playing it again. Everyone again started worshiping God to the song “Amazing Grace”. I played the song three more times. I silenced my stereo and all the families began hugging each other. I turned off my pickup and went out to meet them. Everyone there assumed that God had sent me there today for them.

They said, “You know what our King is – a way maker. He can shift things anytime he feels like it. We are believing in a miracle. Like all of us are hurting in this neighborhood. But God sent you here for us to receive a miracle.” They paused for a moment then said, “That sound system you have on your pickup is amazing. Could you tell us about you?”

I said, “I have a ministry but I am not the only one who’s in it. I minister to the gangs in the city and all over the United States. My King also has me minister to people on the streets. But God has given us a new ministry which also is getting huge. Both Blue Mustang and I are involved with this one.”

At that moment I was interrupted by the little girl Savannah who exclaimed, “Blue Mustang, that’s a car! So you have a ministry with a car.” At that moment everybody started roaring with laughter.

I said, “No, that’s his nickname the Latinos gave him. He’s from San Jose California. They gave him that name because he drives a Blue Mustang just like the leader does.”

Savanna replied, “That makes sense.” She then came towards me and asked, “Can I hold your hand Mister?” I confirmed that it would be okay for her do that.

Her parents then looked at her and asked, “Why do you want to hold his hand?”

She replied, “He just loves Jesus. I want to be next to him at this moment.” I was about ready to cry but I kept my composure.

Leroy said, “What is the miracle? Why did Blue Mustang send you here?”

I said, “Actually God brought me here. But Blue Mustang provided money for two families so they could buy groceries.” At this moment I heard the loudest hallelujah I’ve ever heard. The whole crowd began shouting “Praise you, Jesus”. The crowd has a certain style when they praised the Lord that is encouraging. They continued praising Jesus as loudly as they could. They kept thanking him for answering their prayer.

I found out that they were here worshiping God 45 minutes even before I arrived. As we continued talking about the goodness of our King, the neighborhood began taking notice. Everyone tries to watch out for each other in this area. That is one thing that makes living here special. How many people do you know that look out for other people. I notice a lot of this goes on with these families whom God blesses.

People started coming over to us. One family said, “We were here two weeks ago. When we saw that red pickup sitting here by this crowd, we knew that another miracle was taking place today. We had to come over and see what it is. We know that God brings you here.” The family then said, ” Sonny, this is my mom and my dad. They want to accept Jesus Christ. We were listening to you playing “Amazing Grace” from your pickup.” They paused then said, “Dad you tell him!”

The dad then took over and said, “It is time for me now to give my heart to Jesus Christ. I noticed that you were having a prayer meeting over here and I told my family that we should go over there. I want to turn my life over to Jesus Christ. ” At this moment he gave his heart to Jesus Christ.

Leroy still was not sure if I was serious. He looked directly at me, then asked, “You brought money so we could buy groceries?”

I confirmed that I did.

Samuel the other dad said, “God is faithful. God told us to come here and worship him first then we could ask for a prayer request. That is the reason why we came. We did it in front of the grocery store because we had to be specific with what we wanted. It’s just like if we wanted a cheeseburger, we would have to go to Burger King because they grill them there.”

(I started laughing when he gave the analogy of the cheeseburger. I told Blue Mustang to meet me at one of the other fast food restaurants for a burger. He mentioned that we could go across the street to have it flame broiled. Blue Mustang’s famous words were, “I bet you would rather have a flame broiled burger over a fried one” as he pointed towards the Burger King restaurant across the street where they do flame broil burgers.)

Samuel continued speaking and said, “If you want something, you gotta go to the source. Then ask God to not only help you but to bless you too. If it’s his will, he will do it. If it does not happen today, he will definitely do it another day. We came here because we needed groceries. So we faithfully came here. When you pulled up Sonny and began playing that music for Amazing Grace for us to worship, we knew that God was behind it.”

I was thinking about how well they could hold a tune without music. They did an amazing job praising God with the music to that song.

Leroy then said, “Even if it’s five dollars we will still be able to buy some bread. It doesn’t matter how much it is.”

I reached into my pocket and pulled out my wallet and said, “Here’s $140 for each one of you.”

Both families started crying as I laid the money into their hands. These families were very appreciative. They firmly believed that this was a tremendous amount of money.

Leroy who was all choked up said, “This is definitely enough to get what we need to get by.”

At this moment the manager Jerome showed up. Jerome said, “I just love it when you guys show up and worship in front of my store. It makes me so happy. I wanted to come out on Friday to meet you guys but I had too much book work to do. I cracked the window in my office just so I could hear you sing ‘Amazing Grace’. It really sounded good when this guy shows up with the music.”

This is the third time that these families have done this. They came yesterday on Friday and a week ago.

Jerome then looked at me and said, “You came here to bless these families here today didn’t you?”

I replied, “Blue Mustang and I were both sent here by God. This is a new ministry to give money to people who need food. God put that in Blue Mustang’s heart to do that for people. God then sends me to where the families are in need. As I drive to Denver, God always guides me to where I need to go. I usually never come to this part of town. I minister to gangs 12 blocks to the east from this area. I didn’t even know that there was a King Soopers here but he is bringing me here again to this same store to bless families.”

The manager reached into his back pocket and pulled out a black booklet. The manager said, “In this booklet are the names of people with how much money they owe me. Some people come to me and say I need to get groceries but I don’t have quite enough to pay for all of them. Could I pay you after Friday? And on Friday or Monday they will come and stop by and pay me. I tell them it is okay for people to do that because I am here to help them.” He then looked back to the families and asked, “Do you guys need groceries too?”

Savanna still holding my hand said, “Blue Mustang gave $140 to us and $140 to the other family. Now we can buy groceries.”

At this moment the manager began crying. He then said, “So somebody gave you money just to bless families?”

I said, “Not just any family but the families that God has chosen.”

So Jerome reached into his own wallet and exclaimed, “I am going to match Blue Mustang.” The manager then handed each family $140. He then said, “I want your names so I can put them in my book. In the future, if you guys need food, come and talk to me. We can get you some groceries to get you by for a week. And then we will go from there.”

A lot of cars started lining up while Jerome was standing outside with us. The people began jumping out of their cars and began paying off their bills that Saturday. Jerome looked at me and said, “This has never happened before. They usually come on Monday to pay up.”

The neighborhood continued handing him money as Jerome began scratching their names off his book for money owed. Jerome then looked at me again and said, “Sonny this is a miracle. Thanks for coming here today and showing me that God is real.”

Savanna tugged on my hand and said, “Do you want to go shopping with us Mr.?”

I said, “Let’s go.” So I locked my pickup up and went into the store with the families. They needed a lot of groceries but they only picked up what they needed. After their list was filled, the families went to the checkout and paid for everything. We then went outside the store back to our vehicles. When I approached my pickup, there was a little boy throwing a big fit and crying as loud as he could. His parents were trying to calm him down as they were standing right next to my pickup. They were trying to pull him away from my front tire. The little boy had his arms wrapped around my tire like it was his.

I continued walking towards my pickup and asked, “What’s going on here?”

The little seven-year-old boy stopped crying and said, “I have always wanted to drive in a monster pickup. I told my dad that I want to drive this pickup.”

His embarrassed dad said, “Ever since I took him to that monster pickup show here in Denver, he has always wanted to be in one of those pickups. My son just loves your pickup.”

While his dad was speaking, God said, “Sonny, take him on a pickup ride and let him drive.”

I immediately said, “Let’s just go for a ride.”

The dad said, “Are you serious?”

I confirmed that I was. His wife and daughter climbed into my backseat while dad sat in the passenger seat. I started the pickup and motioned to the parents to have their son sit on my lap. I put my seat as far back as I could and still reach the pedals to give him room. I then asked him what his name was.

He said that his name was “Billy.”

I asked him what his middle name was and he said, “I’m kind of embarrassed of it but it is Snoopy.”

I then said, “Snoopy, do you want to drive my pickup?” You should’ve seen his eyes get real big when I mentioned that. I then said, “You sit here right on my lap and you will be in charge of the steering wheel. We are going to drive around the park and take a cruise.”

Billy said, “Are you really serious?” I confirmed that I was. I never would’ve done this but God made sure there was no traffic around at all in this area. We did not go real fast as we navigated out of the parking lot and began driving around the park.

The mom in the back was taking pictures of her son driving my pickup. Man you should see the expression on Billy’s face as he was maneuvering my pickup around the park.

I then asked Billy, “What’s your favorite song?”

Billy replied, “You probably don’t have it but it is from the Newsboys that Jesus is not dead.”

I immediately found the song “God Is Not Dead” on my phone and began playing it. I played it on all of my speakers so everyone can hear it even in the park.

As Billy continued driving, he noticed that his friends were playing in the park. I rolled the window down and Billy started making hand signals to his friends.

They yelled back at him and said, “Billy what are you doing?” and they began running towards him as they saw him drive the pickup. We drove around that park three times and headed back to the grocery store.

I then asked, “Billy how does it feel to travel in a monster pickup?”

Billy replied, “One of these days when I get older, I am going to buy me one of these. I would then go pick up my best friends and we will go for a ride.”

I then shared with Billy that God told me to let him drive my pickup. Billy’s parents were Christians and I prayed over Billy’s family. After I finish praying I then asked, “Billy, are those your best friends there at the park?”

He replied, “We used to have a picnic together at the park. We would only have crackers and peanut butter.”

I then asked, “That was your entire picnic. You did not have anything else?”

He confirmed that was it.

I then said, “Why don’t you meet me over here at the park at noon and we will have a picnic. I will bring the food.”

Billy then asked, “Are you going to bring cheeseburgers from Burger King?”

I then confirmed that I would do that.

The dad and mom then asked, “Are you serious?”

I replied, “Yes I am. Tell Billy to have his friends come too.”

Billy was becoming ecstatic just thinking about having cheeseburgers for a picnic at the park with his friends. I met Billy’s family at noon in the park. He and his friends all sat down together to eat cheeseburgers from Burger King. Billy will remember this day forever.

Faith of One Mom Brings Blessing

God had me go to the King Soopers in Commerce City, Colorado. When I pulled into the parking lot, I noticed a bunch of people praying for a woman. Soon her family showed up with another family. The kids went to their mom and put their arms around her. Soon they began crying. I asked, “God, what is going on here.”

He replied, “These are the families that need groceries.”

I asked, “But she was here by herself?”

My King did not answer my question but said, “Go talk to them and stop asking questions. Sonny, just do it!”

I headed over there with my Bible and asked them how I could pray for them? One of the husbands whose name is Stephan introduced me to his wife Rachel. I then introduced myself. Rachel has been here since seven this morning. She said, “God told me to come here and wait for a miracle. Both of our families need groceries. No one wanted to come here with me. That did not stop me. If none of you want to go with me, I am going by myself. We have faith to walk by faith and not by sight.” Rachel repeated herself and said, “God said to come here so I am doing it.”

Her family reminded her that she has done this twice already and that nothing has happened. Rachel said, “I am not going to stop. It is in God’s timing and not mine.” From 7 AM this morning, she was praying until I arrived. Her aunt and uncle came later and were praying with her. But they made no effort to help her out of their families situation. Rachel then thanked them for their prayers and said, “There is another man coming here to help us and it is not you guys, no offense. God did not put it in your hearts to help us. I am staying here until he shows up.”

It was Rachel’s faith that brought the miracle to the families. I then prayed with her and said, “God has heard your prayers and they have been answered. Let me tell you by whom. First it was by God who started it by putting into Blue Mustang’s heart to bless needy families.”

Rachel’s little girl Maria exclaimed, “Blue Mustang! Isn’t that a car? A car can talk to you!”

I said, “No, he is a human being. The Latinos gave him that nickname because he has a blue Mustang.”

Maria said, “Well, that makes sense.” She then asked, “What is the miracle, Mister?”

I said, “It is money to help you buy groceries.”

Rachel came up to me and hugged me like I was her sister. Her sister, Virginia, came over to speak with Rachel and said, “The next time God tells you to come here and wait for a miracle, I am coming with you. I just witnessed a miracle that just happened here today. I am witnessing faith in action.” Everyone was quiet for a moment, then Virginia said, “I guess that we need to sit down and make a grocery list.”

Rachel said, “Yes, we need to make a list.” Here they were ready to make a list and I have not even told him how much money that I was going to give them. Even here they were stepping out in faith. I took out my wallet and gave each family $140. Rachel said, “Oh my gosh! I see chili dogs in action right now.” Rachel was definitely craving chili dogs. Even something as simple as a chili dog was more than they could afford.

All of a sudden I could hear this rattling behind me. I turned around to look and I saw four teenagers each pushing a grocery cart. They were pushing the carts on the sidewalk coming directly toward us. I said, “Good morning, Lydia!” Lydia is one of the employees at this store. I have gotten to know her since I’ve been here before.

Lydia said, “I saw your monster truck in the parking lot and I went and told my coworkers that something was going down. We saw you praying for this family when you got here. We all went over to the break area and began praying over you and the families. We decided since we got a nice bonus this year that we want to help families with the bonus we received. We want to buy them groceries.”

Rachel went over and began hugging all these teenage girls for what they did. Those teenagers have learned about giving. This is the third time that they have done something like this. The husbands just stood there watching while everyone began crying. Lydia then spoke up and said, “Let’s go grocery shopping guys.”

Maria asked, “Can I ride in the cart.” She then looked at me and asked, “Do you want to go grocery shopping with us?”

I said, “Yes, let’s go!” We all went inside of the store and began shopping. I watched the families shop and they were not just throwing anything into their carts. They were carefully trying to get only the things they needed. Both families did fill up the four carts and proceeded to the checkout line. All four teenagers were planning on paying for the family’s groceries. The manager was running the register. He put in his managers card and it displayed his name on the machine. He is capable of giving discounts. I do not know how much it was. The teenagers were crying as the manager was scanning the items in their carts. They looked at me and said, ” Now we know why you and Blue Mustang do this. When you do this. your heart just explodes with joy. ”

I said, “It does relate to being a giver and not being a taker. It is about being a blessing and not just hanging onto what you’ve got.”

These families needed a blessing today. The families were put in the situation because the husbands businesses were shut down by covid. When you’re not working, the money stops coming in. Like most of the families that I have been coming to help, they seem to have enough to pay for rent and utilities but that takes everything and they sacrifice groceries to make sure they have protection for their families.

I was totally impressed with how Rachel came to the store today. She was not going to move from this store until the miracle happened. I went over and hugged Rachel and said, “Whatever you do, do not lose that faith you had in coming here today. This is the kind of faith that God wants. To have the faith of a child that when God says he will move a mountain, the child will watch waiting for the mountain to move. They don’t have all the skepticism that adults do.

Rachel then said, “You and Blue Mustang have strengthened my faith even more today.”

I said, “It was God who restored your faith. We’re just messengers in God’s Kingdom. He is the one that does it all and gets credit for it.”

Rachel then said, “I wish I could bottle you up and take you with me.”

I said, “Here is my ministry card. You can call me anytime you need to.”

Maria said, “We are going to make up our own ministry cards. But we are not sure what that will be.” As soon as they create one, they plan to send me one of their cards.

Most of the families I have dealt with support each other from the very beginning. Rachel stood alone as her family was against what she was doing. Her faith brought the miracle. It was also interesting that none of their immediate family would help them out financially either. After today, they’re going to see God in a new way. God gets the Glory and the Victory. He has more families for us to visit in the new year.

Isaiah 41:10 Brings a Blessing

I went down to the Aurora King Soopers. I parked my pickup in the parking lot and began to wait. 35 minutes had already passed. I started to speak to God and said, “I parked where you asked me to park. 35 minutes have passed and I still have not seen anybody. I am trying to be patient.”

God replied, “Sonny just be at peace. Just sit down and rest.”

I was just sitting there in my pickup and looking at every vehicle that was driving by and in my mind I was saying to myself “Are these the ones?” but this did not help. So I opened my Bible and began reading Psalms. I was getting totally involved with reading the book of Psalms and I never noticed what was going on around in my surroundings. I soon heard a knock at my pickup door. I turned my head and noticed that a whole family with three kids was standing beside my pickup as they continued knocking on my door. I immediately got out and asked, “How can I help you?”

They replied, “We parked alongside your pickup and noticed the scripture Isaiah 41:10.

‘Do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.’

that you had posted on your passenger door. When we saw that we walked around your pickup as you were sitting there. We knocked on your door because we figured that you were sent here by God to help us.”

I said, “Yes, I was sent here by God.”

Their little girl Rebecca said, “We do not have any cereal at all. We don’t have anything for sandwiches. We are totally out of peanut butter and jelly.” She continued talking about different things and she finally finished up saying, “We don’t even have any paper towels when we make a mess.”

The parents then said, “When we saw that Scripture on your pickup, we told ourselves that this was totally amazing. That Scripture is a testimony. Just driving around with the Scripture on the door like that is testimony at every light you stop at. People have nothing else to do but look over and see that. It just blesses them.”

I replied, “God told me to put that Scripture on my door like that. It is to help people like you said. I personally may not be able to witness to them but that Scripture does. I had nothing to do with putting that on my pickup. God gets the entire glory for that.”

The wife said, “I noticed that you have a breakfast burrito next to you.”

I said, “Yes I do. I am taking some of them to the gang members today. They are pretty spicy but do you guys want some?”

The parents replied, “Yes, we will take one.”

The kids took one bite but it was too spicy for them. The parents thoroughly enjoyed the burritos. Another man pulled up while we were speaking. It was the wife’s brother. He went to his sister and said, “I talked to mom and dad but they have not gotten their monthly check yet. They cannot help us until they receive their check.”

I looked at her brother and asked, “Does your family need groceries?”

Her brother replied, “Yes, we do need groceries.”

I said, “Well let me tell you about Blue Mustang. God uses him to bless families in need to buy groceries.”

Rebecca interrupted me and said, “Blue Mustang! That’s a car!”

Her older brother confirmed to her that is a car. Rebecca who was really confused then said, “You know a car that can talk. A car can actually talk to you?”

Before I could answer, she felt bad for interrupting me and apologized. She then wanted me to continue on with what I was about to say about Blue Mustang. I told them everything about Blue Mustang and said, “He always gives me money to allow needy families to buy groceries. It is not to buy cigarettes or liquor. This is strictly for food. If this money is used for anything else God will not honor them.”

The parents replied, “We are all Christians. We don’t smoke or drink. But we definitely could use a miracle right now.”

Rebecca then asked, “Do you have a gift card for us right now?” She definitely knew about gift cards.

I said, “No, I don’t have any gift cards but I do have $140 for each family so you can buy groceries.” By this time even the men began crying.

Rebecca exclaimed, “$140! We are millionaires! Now we can go buy some baloney, bread, mayonnaise and mustard. We can have sandwiches for lunch.”

I could tell that they were hungry and anxious to get something to eat. I said, “Let me pray for you guys first.”

The husbands shared, “Our wives have a deeper faith than we do. They walk by faith and not by sight. We have a tendency to walk by sight. We need to be like our wives and walk in faith like they do.”

I said, “Let’s pray about that to. Without faith you cannot please God.”

As I began praying for these men, they both began crying. I still haven’t pulled the money out. The wives began hugging me. I then said, “Let’s thank God for what he has provided for you.” I then reached in my pocket and gave them the money. That even brought more tears to everyone’s eyes as I laid the money into their hands..

A van with six elderly couples in it pulled up beside us. They were watching us and they saw us praying. They asked, “What are you guys praying about?”

Rebecca said, “Blue Mustang gave Mr. Sonny money to buy us groceries.”

One old lady exclaimed, “Blue Mustang!”

Rebecca said, “That is exactly what I said. Sonny knows a car that talks to him.” Rebecca then shared everything with the old couples that just happened. Rebecca was representing faith in the way she described everything. She had no problem believing our King is capable of doing everything. Rebecca then said, “My dad does not walk by faith. He just walks by sight. But my mom she walks by faith but not by sight. That is definitely a big difference between them. I don’t even believe in Santa Claus. It is all about Jesus Christ.”

This little girl just stole my heart the way she talked. She was only six years old but was saying so many profound things.

The little boy Samuel said, “When Jesus Christ came to the earth, he came as a baby. Why would God send his son as a baby?” Samuel is definitely trying to figure this one out. He then said, “It is just like when God sent Blue Mustang to us.”

By now all of the old couples have gotten out of the van and they said, “We live together in one of those retirement places and we came here to get some groceries. We have decided that we want to help you buy groceries today. We all want to pitch in. You can keep Blue Mustang’s cash for other things like gas. Or just to go get lunch someplace.”

One of the older gentleman said, “Yes, there is nothing like getting a charcoal broiled hamburger.”

These couples all live on a fixed income and they all pooled their money together in order to buy groceries today. God is going to honor them for doing that. They gave from themselves to see these families blessed. All of the old couples took them grocery shopping.

Rebecca asked, “Sonny, do you want to go grocery shopping with us?”

I said, “Yeah, let’s go and have some fun!”

All of a sudden time was not an issue. When God orchestrates something time does not even come into the equation. No matter how long it takes it is going to be worth it. Rebecca held my hand the whole time while we were shopping for groceries. Her parents said that she could let go of my hands. Rebecca said, “No way! He is my hero because he knows Blue Mustang.”

Samuel asked, “Can we get some ice cream?”

His mom said it would be okay but we just cannot get any ice cream right now or it will melt. We will have to get that at the very end.

Isn’t it interesting how God sends people out. Blue Mustang gave me $280 to take to Denver to bless two families in need. God then sends these older couples out to also bless the families. It is not as though $140 per family is not enough but God really does want to bless us. We get to experience it weekly so we know it’s true. Again, none of us on any given weekend even have an idea who or where God will send me. We walk in faith and know that he has somebody lined up for us to bless each week. He in turn brings other people into the area to do the same. This action of God strengthens our faith tremendously.

I found out later the families had parked there by the sidewalk and didn’t notice my pickup until they started walking towards it. It’s just a lot safer when you have kids to be able to walk on the sidewalk and not have to worry about anyone backing over them. But as they started walking towards the store, that is when they saw my pickup with the Scriptures printed on it.

Rebecca has more faith then most adults I know. And why is that? She pays attention to what her mom does. She has learned from watching her. When Rebecca saw her dad crying for the first time she said, “My dad has never cried ever! Jesus is real because I have seen my dad cry.” We were all standing together as she confessed this. God gets the Glory and the Victory.

I have learned myself just to walk by faith and not by sight. If I would have walked by sight every time the gangs pulled pistols on me, I would have taken off and run. I have learned that when God sends me on a mission it is to succeed and not fail. Even though the pistols are intimidating I put my full trust in my king. Now I need to learn to do that with my patience. After those 35 minutes past I was beginning to wonder if something really was going to happen. Even I need to continue building my own faith and let God control my time. Our God will continue to bring us more families because there are many out there who are hungry right now. They’re not only hungry for food but they are hungry for Jesus Christ and the word of God.

God Blessing People in the Ghettos

God sent me to the King Soopers store in what I consider the ghettos of Denver. This is a very dangerous place to hang out. You can even hear gunfire during the day. But there are hungry people even in these areas. Families are praying to our Heavenly Father for food. That is the reason why my King is sending me here today.

There was not a lot of activity going around the store just because of the danger involved of being there. I started looking for what might be considered a needy family. After I could not see a thing, I asked, “God, I am not seeing anybody here. What is going on?”

All of a sudden, a van drove into the parking lot. I thought maybe this was them. But it wasn’t. Then a family started coming towards the store. They were soon followed by a second family that was also walking to the store. I noticed that a little girl in the family was carrying a Bible. I made the assumption that they came from a Bible study or church. Both families then stopped and put their hands out. I had my window down and began listening to them as they started praying. They prayed, “Lord we need groceries. We need a miracle.”

I realized these are the families and said to myself, “Wow!”

The little girl prayed, “We need ice cream also.”

At this moment I began to cry. When you think about that any given day of the week I could go out and get ice cream. This was something these families could not even afford. I continued sitting in my pickup and listening until they finished praying. I then got out with my Bible and asked, “How can I pray for you guys?”

The little girl said, “We need a miracle today. You see we only have five slices of bread, one cheese slice and two slices of Bologna in the refrigerator.”

I replied, “Wow! I see that you need groceries. I want to tell you about what God is doing through a man whose name is Blue Mustang.”

A little boy there exclaimed, “That’s a car!”

I said, “Yes that is true but he drives a Blue Mustang. The Latinos gave him that nickname because he drives a Blue Mustang.”

He then said, “That is so cool! I want that nickname!”

His father then said, “So he gives you money to give to families to buy groceries. Is that what is happening?”

I said, “That is what he does but God chooses the families. I do not just drive around and hope that I will find somebody. God tells me exactly where to go. God brought me to this place today just strictly to bless you. I never come to this side of town because the gangs are seven blocks that way. I witness to gangs so I always go where they hang out.”

The father then said, “That is a miracle that you do that. The gangs need to hear about Jesus Christ also.”

As the father was speaking his daughter came over and held my hand. I still had my Bible in one hand as I was listening to her dad speak. I felt her hand grab hold of my other hand. I didn’t ignore her and said “Hi!”

The little girl said, “It looks like you could use somebody to hold your hand too.”

I wanted to cry but God kept me together. Because he wanted me to share Christ with them and talk more about the miracle God has for them.

Both families said, “If we could just have something to buy groceries.”

I said, “I have $280 with me to split between both of you. You can use this to go get the groceries that you need.”

Each family responded, “That is $140 each.” To them that was a lot of money for someone to give to them.

The little girl asked, “Can we buy ice cream now?” Her parents confirmed to her that they would get some.

The little boy asked, “Can we get some cereal and milk?” They too confirmed that they would get that. Just being able to buy ice cream, cereal and milk meant the world to these kids. I laid the money into the parents hands and they began crying. At this time the manager came out and asked, “What are you guys praying about?”

The manager was the large black man who looked like he worked out a lot. He was well-built and spoke like a gentle giant.

The little girl said, “Blue Mustang brought us money to buy groceries because we do not have any food at home.”

At this moment the manager started crying. The manager then used his left hand to reach into his pocket and pulled out some gift cards. He gave each family a gift card. He then said, “Each card has $200 on it. You guys go by groceries. Use the cash for bills or whatever else you may need. Jesus loves you and God is faithful.”

I said to myself this is so beautiful what’s happening right now. Both families hugged the manager then came up and gave me a hug. They said, “Thank you for what you did. You started a very awesome miracle.”

I said, “Yes we got to walk by faith and not by sight.”

The little girl said, “You got that right Mr.” as she reached out and gave me a big hug. At this moment all of them began praying for me. I already have told them about our ministry. They said, “You guys need prayer to do what you do.” After they finished praying, they went inside the store. I looked around and said to myself, “This part of town really needs Jesus Christ. God is definitely going to be bringing me back here again.

Vision Brings Blessing

It was Saturday and God sent me to the King Soopers on 144th Ave. I then parked my pickup and began watching. My eyes were feeling heavy and I felt like I wanted to take a nap. I said to myself, “The day hasn’t even begun yet. I need to stay awake.”

God said, “Why don’t you just lay your head back and rest. Just go ahead and take a nap.”

I then said, “I have to be awake so I can see the families come.”

God repeated himself, “Just lay your head back and relax. Just do it.”

I listened to him by laying my head back and closing my eyes. I began praying but I quickly fell asleep because I never remembered saying “Amen”. Soon I heard this knock at my door. I opened my eyes and looked over and I saw this young girl, whose name is Jennifer, knocking at my door. Her family was just right behind her standing there watching. I could see her dad talking to her but I could not make out what he said. While I rolled my window down, I asked, “How can I help you?”

Jennifer said, “You might think this is crazy mister. If it is, you can just roll your window back up. What I am about to tell you scared me. We were all sitting at home eating toast. That is all we had to eat. I was praying for food because we are hungry. God then showed me this vision of this huge red monster truck. Then I heard this voice that said, ‘He is the one that has the miracle for you. I have sent him to you.’ When I heard that voice, it just scared me to death. This is the first time I have ever heard God’s voice like this. I immediately went to my parents and told them about what God showed me. They said that it was a vision that God showed you. They then asked me where this place is at and I  told them it was here. This King Soopers is just down the street from where we live. I then said that we need to go now. That is why we are here now.”

Sometimes when experiencing fear, we don’t want to say anything to anyone. She overcame that fear and told her parents about what she saw. If she would’ve stayed quiet, they would’ve missed out on a blessing. She was bold and stepped out in faith to tell her parents, aunt and uncle everything that God showed her. Because of financial circumstances, both families lived in the same apartment. Both families also stepped out in faith as they got into a van and headed to this store.

Jennifer continued, “We were driving through the parking lot when I saw your truck and I told them that is the one that God showed me.”

Everyone stayed in the van as she spoke. But soon they were starting to work their way out to follow her.  After she then explained the vision to me, I got out of my pickup and said, “You were obedient enough to tell your family about God’s vision. You had the faith to come here. I have been waiting here because God sent me here. Not only that Blue Mustang has provided me with the money that God gave him to give to you so you can buy groceries.”

Jennifer exclaimed, “Blue Mustang! That’s a car!”

I said, “That is the name the Latinos gave him. That’s his name forever. Even our King in heaven calls him Blue Mustang. Whenever God tells me to pray for Blue Mustang or Terry Bird, I just do it.”

Jennifer exclaimed, “Terry Byrd!”

I said, “Yeah, he is related to Big Bird. He is a big guy.”

Jennifer said, “Are you serious that he’s related to Big Bird on Sesame Street?”

I said, “Yeah, that’s the one.” They all began to giggle. Just making them laugh makes them forget about the things they are going through in their life.

Jennifer then asked, “How much money did he give us?”

Her mom looked at her and said, “You know, that is rude. Why don’t you let him finish telling us what God has shown him and why God brought him here.” The mom paused then said, “Blue Mustang must be a Christian man.”

I said, “He has a heart for God’s kingdom.”

The minute I said that Jenifer started crying and said, “This is my first vision and it already has come true today.” She got her phone out and started writing notes on what just happened today. She took details about her vision, about me and Blue Mustang. She then asked, ” Would you pray for us. We need a miracle. If God brought you here. You must be a mighty man of God. We don’t know too many of them other than our parents.”

I now had a chance to pray for them. Their little boy came over and said, “My name is Luke but I like Lucas better. I think Lucas is cool.”

I asked, “Lucas, how can I pray for you?”

Lucas said, “Well my favorite song is ‘Jesus Loves Me This I Know’.” He stopped there.

I then asked, “So do you want to sing it.”

Lucas said, “Yes, that would be awesome!”

I said, “Let me find it on my phone and we can play it on the outside speakers on my pickup.”

Lucas exclaimed, “Do you really have speakers on the outside of your pickup.” I confirmed that I did and began to play it off my phone. We all started singing to that song. We did not realize it but in the next section of the parking lot, four old couples were listening to us sing that song. They continued to sit in their cars until we sang the entire song. Meanwhile, Lucas said, “Mister can you kneel down so I can place my hand on your heart. This is how my grandma prays for me.”

I got down on my knees and his little tiny hand pressed right into my heart. He prayed, “Thank you for Mr. Sonny and thank you for Blue Mustang and thank you for the miracle today because we can buy some cereal. In Jesus name. Amen.”

The little things like that for a child are important. Lucas knew how to pray. When Lucas finished praying, the old couples came over and said, “That is the most beautiful song for children ever. It really blesses me because I remember teaching it to little children in Sunday school.”

I began to cry as I began thinking about the impact that the song was happening to everybody here today. Jennifer then said, “Does that mean that we can now buy sandwich stuff? Because I love sandwiches.”

I said, “Yes” and I reached into my back pocket and pulled out my wallet. I handed $140 to each family. They said, “This is going to buy a lot of groceries. I can’t wait to go into the store and get the things that we need. The older couples then said, “Why don’t we go into that store and go shopping together so you can get the things you want. Not just the things you need.”

Lucas never met any of these people but he went up to the old couples and introduce himself to them. He said, “My name is Lucas.” He then looked at one of the gentlemen and said, “My grandparents live really far away. You look so much like my grandfather. Can I hold your hand?”

He said, “I will hold your hand Lucas. We will go to the store together and we will fill up these grocery carts.”

Those two ended up going by themselves to the store. Lucas was just talking up a storm with this man as they walked. I was not sure what they were saying.

I looked at Jennifer and asked, “What did your dad tell you when I first saw you?”

Jennifer replied, “He asked, ‘Are you sure this is the right truck.’ I then turned around and told him that this is the truck that I saw in my vision. God sent this truck here for us today. I am going to knock on the door.”

I was beginning to feel emotional as she shared this with me. The older couples then said, “Just keep the money that this man gave you for gas or just go out for ice cream tonight. We want to take care of your groceries today.”

Again, God multiplied the money that we gave this family. When we obey God and do what he says, we get to see the harvest of God. We all walked into the store together. I went to get a couple of donuts that were not for me and plastic bowls, cookies, and milk for my cooler. These are things that I am going to use to witness to gang members today. I was watching the families shop and saw that they were about done and started to head towards the cash registers. The manager then came around the corner and asked me, “Is that another couple that Blue Mustang blessed?”

I said, “Yes it’s those families right there.”

The manager then asked, “Who are the older people?”

I said, “They are going to buy their groceries.”

The manager then realized who they were and said, “My dad, he is such a character. Two or three times a month they come to the parking lot and look to see who they can bless. Sometimes they will come into the store and check out everybody’s grocery carts. If they discover that there’s not much in their carts, they will start asking questions. Those people, who are in need, usually will reveal themselves to them. And when they find that out, they tell them to turn their grocery carts around and fill them up because we are paying for their groceries.”

I found out that all of the old couples are very well-to-do and they are using the wealth that God has given them to help bless people. We can change people’s destiny all around us if we just listen to what God says. Sometimes it may look crazy but it will end up being fun. God gets the Glory and the Victory.

Amazing Grace Song Blessing

It was Friday the day after Thanksgiving. I had breakfast with Blue Mustang because it is a holiday. After we ate, he said, “I feel our King has two families that are hungry.” Our King had me go to the King Soopers on the west side of Denver where I normally go. I parked my pickup and waited. While I was resting, I started listening to “Kingdom Music”, “Young Bro” and “Holy Ground”. They are Christian rappers who write Christian music strictly for people like the gangs I witness to. It was not very long when God said, “Sonny, I want you to play Amazing Grace.”

I said, “Yes! That is my favorite song.” I started playing it and began worshiping God again. Whenever I worship God, I usually have my eyes closed. I did not see anything going on in my surroundings, but soon I heard this knocking on my door. I opened my eyes and looked out the windows but I could not see a thing. I sat up a little bit more in my seat then I noticed a little girl standing by my door. I opened my door and she said, “Mister, can you play that song a little louder? That is our favorite song at home.”

I said, “Yes, I will start the song over and play it louder. I turned the volume to a much higher level. I got out of my pickup and closed the door. It was definitely loud. The song continued to play as I watched the little girl walked back to her family. Her family began to sing along. They did not have a very good tone but they were just worshiping God. They did not care who was listening. They just continued to worship God. When the song finished, I turned it off. I then went over to speak to them. I said, “That sure is a powerful song.”

The husband said, “Not only is that a powerful song but that really brings peace to us. The grace of God is so faithful, he loves us, and we came here for miracle. God showed up when you started playing that song. That is a miracle. We came here because we are hungry. We do not have very much food. We came here to see if we could talk to the manager. We are going to see if we could buy groceries today and pay them back on Friday.”

I said, “Let me tell you about Blue Mustang and what God is put into his heart for families like you…”

There was only one family present at this time. A second car then pulled up as I was speaking. It was the wife’s sister. Both of the wives of each family were sisters. They too were in the same boat. He lost his job. The company he worked for went under. She said, “We came here today to pray with you. Maybe we can receive a miracle too.”

Her sister said, “Sonny was going to tell us about this guy Blue Mustang: in what God has put in his heart.”

I began to tell them about Blue Mustang and how God uses him to buy groceries for families in need. The little girl, Christina said, “He even walks barefoot even in the winter.”

I said, “Yes and he always wears shorts year-round.”

Christina replied, “That must be one tough dude.”

Christina began telling the other family about my pickup and how it would play “Amazing Grace” from the outside. She said, “He has this sound system that sounds so sick. I just love it.” You know this new generation sick means totally amazing. Christina then asked, “Mister can you play that song again?”

I climbed back in my pickup and restarted the song for them. I played the entire song again. This time it was different. The two sisters were the only ones singing. What came out of their mouths was beautiful. It was the husbands that were bad singers. The families then asked, “So was it Blue Mustang that sent you here to bless us?”

I said, “God gives money to Blue Mustang so I can give it to families who are hungry.”

They then said, “So you guys are a team from God.”

I said, “That is true but God has given Blue Mustang a heart of giving to bless families like you.”

Christina then said, “Not only is he rich here but he is rich in God’s Kingdom.” Everybody just looked at her and asked where she learned that. Christina said, “I learned that in Sunday school.” Her words were so profound that I began crying.

Christina then asked, “Mom, does that mean that we can grill some cheeseburgers?” That was Christina’s favorite meal.

Her mom said, “Yes, we will get some hamburger and cheese to make cheeseburgers.”

Christina then asked, “Can Sonny join us for lunch today to have cheeseburgers?”

Her mom then looked at me and asked, “Sonny, can you come and have lunch with us at our home?”

I said, “Yes, I can come. Give me an address so I can find you.”

It was now time to get the money out. I gave $140 to each family. They were totally blown away as I laid the cash on their hands. Christina then asked, “Are you going to go shopping with us?”

I replied, “Yes, let’s go shopping together.”

The family said, “Before we go shopping, we need to make a list of the things that we need so that we will be careful on how we spend this money.” So they made a list before we went into the store. We then walked into the store and began shopping. Of course the manager was watching us. She signaled with her hands pointing to her eyes and pointing to me that she has been watching what I’ve been doing and she disappeared. We kept shopping and the little kids asked if they could have some cereal. The parents confirmed that we could go get cereal.  They waited to get the milk to the very end. They carefully figured out what to buy so that way they would have enough money to pay everything.

We were halfway to the check out when the manager and four kids came over. They started handing out gift cards to the families. The kids said, “These are $50 gift cards that we want to give you.”

The manager said, “The staff did this all on their own. They went out and bought their own gift cards just to give them to you.” There was another $200 that was given to both families. The manager then gave $100 gift cards to each family. They put the cash that I gave them into their pockets and wanted to use the gift cards to buy groceries. The manager wanted to make sure they were blessed and said, “Go buy groceries that you want; not just what you need.”

They went shopping again and bought some more groceries and headed towards the cash registers. Those carts were really full. They now had the money to buy it all. We got into the checkout line and had the bill all tallied. There was this man whose name was Frederick and his wife’s was Edith that came to us. Edith said, “We are the aunt and uncle of the manager. She told us your story. We would like to buy the groceries for both of the families.”

I was beginning to get emotional as I began seeing how many times God has been working in these families lives today. Edith said, “You can use that money and those gift cards at another time. But we are buying your groceries today.” One of the wives spoke up and said, “We will do that. It would be nice to have some money in the bank.”  Edith paid for the groceries then reached into her purse and pulled out her checkbook and began writing. I had no idea what she was doing and I did not try to figure it out. The manager and I walked out with the families and we went out to their vehicles to help unload the groceries.

Before I made it to the vehicle, I noticed that the kids were whispering to each other. Soon they came and tackled me and had me rolling on the grass. I sure was having fun with their kids. I then brought the kids together and prayed over them. Frederick who I think was a retired pastor then prayed over me. Edith meanwhile folded up the two checks and gave one to each family. It was getting late and I needed to go. So before anyone left, everybody was giving each other a hug. Even the manager was hugging everyone. The manager and the four employees went back into the store to get back to work. I then looked at the families and said, “God heard your prayer. You came here praying and God heard every word you said. So in your obedience, by coming here, you can see what happened.”

Each one of the sisters unfolded their check and discovered that they were made out for $1000. Again I started crying. I seem to always get emotional when God is blessing families. Later I found out that Frederick and his wife every year always bless a family around Christmas time. They always give them $1000. Now it was time for me to leave the store and head to my first gang that I was going to meet. I was about to find out I was still not finished here.

As I was pulling out of the parking lot I noticed an old couple trying to get across the street. No one would let them cross. They were physically stranded on the crosswalk. Cars were driving in front and behind them. They were old enough they could not walk very fast. The walk sign did not give them enough time to cross the double street and the cars were not courteous to them. I decided to drive my pickup parallel to the crosswalk to block the whole street so nobody could get through. It did work. It forced people to stop so the old couple continued on. I continued to drive across the center barrier to block the other side of traffic so they could finish walking across the entire intersection. A police officer saw what I was doing and did not like it. He was a young police officer and we had not met yet. He stopped me and called my license plate in to the office. When the old couple saw what was going on, she said, “You can’t give him a ticket! If it wouldn’t have been for him, we never would’ve made it across the street. Are you crazy or something?”

The officer said, “Mam,  we cannot let anyone do this. Driving sideways on the street is illegal.”

She angrily said, “I don’t care. He was being a gentleman. If you are giving him a ticket I want your name and badge because I am going to turn you in.”

I looked at her and said, “It is okay. It was worth the ticket.”

So the officer went back to the car his car with my license and registration and submitted my information. He was sitting in his patrol car a few moments. He then came back to my pickup. He apologized and said, “I am sorry Sonny. The people at the office told me who you are and what you do for this community. They told me to leave you alone.” He really felt bad. The fact that he was just a rookie, he has not learned everything yet. He then said, “I was with a partner for six months but this is my first time going solo.”

I said, “It is okay. You are forgiven. I did break the law and I wasn’t supposed to do that.”

He said, “Yeah man! You are one of those guys that can break the law and we will let it go.”

We signed off and I began to leave. The old couple signaled me to pull over. They wanted to talk to me to see what happened. I found a safe place to pull over and turn on my hazard lights. I then asked them what they wanted. She said, “Did he give you a ticket?” So I told her what happened and she said, “Wow! That is pretty awesome.”

I asked, “Where you guys going?”

They responded, “We are going to the King Soopers. It’s just down the road.”

I said, “That’s about eight blocks from here.”

She said, “Yes, that’s our exercise for the day.”

I said, “I can take you there. Even though my pickup is tall, I can still help you get inside.”

She again confirmed, “No, this is our walk for the day. It’s okay; but thanks anyway. That intersection is the hardest part of our walk.”

They then prayed for me and started walking again. They had shared with me that they always stop for coffee on the way to the store. I noticed that there was a Starbucks close by just ahead of them. I stopped there to get each one of them a cup of black coffee.  I remember them telling me about liking black coffee. I walked into the store and asked the girl behind the counter for two cups of black coffee. I am buying coffee for an older couple. They are coming this way on the sidewalk. The girl behind the counter said, “An older couple? Are they very tall?”

I said, “No, they are fairly short.”

She knew who I was talking about. She then said, “They always stop here for coffee before they make their walk to the store.” She then handed me two black coffees and said “No charge.”

I then pulled into a parking lot that was pretty close to where they were walking. I walked up to them and handed them the coffee. They said, “You got us two cups of coffee!” I nodded my head. She then asked, “How much do we owe you?”

I said, “When I told the girl at the coffee shop who they were for, she would not charge me anything.”

She then said, “Yeah that’s Maggie. She never charges us for coffee. She just never lets us pay for coffee.”

They continued walking down the sidewalk to the store drinking their coffees. I thanked God for what happened today and headed back to my pickup. It is time to pray with some gang leaders who gave their hearts to Jesus Christ. I just love it when our King blesses families as they pray to him. Just remember you are just as valuable to our King as these families. If you are financially strapped because of circumstances that you did not create, do as they do by asking our King and expect a miracle.

Little Bird Blessing

God had me go to the east side of Denver. He had me go to a King Soopers that  I’ve never been to before.  The store was in the southeast Quarter of Denver. It was a real nice store. I went and parked where God told me to. I then began to question God and asked, “What am I doing here. This looks like a pretty rich neighborhood. So why am I here?”

God said, “No Sonny! There is a family that is coming. Just sit right here.”

So I continued to sit where He told me to wait. Soon a minivan showed up. A little girl got out of the van and starts playing with her dolls on the grass. I found out later that her name was Lydia. It was not that warm outside but I guess she just wanted to do something outside. I continued watching her. A little bird landed next to her. It picked up a piece of bread that was near her and tried to fly away with it but it was too heavy. So the bird ate it there. She began folding her hands  I was still far enough away that I did not know what she was up to. God still has not told me what to do. Soon there was a station wagon that pulled up. There was another family in that car. The parents climbed out of the vehicle. There a little boy got out with them. They pulled out what appeared to be a grocery list. I noticed that the wife grabbed her purse and she pulled out something that look like anointing oil. They laid the list out on the hood of the van. She opened the bottle then put a drop on that piece of paper. The only time I had ever seen something like that was last Saturday when another family whom God blessed, anointed their grocery list. After she put her bottle away everyone gathered around and prayed over it. It was now time for me to go talk with them. I grabbed my Bible and headed over their way. Lydia saw me coming first and got up. Then she asked, “Are you a preacher or something because you have a Bible?”

I said, “Yes, I minister to gangs and to people on the streets. I saw you praying. What were you praying about?”

Lydia said, “There was a piece of bread laying there where I was playing. A little bird came to get the bread. The bird tried to fly away with the bread but it was too big. I was just thanking God for providing food for that little bird.”

Lydia was eight years old and she was thanking God for that food the bird ate.

The parents confirmed with me that they anointed the grocery list that they were going to share together. It was a small list but it was to get food to last for a week.

I said, “I have to tell you what God is doing. Blue Mustang, whom the Latinos gave that nickname, provides money for people like you to buy groceries.”

They asked, “God tells blue Mustang to give money to families so they can have groceries?”

I said, “It is not for liquor or smokes. It is for food to feed your families. That is what the money is intended for and nothing else.”

They said, “We are all Christian families and we don’t do that kind of stuff. We are praying for a miracle today because we are really hungry. We were going to come here at 9 o’clock but God said to wait till 10:45.”

When I left from eating breakfast with blue Mustang, I came directly here and I was just a couple minutes early. Blue Mustang told me that I should get going because there is a family waiting right now to be blessed. It was 9 AM when he said this. We were running a little bit behind schedule but God knew that. That is the reason why he had the family wait until 10:45 so I would have enough time to get there.

I separated the money and gave $140 to each family. They looked at me and said, “All of this for us!” To them it was like the world. They asked me to go shopping with them and I obliged. We went into the store and they began buying those things that they needed. They were being careful to stay within their budget. After they picked up the things that they could buy, we headed to the front of the store to check out.

The manager comes up to us and asked, “Are you going to go on a picnic?”

Lydia said, “No, we can’t afford that. This food has to last us a week.”

The manager started crying after Lydia revealed what was going on. This manager has a real tender heart. He saw a need and said, “You are not going to pay for any of it.”

The parents weren’t sure exactly what they heard but Lydia asked, “Does that mean I can go get cookies?”

They did not have any desserts of any kind in their cart because they were trying to be careful. The manager then said, “You know what! Why don’t you guys go shopping again but get things that you want this time. Then come back here and see me. I will take care of it. You keep that money that Sonny gave you and buy something else like gas.”

Isn’t it interesting when people see people getting blessed how they want to get in on the action. Lydia kept talking about blue Mustang and how he provided a miracle for us. Lydia then said, “We are moving too fast. We have to thank God for what he has done.”

I can tell that Lydia was a prayer warrior. She then reached out her little hands to make a circle to pray. Lydia’s dad began praying for what just happened then Lydia finished up and said, “God thank you for providing food for the little bird.”

The manager was listening to them pray and he began to cry as they prayed. He felt like he needed to leave the scene but he quickly said, “Just have fun shopping.”

The families got two more carts to put the bathroom stuff and nonfood items in. They then brought all their carts up to the front of the store to check out. They asked the manager, “Is this okay? Is this too much.”

The manager then said, “If you need to fill more carts it is up to you. I am here to take care of you.”

The assistant manager was also listening in on what was going on and said, “You are not going to do all this blessing by yourself. I am going to help with this blessing.”

The kids working in the checkout area asked, “Are we blessing somebody today?”

The manager said, “Yes we are buying these families groceries. They don’t have anything at home.”

The kids then said, “We want to be part of this blessing also.”

So the four kids that were working up front went back to their lockers to get some money. They split their money up between the two families. The families began crying because all these people were coming to their aid to bless them. There was a lot of commotion going on in the store and people were starting to ask questions. The staff said, “This family does not have any food and blue Mustang started by giving them some money. We just want to bless them and help out.”

One of the store patrons asked, “Do your vehicles need gas? I will meet you outside and fill them for you if you do. You just drive over to the gas pumps and I will meet you there.”

The families began talking to the patrons at the store and sharing what was going on because they were all curious. Lydia pointed to me and said, “This is Sonny and he is an angel. He just doesn’t have his wings on today. The other angel is blue Mustang they both helped us. It was a miracle.”

It was amazing on how many people were helping out with the blessing today but this was all orchestrated by God. With Him there are no coincidences.

The next day I called the parents to just ask how they were doing. They said, “We have more food than we can handle. All of our refrigerators and freezers are full of food. We made some breakfast burritos and shared our blessing with some homeless people on the street. We fed them breakfast and prayed over them. We know how it is to have plenty and we also know what it’s like to have nothing. If God says go bless people we are going to go bless them. We are just going to do it.”
