Thanksgiving 2021

During the week prior to Thanksgiving, God made plans to take Thanksgiving dinner to Marcus’s gang in Denver. I made arrangements to get the two turkeys and the food that goes with a Thanksgiving meal and to have it ready by Thanksgiving. It is now Thanksgiving morning and I am heading to Denver with what I picked up at Costco. I am going to pick up the rest of the food in Denver. After I had my pickup fully loaded, I headed to Marcus’s home. When I knocked on the door, I had a turkey in one hand and a tray box in the other. I knocked on the door with my foot again to get someone to open the door. Marcus opened the door holding a double barrel shotgun. Marcus hates me because I talk about Jesus Christ too much. They keep telling me that they do not want to hear about Jesus then they throw me on the ground. The earth and I have seen each other face to face many times. I have also been slammed against my pickup many times. But when I showed up at their home things were different. They were very hostile at first. Marcus asked, “What are you doing here Sonny? We do not want to hear about Jesus Christ.”

Then Marcus noticed the food I was carrying. He asked, “Is that a turkey that you are holding?”

I said, “Yes, it is cooked and it is ready to eat. I have brought you and your men two turkeys for Thanksgiving dinner. Today, we know is Thanksgiving. I want to bring a good meal to you and your men.”

Marcus still couldn’t believe what he heard and repeated, “So you really brought us two turkeys for Thanksgiving.”

I said, “Yes, I also have everything that goes with a turkey dinner. In my pickup I have a cooler filled with pop and water, mashed potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole with bacon on top, biscuits, corn bread and for dessert I brought pumpkin pies. God told me to bless my enemies by preparing a feast for them. Even if you guys don’t like me, I am still here to bless you.”

Marcus then took the lid off the tray that I had in my other hand. He looked inside and said, “Man that sure looks good. Just put it over there on the table.”

His mindset changed as he discovered that I had food for him and He knew they were hungry. I then said to Marcus, “I need some help. I have a lot of food in my pickup.”

Marcus then said, “Boys, go help Sonny bring the food in.”

So they came out and helped me bring in all the food. After everything was brought inside, I started setting out all the plastic plates silverware and plastic glasses. When the table was set, I started carving the turkey. As I worked on the turkey, I was praying out loud thanking God for the food. I then prayed for the young men around me. I began looking around the room as I was speaking to God and I noticed several of Marcus’s men had their eyes closed. I had not prayed for the meal yet but I was just physically thanking God for all the wonderful things that he does in my life. I then thanked him for the people who help me in this ministry. I specifically prayed for Blue Mustang for providing the food for this meal. After I mentioned Blue Mustang, I also noticed some of the men began talking. One man looked at another man and said, “Who in the world is this Blue Mustang?” I wanted to laugh between me and God but I continued praying out loud. I finally said “Amen” as I finished the prayer. One of the gang members said, “I have never heard anybody pray like that. I usually hear prayers that always start out with ‘My Father who art in heaven’.”

I said, “There is nothing wrong with that prayer. Our Lord Jesus Christ himself prayed that. It is a simple but very powerful prayer so you can learn how to talk to God. Praying is really just like talking to him. But God likes it when you talk to him from your heart. You do not have to be perfect. Pour your heart out to God. That was basically just what I was doing when I was carving the turkey.”

He replied, “That was still a pretty good prayer.”

Marcus came to me and said, “I want to show you something.” He took me over to the refrigerator and opened the door. Inside the refrigerator was three slices of cheese, a package of baloney, two pickles and some mayonnaise. That was the entire contents of his refrigerator. He then opened up the freezer which contained nothing but ice.

I looked at Marcus and said, “The Lord knew that you were hungry. That is why God told me to go prepare a meal before my enemies. But know this; I don’t want you to be enemies. I want you to be Christian brothers so that we can fight the fight together. We don’t want to fight each other but we want to fight for the Kingdom of God.”

As I said that, three of his men started crying. In fact, you can tell that the Holy Spirit was really working in their hearts. I said, “My King knows about every tear that is running down your face.”

One man replied, “Does God know everything about me?”

I said, “Yes he does.” He replied, “I have sinned a lot against God. I don’t think that God will ever forgive me.”

I said, “Yes, he will forgive you. All you have to do is ask.”

At this moment, Marcus said, “I want to eat now. I am getting hungry.”

I said, “Okay men. Let’s eat!”

As I was still carving on the turkeys, the gang members began loading up their plates. Everything was good to them. They all had their full plates as they began eating. The pies were still in the refrigerator from Costco. As they continued eating, I continued sharing the word of God with them. I walked around and began praying for each one. God revealed to me what was in each man’s hearts as I prayed. Each man listened to what I prayed for. None of them told me to walk away and to leave them alone. They listened and they kept nodding their heads agreeing with me as God revealed things to me about them, agreeing with what I prayed. Some of them questioned me. Francisco a gang member asked, “How did you know that? I did not tell you about anything.”

I said, “That is what my King showed me. I am just repeating to you what God said. I myself don’t know you because I have only seen you three times. The only thing I know about you is that you body slammed me three times and that is all I know.”

Francisco said, “I am so sorry that I hurt you. I am never going to do that to you again. Not when you’ve done what you have done today by bringing all of this to us.”

I noticed some of the gang members were sitting in the corner real quiet. They had tears coming down their eyes while they were eating. I went over to talk to that group. I said, “I noticed that you have tears running down your face. What is going on?”

One man said, “You tell me. When you are praying for the guys, God was showing you what was going on in their lives. What is God showing you about me?”

I said, “You are missing your family. You are thinking about past Thanksgivings spending time with your grandparents and family and all the fun things you did. You are missing all of that. You should call your parents and wish them a Happy Thanksgiving.”

After Marcus was full, he went to his room. He was gone for a while to do something. Shortly he came out and said, “Sonny, I need to talk to you man.” I walked over with him and we sat down in one of the corners of his home. Marcus then said, “I want to give my heart to Jesus Christ. I am done with this kind of life. When you brought us this food this morning something happened in my heart.  It reminded me about the times I had Thanksgiving with my parents, Grandparents and family. I don’t know about my men but I am ready.”

As Marcus gave his heart to Jesus Christ, he began crying. His gang noticed and asked, “What is going on? Why are you crying?”

Marcus replied, “I don’t know about you but this lifestyle is over for me. I am going to give my heart to Jesus Christ. It is up to you guys what you want to do but I have made my decision. You need to decide if you still want to be a gang. I miss my family and I want to go back home. God has a purpose for me and for you.”

Before Marcus gave his life to Jesus Christ he just ordered his men around. But now he was having a one-on-one conversation with them. Now he is crying in front of his men. Before he was always stone faced and serious. You definitely can see a transformation in Marcus as the Holy Spirit shifted his heart.

Marcus’s men began thinking about what just happened.  They said, “You know I have been missing my family also.”

Some of them then said, “I have already called my parents to have them come and get me.”

One at a time they started coming to me. I said, “If any of you want your name written in the Lamb’s book of Life, come and stand to my right.” They started coming as soon I made the comment.

They all began crying as they lined up. They asked, “What is going wrong with us?”

I said, “It is Jesus Christ penetrating your hearts.”

Marcus took a deep breath and said, “I finally feel peace in my heart. I do not feel that anger anymore. I have no desire to beat up or rob someone like before. Now that my heart belongs to God, I want to make a difference.”

By now everyone in Marcus’s gang gave their hearts entirely over to Jesus Christ. With all that power of God in the room, it became quite warm. We all headed outside to cool off.

As we were all standing outside, Marty’s gang shows up. I found out when Marcus was in his room before he made his commitment to accept Jesus Christ, he invited Marty to come over. Marty asked, “You guys are not hurting Sonny are you? I know Sonny.”

Marcus said, “No! Sonny brought us Thanksgiving dinner. Are you guys hungry?”

Marty was puzzled and repeated the question, “Are you hungry?” because he did not know what that meant.

Marcus said, “Yes, we are not fighting anymore. Sonny brought his food and we gave our hearts to Jesus Christ.”

Marty exclaimed, “You gave your hearts to Jesus Christ!”

Marcus said, “Yes and our families are coming to get us.” Marcus paused to compose his thoughts then said, “Marty, I want to ask for forgiveness for everything that I have done to you and your men.”

Just two weeks ago they got into a big fight. God had me separate them by driving my pickup right down the middle of their battle lines. Both sides had their pistols drawn towards each other and they were shouting obscenities at each other. Each side was waiting for the other side to make the first move.

Marty said, “We just fought two weeks ago and I cannot even remember why we were fighting.”

Marcus said, “That is all in the past. I am looking forward to the future. Right now, I’m just telling you that I am going home. I have given my heart to Jesus Christ. Marty, today is the day of salvation. Tomorrow is never promised even for me.”

Marty then said, “I also have been thinking about going home. I am tired of this kind of life.”

Marcus said, “Let’s go inside and eat. We have plenty of food for you.”

Marcus and Marty walked together into the house. Marcus was tearing up while he was talking to Marty. Marty grabbed a plate and filled it with food. As he was thinking about sitting down he said, “It is time for me to give my heart to Jesus Christ also. I am tired of this life. I am tired of fighting all the time. I never know what tomorrow is going to bring.”

Marty then looked at his men and said, “You guys can do whatever you want. But as for me I’m giving my heart to Jesus Christ. I am done with this life. Whatever you decide is not up to me but it is between you and God. If you want to give your heart to him today that would be great.”

His men then said, “It would be nice to be able to get a meal every day. It would also be nice to see our families again.”

I then prayed for Marty and his men. While this was going on, a whole bunch of cars began showing up. They were friends and family from Marcus’s side. It has not been long enough yet for Marty’s families to show up. Marcus and his boys just ran outside to greet their parents. I could hear one man excitedly say “My mom is here.” There was a lot of hugging and crying going on out in front of the house. I stepped out and you could sense the power of God working out there between the families and the gang members. I can hear the men say “I’ve given my heart to Jesus Christ. I am not a gangster anymore. I want to be a difference. I now have a purpose like Sonny said.”

They begin pointing me out to their parents. They then said, “He would bring us food and we would either beat him up or just leave. He continually brought us food and we would always spurn him but he would never give up on us. But today, he brought us Thanksgiving dinner. That changed my whole heart when I began thinking of past Thanksgivings.”

One of the sons asked, “Mom have you accepted Jesus Christ in your heart.” She confirmed that she had not. He then said, “I am going to be a Christian.”

She has never heard about Jesus Christ and asked, “How do you do that?”

He then shared with her everything what I had told him. She gave her heart to Jesus Christ along with her son.

Marty then gave his life to Jesus Christ. Everyone in the room began crying. Marty’s gang began calling their family because they too were ready to go home. We finished eating Thanksgiving dinner and went back outside. Up to this point, no one has had dessert.

When Marty’s parents started to come for him, he asked, “Sonny, could you pray for my dad. When I left home six years ago, my dad was an alcoholic. My dad always beat me and I just couldn’t take anymore. That is the reason why I left home. Will you pray for him?”

I said, “Yes, I will pray for him.” I prayed for Marty and his dad. Marty was watching outside when his dad and mom arrived. They both got out of the car but his dad was carrying a Bible. Marty looked at me and excitedly said, “My dad is carrying a Bible!”

I said, “Marty, I can tell he loves Jesus Christ. Just look at his face!”

Marty took off and ran towards his parents. He embraced his dad when they met. It was very emotional. They both started crying as they held each other. His dad immediately asked Marty for forgiveness for what he did. Marty then asked for forgiveness from both his mom and dad for what he did. His siblings also came along. They too started crying as the Holy Spirit began mending their hearts. Marty told his dad that he wanted his dad to see him give his heart to Jesus Christ before going home. It wasn’t as though he wanted to brag but he wanted to show his parents that he was serious about making a commitment to Jesus Christ and change his life. There was a lot of activity going on between the parents and their sons.

As everyone was talking outside, Carlos and his gang showed up. He got out of his car and said, “You know what; we decided to take a drive just to see what you guys were up to.” Carlos looked around and asked, “Are you guys having a party? I just remember two weeks ago when you guys were fighting. And now you’re having a party? What is going on here? I don’t even know what brought me here.”

Marty said, “Marcus invited us over today for Turkey.”

Marcus then stepped in and asked, “Are you guys hungry? We have plenty to eat here.” Marcus started a list of all the stuff that was in the house to eat for Thanksgiving.

Carlos replied, “Thanksgiving dinner!” He still did not understand what was going on.

Marcus said, “Sonny, brought it to us. There were also a lot of people behind the scene who made this all happen just for us. And it was all delicious.”

Carlos looked at me and said, “Sonny, why didn’t you invite me to this party.”

I said, “I did. You are here aren’t you? God brought you here.”

Carlos said, “Yes, we are hungry.”

All three gang leaders began walking back to the house. Marcus then told Carlos that he has given his heart to Jesus Christ. Marty then confirmed that he also gave his heart to Jesus Christ. Carlos said, “What you guys are not gangsters anymore? That means we are not going to fight each other anymore!”

Both Marcus and Marty agreed there is going to be no fighting anymore.  There were a lot more parents who were showing up at this time. Marcus’s neighbors Noah and Ruth became curious and they came over. Ruth brought over pies. They went up to Marcus and said, “We brought you some apple and cherry pies for Thanksgiving.”

Marcus began to realize all the things that these neighbors have been trying to do for him and said, “I know we have been your neighbors a long time and we have not made much of an effort to talk to you. We ask for forgiveness for that. Those pies sure look good.”

Ruth said, “To be honest with you, we were scared of you. You carried pistols all the time. But we are not scared today. Today is Thanksgiving and we want to bless you.” Ruth paused then asked, “How did you like the cookies I left on your front porch?”

Marcus said, “I was wondering who was leaving those cookies. They were always delicious and greatly appreciated.”

I looked over to my left and I could see that all of Noah’s family was on the front porch looking in trying to figure out what was going on. Soon all the grandkids started coming over trying to figure out what the parents were up to. The grandkids really did not have any fear because they do not understand pistols.

Marty came up to Noah and said, “You guys remind me of my grandparents. I have not seen them for a long time.”

Carlos said, “Let’s eat.” Both Marty and Marcus along with their men began serving Carlos’s gang. I could hear the pans rattling as all the food was being cleaned up. There was now nothing left as Carlos and his men sat down to eat.

Marcus looked at me and said, “I have not experienced this much peace in my life, ever.”

After Carlos’s men finished eating, Noah and Ruth along with some parents began cutting the pies for dessert. I had brought huge Costco pumpkin pies but some of the gang hated pumpkin. That is why God had Ruth bring only apple and cherry pies.

Marcus then went to Carlos and asked, “Please forgive me for anything that I may have done wrong to you. I know that we hurt you bad and if you feel like you cannot forgive me that’s okay.  Sonny told me that if we do not forgive others our heavenly Father will not forgive us. I do not want to be in that boat and possibly spend my entire life in the Lake of Fire.”

Marcus’s neighbors, parents and all the gang members were all listening to Marcus speak. Carlos began crying after Marcus asked for forgiveness. Carlos had a lot of sin in his own life. Carlos said, “Can God really forgive me for all the things I have done. I have done a lot of bad things in my life. I have hurt a lot of people. You can ask any of these guys here today and they will tell you that I did not show any mercy.”

I said, “Jesus has shown mercy to you.”

Marcus then interjected, “He died on the cross for us but he rose again in three days. That’s what the Bible says.”

Carlos was really emotional as the Holy Spirit began the transformation of his heart but once he completely gave his life to Jesus Christ it was over. It brought peace to his life. When Carlos’s men saw him change they wanted what he had.

Carlos was watching what was going on around him and said, “Boy that must be nice having your parents hug you. I have not seen my parents in close to four years now. They probably won’t hug me.”

I said, “You won’t know that unless you call them. Invite them over.”

Carlos said, “I’m going to go do that.” He walked over to his car which was a restored red and white 1956 Chevy. He sat down in the driver seat and made the call. He was in there for quite a while. Pretty soon Carlos’s parents were coming to get him. I also notice that the parents of his men began showing up. They too were all requesting to go home. Carlos finally got out of the car and said, “Boys, I’m done with this life. I want to go home. I do not want to do this anymore.”

It was now time for the entire last gang to give their hearts to Jesus Christ. Noah excused himself and went back to his garage. He then backed his truck up to Marcus’s home. It contained full boxes of Bibles. Noah then started handing out Bibles to all the men.  We were getting low on Bibles when a white van showed up that had more Bibles in it. I have seen this van before.  I asked myself, “Who are these people? They follow me everywhere. They always bring Bibles just at the right time.”

Everybody here received a Bible. There were still more parents and families that are still coming. I prayed for anybody that needed prayer. When the parents arrived it looked more like a party. They would ask, “What is going on here? I’m just here to pick up my son.”

I always replied, “Your son just gave his life to Jesus Christ.”

I was not sure how many people got saved that day but it was difficult to stop crying when I realized how many broken hearts were fixed today by the power of the Holy Spirit. By now it is late and I began to get ready to go home.

Three gangs gave their hearts to Jesus Christ on Thanksgiving Day. They were once enemies. Now they are Christian brothers under Jesus Christ. Carlos said, “Sonny thank you for never giving up on us. Every time I would see you, both you and Blue Mustang would feed us.”

I returned from the drive and noticed that Ruth and Noah brought all three leaders together and put their hands on them.  Noah began praying for them. I noticed there grandkids were there to but they still seemed to be a little scared because the men still had their pistols. After they finished praying, the parents started to disciple these men. They had churches that they might want to go to and people who help them in their walk with Jesus Christ. The parents then turned to me and said, “Sonny, thanks for not giving up on our sons.”

I said, “God has never given up on me. I am never going to give up on them either. I myself am never going to be perfect until I am in his presence. My name is in the Lamb’s book of Life. You have to continually stand against the enemy using the word of God. You cannot do it by yourself.”

Marty commented, “Everybody keeps talking about this Blue Mustang. He must be a pretty cool dude. He must have a Kings heart like Sonny.”

I too said, “If it wouldn’t be for him, I could not afford to bring all this food to you guys. I just bring the word of God to you guys.”

They said, “God supplies just like you said Sonny.”

I said to myself they are already learning. Many times when I am speaking to these guys I don’t think that they are paying attention. But they have been listening to every word that I speak. Just remember if God calls you to do something even though you don’t think you’re making a difference continue to be obedient because you will see what I am seeing here today.

Carlos then asked, “Sonny have you ever driven a 56 Chevy before?” I confirmed that I had not. Carlos then threw me the keys and said, “Why don’t you drive it around the block a bit.” I climbed into his car. If you’ve ever been in an older car they used not to have power steering. This thing had a huge steering wheel. It was beautiful how he restored it. He added air conditioning to this car. In a lot of the older cars air conditioning was either not available or was an option. He had a cool sound system installed. It sounded really amazing. It had a manual transmission and the ability to make the car go up and down. I did not want to damage his beautiful car so I just left that switch alone. Now I physically started it and put it in gear. I took my time as I drove around the block. It sure was fun to drive an old classic. It was getting late and I said good bye to everyone and went home to get some sleep. But I was about to find out my night was about to change.

My return to Denver Thanksgiving night

On Friday at 1 a.m. all three gang leaders asked me to come to Carlos’ home to pray for their families. They all loved their families and wanted them to also have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and asked for my help. His parents had a large beautiful home with a five car garage.  I went into a room where the families of the three gang leaders were hanging out. I said, “Those of you that have not accepted Jesus Christ and want to accept him as your personal Savior come over here and stand on the right side.”

Almost the whole crowd came over and stood on my right hand side. Marcus then asked, “Sonny, do you think that I could pray for some of my cousins. I am not sure if I know what to do.”

I said, “Marcus, go ahead and do whatever God tells you to do. You know the sinners prayer.”

So Marcus began praying for some of his family. All of them gave their hearts to Jesus Christ there in that room. When the families saw what happened to their sons, they began to understand the importance of knowing Jesus Christ. They saw the difference that Jesus Christ made in their son’s life. Before they knew Jesus, they were tough and selfish. And now they’ve been transformed into entirely different people that show kindness and love for those around them. Jesus Christ is the only one who is capable of making such a transformation because only he can change hearts. I began seeing all the broken lives in the parents coming forward. Again it was difficult to keep from crying because when the Holy Spirit moves it is so powerful. God gets the glory and the victory

Marty Asks to speak with me  Friday Afternoon

On Friday Marty asked to speak with me. I met him at one of the parks where he would frequent. As I was speaking with Marty, Marcus drove up to us. Marcus got out and said, “I figured you’d be here at the park where you usually come on these nice days. I brought your cooler back. You will need to bring pop and water to other gangs. I am so sorry for taking this cooler from you.” Marcus did a good job of washing and cleaning up the cooler. Two of his brothers that were with him helped load it into my pickup because it was full of Dr. Pepper and water on ice. They carried it over and put it on the back of my pickup. Marcus then said, “Sonny, every time I would walk by the cooler God would convict me. He showed me that you are using this cooler to reach souls for the Kingdom of God. I felt so guilty that I just had to get rid of this cooler. So I filled it with Dr. Pepper and water just to show how sorry I am.”

Marcus then left because he needed to make plans to clean up the house. A lot of people went back to Marcus’s home to help clean up. Noah’s brother had a business where he had dump trucks. He brought two of them to the home so they could clean up. Most of the furniture they had in the house was free stuff they got off the street. Almost everything was trashed. They got everything loaded on one dump truck. They said they only needed one but Noah’s brother wanted to make sure they had enough trucks. Noah’s brother even paid the dumping bill. The home was in excellent condition when they finished. Marcus came to me and said, “While we’re throwing out the trash, I took the cushions off the couch. To my surprise, I found the hundred dollar bill I lost a while back. It was lurking beneath one of the couch cushions.”  Marcus was still so appreciative that he felt like thanking me again for bringing him back to his family. I reminded him that it was God who brought me to you in the first place. Marcus said, “Yeah, I know but still we would beat you up and you continued to love us. You were never afraid to tell us about Jesus Christ. That does take a lot of guts.” Marcus then took that hundred dollar bill he had put in his wallet and gave it to me saying, “Sonny apply this hundred dollars to the ministry. Go buy some donuts for the next gang.”

His dad was watching everything that he did and said, “Who would’ve ever thought that my son would do something like that.” His dad saw how Jesus Christ has been transforming his son’s heart in such a short period of time.

Marcus then said, “I may not be Blue Mustang but at least I can still be part of that army.”

It was getting late in the day. I then went back out on the streets and started to witness to some more gangs that my King had already planned for me to meet.

Praying for Marcus Marty and Carlos

On Wednesday, I met with Marcus, Marty and Carlos just to pray with them. Boy what a transformation when I met them. They were all clean-cut with haircuts. Before they gave their hearts to Jesus Christ every one of them carried a ponytail. I said, “Man, you guys got some haircuts.”

They said, “Yeah man, we just don’t want to look like we used to.”

Carlos then said, “Sonny, I have a lot of tattoos and a lot of them don’t look good.  I have been thinking about getting my tattoos removed. I don’t think that God likes them.”

I said, “God is interested in your heart. Let those tattoos be a testimony to other people about God’s Kingdom.

Carlos said, “That brings peace to my spirit.”

I said, “When you die, you will not be taking those tattoos with you. God will be giving you a new body.”

Carlos said, “Does that mean that I am going to be taller.”

I said, “Yeah, you definitely will be taller.”

Carlos’s final words to me were, “Sonny, thanks for never giving up on us.”

Our King definitely knows how to throw a Thanksgiving party. He truly loves us to spend that kind of time on these men just to bring them into his Kingdom. God gets the Glory and the Victory.

Mexican Mafia Turn to Jesus Christ

On the week of October 23rd, I got a call from Greeley’s undercover police that Mexican Mafia had moved into Island Grove Park. The first thing they did was run off all the homeless people in the area. The Mafia said, “Either you leave or you get shot. We are planning on taking over the entire area and we don’t want your kind around here.”

The homeless frequent this area a lot because of its availability to the river and space to hang out. Now they are going to have to hide from the presence of these guys. Some of them did challenge the Mafia, but that didn’t last long as the Mafia quickly beat them up. The undercover police have been trying to arrest the Mafia but they don’t make any mistakes for a conviction. The undercover police showed me videos taken with drones. The Mexican mafia consists entirely of guys. As I continued watching the videos, God was preparing me to take 33 Bibles to this organization. There are two gangs in Greeley called the Reds and the Blues. From the videos I could see they were losing to the Mafia guys. Once these guys were gone, the Mafia would totally own Greeley. I did not want to interfere with the operations of the undercover police and God had not, at this point in time, given me permission to go in yet. So I waited for God’s permission to do so.

The undercover police contacted me many times during the week to follow. I continued to observe and God finally said, “Sonny, you need to go and talk to them today.”

This was on a Tuesday. I immediately went home and gathered all the Bibles and left for Island Grove Park in Greeley, Colorado. Before I entered the park, God said for me to start playing some music. The selection he gave me was quite unusual. He said play “In the Mood” by Glenn Miller. If you don’t realize who this guy is, he is a singer from the 50’s. I said, “God, this is not going to help relieve the situation. I just have not heard of any Mexican gangs or Hispanic people who listen to Glenn Miller.”

After God listened to my so called advice, he said, “Sonny, just do it!”

God sees the big picture. I did not understand what he was planning. I pulled up to the Mexican Mafia playing Glenn Miller loudly. You may even wonder why or how I was able to find a recording of Glenn Miller. I happen to like the song that God asked me to play and I actually had it on my phone. I parked near them while the song was still playing and got out of my pickup. They all reached for their pistols and pointed them at me. They said, “You made a big mistake coming here. I don’t know who you think you are to pull up like you did playing that kind of music.”

I replied, “Let me tell you about the music you heard. God told me to play it loud so you could hear it.”

Before his men started beating me up, Carlos the leader of the Mafia said, “Leave him alone! I can tell you exactly why he was playing that music. That was my grandpa’s favorite song. Every time I would go over to his house when I was younger, he would play Glenn Miller and I heard this song many times. This was my grandpa’s favorite song. While he was playing that music he would always tell me about Jesus Christ.”

Now, I knew exactly why God had me play this song. Carlos then said, “Everybody put your pistols away. This is only one guy.”

But Carlos didn’t realize that I brought God’s Kingdom with me. Carlos said, “What do you want to say? What do you want with us?”

I said, “I want your hearts for Jesus Christ.”

At this moment Carlos took over the preaching for me by talking about his grandfather. He started telling his men about what his grandfather told him about Jesus Christ. He said, “My grandfather would continuously read John 3:16 to me.

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Carlos began quoting scriptures to his gang. My grandfather would never stop. I would tell him that I do not want want to hear about Jesus Christ anymore. My grandfather would then say that everything you see is temporary. But Jesus Christ is eternal.”

I just stood there listening to everything that Carlos was speaking. He then said, “He would have this board in his living room. He used a hot knife to sear Matthew 6:33 into the wood.

33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

My grandpa never gave up on me. He continued to show me all kinds of scriptures. My grandfather’s favorite scripture was Jeremiah 29:11″

His right-hand man Victor never put his pistol away. He felt it was his duty to protect the leader. But Victor was listening intently to what Carlos was saying. He then asked, “Are there any more scriptures that you can share.”

Carlos replied, “That is mostly it but hell is real. You will be thrown into the Lake of Fire if you do not give your heart to Jesus Christ.”

Victor was amazed and asked, “How can you remember all that? You are now preaching to us and you are our leader!”

Carlos said, “Yeah, some things you just don’t forget. You’re thinking that you’re not paying attention but I found out that I was listening to every word my grandpa was speaking.”

Victor looked at me and asked, “What is Jeremiah 29:11?”

I said, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Carlos then stepped in and said, “When you read that verse you notice the part that says the Lord. That was actually the Lord speaking himself. That was not like Matthew or Luke writing it.”

As I was listening to Carlos, I said to myself man this guy could be a preacher. I then looked at Carlos and asked, “So now you have a gang and your primary purpose is beating up people. This park is the only place that the homeless people can hang out, but you physically ran them off. Now they have no place to go. Jesus would not do that he would come here and feed them. He would give them clothing and blankets so they would stay warm.”

Carlos immediately started crying when I said that. He said, “My grandfather told me that someday I would go to the homeless and feed them, give them clothes and give them warm blankets.” Carlos was starting to become emotional. He then said, “I don’t know what’s going on inside of me but you better stop talking.”

I said, “It is not me talking to you but it is the Holy Spirit. You have forgotten what your purpose is in this world. That is to preach to those who are lost and broken hearted. Just like your Grandpa and your Dad used to do.”

Carlos was definitely ready to lose composure. He just had to walk away. As soon as Carlos left the scene, Victor looked at me and said, “So you come here to tell us about Jesus. Then you bring all these tacos from Taco Bell for us to eat. Our leader, of which I have no clue what just happened, but he knows all these scriptures. You tell him that his purpose is to feed the homeless, give clothes to them, and tell them about Jesus.” Before I could answer him he then said, “You do not know all the things we have done. We do not mess around.”

I said, “Victor, it does not matter what you have done. If you ask for forgiveness from our King, he will forgive you. Then he’ll forget everything. But you need to ask him for forgiveness first.”

Victor then paused as he was thinking about what I said. He then said, “I don’t know what is happening right now. I have to go take a walk.”

At this Moment, he finally put his pistol down. Then he began to walk away. His men did not know what was going on either but when Victor mentioned the word “tacos” they looked at me and one man asked, “Did you really bring us tacos?”

I then put the tailgate down. I brought the Bibles and the tacos and laid them out on my tail gate. I asked what his name is and he revealed his name is “Hyman”. I had him write his name down on a piece of paper. I then had the rest of the mafia do the same thing. I personally put their individual names in each Bible and wrote a personal message to each one in their Bibles. The Holy Spirit told me what to write for each man. As I handed each man his Bible, I said, “It is your responsibility to give your heart to Jesus Christ. I cannot force you to do that.”

Meanwhile Carlos came back and said, “I have been thinking about what you said. I am going to go back home in Mexico. I am going to start a ministry there. I want to rededicate my heart to Jesus Christ. Will you help me?”

I prayed over Carlos as he rededicated his life to Jesus Christ. I looked at his men and said, “If any of you guys want your name written into the Lamb’s Book of Life, come over here. I am not going to force you to come over here but you will not be able to say that no one ever told you about Jesus Christ loving you. You can never say that. I am telling you right now that Jesus Christ loves you. He came to this world for us. Even before we were born he knew us and he still does.”

Victor then shared, “I never liked hurting people. I did it to protect my leader. I always felt bad after we hurt people.”

They all started sharing things about their life and soon they were all giving their hearts to Jesus Christ. Soon they began calling their parents and telling them that they were ready to come home. Carlos shared with his folks the ministry that he was going to start with the homeless. All his men continued eating while all this was going on. Some of the homeless people were curious to see what was going on. They watched us and kept coming closer. Carlos shouted, “Hey, if you guys are hungry we got some food here for you.”

Carlos was already starting his ministry feeding the homeless. Soon this taco truck suddenly appeared. I had no idea where this truck came from. The driver shouted, “I hear somebody needs some food around here.”

Carlos said, “We don’t have a lot of money here, so you can leave.”

The driver replied, “No it’s free Taco Tuesday.”

The man’s wife was also in the truck and they both started making tacos and burritos for the gang and me. More of the homeless were hiding behind the ditch on the Northside. They were watching all that was going on. They now felt more bold and came over. I looked at Carlos and said, “God is already bringing them to you.”

There were close to 50 people there being fed including the mafia itself. The driver said, “We need to stop eating and thank God for this meal.”

He used the intercom system on his truck and started praying to the gang. The homeless guys began crying. Carlos walked up to them and asked, “Do you guys know Jesus Christ. He’s the way, the truth and life. He is eternal.”

I already had given him his Bible. He opened it up to John 3:16 and started reading that verse. He was definitely ministering to homeless people. Wednesday morning they all jumped into their 61 Impalas and headed back to Mexico as changed men.

I had a Freitas taco that was out of this world. The driver, who somehow knew who I was, said, “Good work Sonny!”

I said, “I did not do anything thing. Jesus Christ did it all.”

The driver then said, “No charge. These tacos are all free today. Do you want anymore?”

I gratefully said, “No, I am full. That is one of the best tacos that I ever ate.”

What was interesting, there were nine undercover police that were watching and listening to everything that we said. They confided in me that they have never cried like they did when I was sharing Jesus with them. We saw the whole thing. What you just did blew us away. But they said, “We were really concerned when you started playing Glenn Miller. We all thought you lost it! ”

God gets the Glory and the Victory. There was no way I would have chosen Glenn Miller. God knew Carlos’s heart much better than I did. He could not have made a better choice to deliver his message.

A few weeks have passed and Carlos and his men are getting support in Mexico. He calls me frequently to share what is happening. He will be reaching the homeless. Likewise in Greeley this was a desperate situation. Nothing could stand up against these guys and they were worried. They did not realize that God’s Kingdom was present. Getting rid of a threat is one thing but turning the threat into a ministry, only the true God, Yahweh, could master such a plan.

Frisbees Bring Gang to Jesus

I just finished blessing two families and I am headed to pick up the 12 dozen burritos that my ladies have made for me. To this point God still hasn’t told me where to go so I started praying to him to show me where I should take these burritos. After I finish praying, God said, “Sonny, go to the park in Commerce City. The gangs will be there.”

I have been there many times before so I was curious to see who was there. When I arrived, there were three gangs already facing each other. These guys weren’t holding baseball bats or knives. They all had pistols drawn and were pointing them at each other. And they were having a shouting match, accusing each other of certain things. God said, “Sonny, drive your pickup on the grass now! Go right between all three gangs and separate them.”

I have learned that in this kind of a situation I don’t have to worry about anybody chasing me off the grass. It is amazing, when pistols are drawn there is no law enforcement of any kind present. So I immediately drove my pickup right between all three gangs. I was moving so fast that a few of them even had to move out of the way so they would not be hit. I caught them off-guard and they yelled, “What the hell are you doing?”

Now their pistols were pointed in my direction. Pablo was the leader of one of the gangs that I have been witnessing to for two years. Pablo knew me very well and he came up and said, “Sonny, what are you doing here man. You need to move your pickup out of the way. We are fixing to shoot everybody here. These guys were planning on shooting us so we are going to shoot back.”

I said, “No man! I can’t do that.” I looked at the other gangs and turned back to Pablo. I then said, “I have a gift for all of you.”

Soon the other leaders started moving in and began asking, “What is going on here? Who are you? You are in the way!”

I said, “I made a way. My King said to come here. That is why I am here.”

They were not sure what I was talking about. They then asked, “What do you want?”

I said, “I need some help to get this box out of my backseat.” One leader said, “All right, we will help you. I just cannot wait till we start shooting this pickup all up.”

I said, “It’s okay, but first let me give you your gift.”

That leader sent two of his men to get the box out of the back of my pickup. I had the box all covered with duct tape. I asked, “Do any of you guys have a knife?”

About 30 guys already had their knives open ready to have at the box. They started carefully opening the box with their knives. When they pulled the flap back, one man said, “It is full of Frisbees!”

I said, “Those are for you guys.”

I reached into the box and started throwing frisbees at all the guys. One of the men said, “Man, do you know how long it’s been since I’ve thrown a frisbee?”

Pretty soon there were frisbees flying everywhere. They were hitting my pickup and they were hitting other gang members. One guy was playing football. He would send a couple of guys out, then he would try making a pass. Those frisbees changed the whole atmosphere that day. When I got there, they were ready to shoot each other, now they’re playing frisbee with each other. You are probably wondering why I had frisbees in my pickup.

My King knew that there would be a solution to what was going on today. He had me go to Walmart earlier and pick up the frisbees. You are right, I was clueless on how this would unfold but my King already had an amazing plan in place. When I got there, the manager said, “I just put them all in the back because this time of year people don’t buy frisbees.”

I said, “I need all the frisbees that you have. If you have at least 30 that would be great but I will take more.”

We continued walking to the back of the store and started looking for the box. Then the manager said, “Let me look and see what’s in this box.” As he started messing with the box, he asked, “What are you doing with all these frisbees?”

I said, “God wants me to buy frisbees for the gangs I am meeting today. This will prevent them from killing each other.”

The manager then said, “Man, that is so super cool!” The manager then grabbed a marker and put “Rejects” on the box. He then looked at me and said, “Take them. I will walk you outside so you do not have to pay for them. That is the coolest idea I have ever heard of in my whole life. I want to be part of that blessing also.”

Going back to the park, all the gangs were continuing to have fun chucking frisbees. God then told me to get the coolers and food out. I placed all the food and the drinks out on the back of my pickup. Then I yelled, “Are you guys hungry?”

They yelled back, “We definitely are hungry!”

I told them what I had in the coolers and mentioned that the burritos are spicy. So be careful so you don’t get the screamers. These are going to be the best burritos you probably have ever eaten. As they began to eat, they continued to throw frisbees. Everyone put their pistols away. I climbed up in the back of my pickup and started reading the Bible loudly. The men then asked, “Are you a preacher?”

I said, “Only when I’m awake but when I’m asleep I’ve got to have my rest.”

He smiled and then asked, “Is it true that Jesus came and died for us even though we weren’t even born yet?”

I said, “Yes, he knew you even before you were born. He knew that you would be standing right here today.”

Pablo came over and said, “Sonny, will tell you that Jesus loves you. I used to beat him up and he would still get up and say Jesus loves you and I forgive you.” He paused for a moment and then said, “Sonny, I’ve been thinking a lot about how much I’ve been missing my family. I want to go back to them but I don’t know if they are going to accept me.”

I have been witnessing to this guy for over two years. Now today he’s ready to give his heart to Jesus Christ. Pablo then looked at his men and said, “I am done being a gangster. If you guys want to continue you can be gangsters but I’m finished. I am going home but first I am giving my heart to God.”

His men thought about what he just said. They all began to tell themselves they were missing their families also. The whole gang then gave their lives to Jesus Christ right in front of the other two gangs.

The other gangs then started asking questions. They looked at me and asked, “So you brought us frisbees and you brought us food just because Jesus loves us?”

I said, “Jesus loves you guys very much. He has a different purpose for your lives than what you are doing right now. He does not want you to shoot each other but he wants you to have fellowship with each other. You don’t have to fight each other. Just do what this other gang did.”

One of the leaders said, “We do a lot of trading with girls. God will never forgive that.”

I said, “Yes, he will. But you have to ask him first before he will forgive you.”

Pablo joined me and said, “God will forgive you. He will bring peace to your heart like he did to me today. Before I leave, I would love to pray for you guys right now.”

I said to myself, “This is amazing! He just became a Christian today and he’s already wanting to pray for the people he was about to shoot.”

Pablo continued to share with the other leaders. He said, “When Sonny first witnessed to us, we were extremely hard on him. We pushed him around. When we got bored with that we were ready to shoot him. But he said to me that he would love to pray for us first before we shot him. I then said to myself, “Why would a man who is about to be shot want to pray for me?” After this we could not shoot him. When he did that, things already started to change in my life. I realize today that would take a real Christian man to want to do something like that for me. That is a man of God standing there in front of you. So before you do anything to Sonny, he is going to ask you that question.”

The other gang leaders then said “Man, we want to know God like Sonny knows him.”

Then Pablo said “Let me pray for you guys.”

The other gang leader said “Pablo, I have known you longer than I have known Sonny. It would be great if you would pray for me.” Then Pablo prayed to God saying, “God, I have never prayed to you before. But could you bring peace to my enemies heart. His heart is broken just like mine was.”

He just prayed for the leader but not for the whole gang. After Pablo prayed for  the leader, he asked Pablo to come back later this afternoon to talk some more.

That gang leader looked at me and said “You know we know Puablo. We want to talk to him alone because we know him. I will probably talk to you later.”

Then all the gangs asked what they should do with all these frisbees. I told the guys just to keep them. So all three gangs divided the frisbees amongst themselves. Pablo confided in me, “If you would not have showed up, a lot of us probably would be dead right now. Because we were here to shoot each other.”

Then he finished talking and every gang member left. The third gang stayed quiet but the Holy Spirit is tugging on their hearts. I have a feeling I am going to be seeing these other two gangs next week. The fact that the other two gangs got to see Pablo’s gang give their lives to Jesus Christ, it will have an impact on them. Even though they did not invite me to come back this afternoon, I know Pablo well enough. I’ve talked about Jesus with him so much, that I am sure everyone is going to bring up his name in their conversations this afternoon. This should further impact their hearts to coming to Jesus Christ. It was amazing to watch this man who just give his life to Jesus Christ and to immediately pray for a guy that was about to shoot him. Only God has this kind of power to change one’s heart in such a short time and give him the desire to do something like this.

Just Do It!

Marciano, a gang leader from the Bronx in New York called me this week to talk to me. I met this gang five years ago. They were one of the meanest and toughest gangs in the Bronx. All the other gangs feared and had respect for these guys. The reason God had me visit New York was because he had prepared their hearts and wanted me to bring the love of Jesus Christ to them. When I first met them there were 27 people in their gang. Now they are Christians and 22 have remained. All their families are still living in the same neighborhood in the Bronx, so it was easy for them to stay together as a gang. They now witness as a gang to gangs in New York. Because they are a gang, it is easier for these guys to relate to the gangs they witness to. They even have the markings of a gang in their tattoos. Because of their fierce reputation, the other gangs have respect for Marciano’s gang

Marciano went to King Soopers last Saturday with the entire gang. They were going to buy food for the gang that they were going to witness to that day. When they got in th check out line, they noticed a family behind them with just a few items in their cart. It appeared as they were going on a picnic but Marciano wanted to make sure.. Marciano asked, “How is your day going?”

The family softly said, “Pretty well.”

Marciano asked, “Are you going to have a picnic today?”

The couple said, “No, this is all that we can afford. These are our groceries for the week.”

Marciano was not surprised and said, “Those are your groceries for an entire week!” He paused for a moment and then asked, “What would you say if somebody came up to you today and asked you to go shopping with them telling you to get whatever you wanted?”

God had spoke to Marciano at this moment and told him to go and just do it. The family acknowledged that would be a miracle. Marciano then said, “Let me tell you about Blue Mustang.”

The couple gave them a strange look and responded, “Blue Mustang!”

Marciano said, “Yeah, God tells Blue Mustang to just do it and He blesses families. We believe it is important to bless others so that we too can be blessed. We also have learned from him to “just do it”.”

When Blue Mustang started saying “Just Do It” Marciano just loved that phrase so it is now a part of his vocabulary. So when his gang asks if they should do something, he says, “Let’s just do it.”

The lady started crying. Soon her husband followed. Their kids asked Marciano, “Who is this Blue Mustang? Is he like Santa Claus?”

Marciano responded, “Yeah, he is just like a Christian Santa Claus. When God tells him to do something, he says let’s just do it.”

The kids turn to their mom and asked, “Can we get some cookies?”

She said, “Yes, let’s just do it.”

That entire gang went shopping with them. Marciano’s gang always turns heads when they walk through a store. It is unusual to have 22 guys shopping at the same time. They walked with them through the entire store getting groceries for them. The little boy then asked, “Can we get ice cream?”

His little sister said, “Let’s just do it.”

Marciano said, “Sometimes even as a gang we don’t get everything we want. But today I want you to get the things that you want. I want you to “just do it”. We are here to take care of you.”

They finally got a cart full of food and headed toward the checkout. They got enough groceries to last two weeks. The kids were all excited and said, “Now, this is grocery shopping.”

That family kept thanking the boys for what they had just done as they continued walking toward the checkout. The parents said, “We are going to eat good because of you guys.”

Marciano said, “No, it is not us. It is God entirely. He said to “just do it”.”

When the cashier totaled everything up, it turned out to be $359. The manager of the store happened to be listening when the gang first met with the family at the checkout line so he knew everything that was going on. When the gang got ready to pay, the manager paid for half of the total. What is cool about all of this is what was about to happen to the husband.

That man was crying the whole time while this was going on. He said, “I cannot believe this is happening. Are you pulling our legs and you are planning to walk away at the last minute?”

Marciano said, “No way man. God says to “just do it” and we are going to do it.”

Up to this point, the husband has not been to church in ten years. His wife goes to church faithfully. What was happening today was a witness to the husband. He was seeing what true followers of Jesus Christ are like. He wanted that in his life. Our King was more interested in his salvation then the groceries.

Marciano and his gang were definitely having fun with the “just do it” phrase. Another thing that was interesting that happened, was a young woman standing behind the gang members wearing a Nike shirt that said “just do it.” When they turned around and saw her in line with that t-shirt, they all started laughing. The family’s daughter went up to her and asked, “What size is that shirt? I would like to get one.”

She replied, “I am a manager of a Nike shirt store. You come to my store and I will get some T-shirts for you.”

So after getting the groceries, the family headed to the Nike store to get some “just do it” shirts. What happened at that King Soopers in the Bronx was so powerful the husband gave his heart to Jesus Christ. Marciano and his gang are going to disciple him and check on him once a week to see if he needs anything to help him start his new walk with Jesus Christ. Marciano’s mom called the wife of the family to have her come to their Bible study where she could get support from the women.

Marciano is a lot like Paul. Before he turned his life over to Jesus Christ, he had that reputation that he did not take no crap from any other gang member. His guys were all top notch when it came to protecting themselves from other gangs. He has had to live with that reputation trying to convince people that he has changed his life to Jesus Christ. He even tried using an alias to hide his identity but was too well known in the Bronx. On the positive side, his gang’s reputation definitely has advantages when it came to talking about Jesus Christ. Other gang members knew about him and what he was capable of doing so they had respect for him. But Marciano would always tell whoever he would come in contact with that he came in peace. Like me, he would always have food or something to bless the gangs.

Another thing that Marciano does is neighborhood clean up. He would rent a truck when some areas in the neighborhood get messed up because of gang activity. He and his gang would go out and clean up those areas. The gang members would always come out and demand to know what he is doing. He would always tell them that he’s here to clean things up for them so they’d have a nice clean place to hang out. He would then share with them that Jesus Christ asked him to do this because he loves them so much. Many times the gangs would give their lives over to Jesus just because of this sacrifice.

When you serve God, he not only looks out for you but blesses you. For example: When the guy that he rented the truck found out what Marciano was doing, he said, “If I only knew that you were doing this, I would not have charge you anything for the trucks.”

The owner just stood there for a moment then quickly went into the office. He looked through Marciano’s past charges. After adding everything up, he wrote a check to Marciano reimbursing him for past rentals. He then asked him if he had a favorite truck that he liked. Marciano said, “Sonny likes the number 51. If you have that number I would take that one.”

The owner did not have that number in his fleet so Marciano asked for 12 representing the twelve disciples. The owner said, “Marciano, I don’t have a number 12 either. I do have a number 13.”

Marciano thought for a minute then said, “That will do. That would be twelve disciples + Jesus Christ. That makes 13. That will be a great truck.”

The owner then gave Marciano a key to the lot so he could pick the truck up anytime someone is not here. He promised him that it would be fueled up and ready to go when he got there. The owner completely trusted Marciano. He earned his trust by living for Jesus Christ.

Marciano is cleaning up the Bronx and he is also blessing families at King Soopers. He was told by God to look for people with lists. Those people will usually be looking at their list trying to decide if they can afford to get anything on the list and what they might have to leave out. Also, look for short lists. That is another sign that may show people who do not have the money to buy groceries. By using this information from God, he has 100% success rate of reaching people who are in need.

As Marciano hung up his cell phone talking with me, he said, “God gets the Glory and the Victory.

Unforgiveness Stifles Church

It was Sunday and I was going to bring the message of Jesus Christ to some more gangs. As I was driving by one of the many churchs in Denver, my King said, “Sonny , I want you to stop and go to church here.”

I began arguing with God and said, “I need to see the gangs you told me about this week and I know they are at the park right now.”

My King said, “Just do it.”

So I pulled immediately into the church’s parking. As I got ready to park, I could hear this couple arguing. They were arguing very loud so everyone could hear them. The husband did not want to wear his shoes in church. His wife was wanting him to put them on. So the battle was on. I approached them and said, “My brother Blue Mustang does not wear shoes either. He just cannot stand to wear them and goes barefoot everywhere too.”

The husband feeling vindicated said, “He is my kind of man.”

The wife rolled here eyes and said, “It is hard to believe there is another one of those out there like my husband.”

I said, “It is not what you wear but what is important is what is in your heart when you come to worship our King.”

She said, “You are right. It is more important what’s in our hearts than what we wear.”

So they stopped arguing. I prayed with them and we went into the church together. I sat down next to them in the middle of the church. We sang worship songs at the beginning which was very inspirational. After we finished worshiping God in song, the Pastor came up and congratulated the worship team on there great performance. He then immediately began talking about his neighbor.

He said, “Do you ever got one of those neighbors that drive you crazy.”

He shared more things with the congregation that he cannot stand about his neighbor. It was like I was listening to those late night TV shows where they find some guy to disgrace to get ratings. I found out later that this has been an ongoing thing. He ended his rave with, “I just hate my neighbor.” Some people started laughing when he said that. I also heard some people murmur that they had one of those kind of neighbors too.

I said to myself that this is not right, so I stood up. The pastor asked, “How can I help you?”

I held my Bible towards him and said, “The scripture says love thy neighbor as you love yourself. If you hate your neighbor, what is there in your life that you hate about yourself.”

The pastor stopped and look down and paused to think. He then said, “You know; you are right.”

While this was all going on, everyone in the church was staring at me. But I did not care because I value what the Bible says and my King revealed to me this church is being held back because of unforgiveness. What was about to happen is really amazing.

The neighbor that he was talking about attended church today for the first time in his life. He was sitting about three rows behind me and to my left. The pastor did not notice that he was there listening to every word he spoke.

He then got up and said, “I am the neighbor that he is talking about. Many times I have been a jerk. If the wind blows my trash on to his yard, I just let it go.” He paused for a moment and continued, “This man has been a light in my life. When I had tragedies in my life he would come and support me. He would tell me about Jesus Christ. I just ignored him but he was interested in my salvation.”

He then came forward where the pastor stood and he asked for forgiveness and to accept Jesus Christ. They both publicly asked for forgiveness for what they’ve done. The healing in this church has begun. After this happened, the whole congregation started praying for each other. They all too had neighbors that either drove them crazy and/or other people in their lives that they had unforgiveness for. There was no message given that day. The whole service was given to prayer. People began coming together and asking for forgiveness of past grievances. Now the Holy Spirit can bless this church because they are removing their bondage of unforgiveness that has been keeping him away.

My King sent me here strictly because this church was being bound because of unforgiveness. A 90 year old lady in the back of the church said, “If he talked about his neighbor one more time, I’m not sure what I would do. I thank you very much for making him accountable for what he was saying.”

If you do not think that unforgiveness is deadly, I would like to remind you of the lead singer of the band MercyMe. When he had unforgiveness for his father, the music that he wrote was just not that great. Even one of his managers said you have something in your life that’s holding you back. His dad was not that great growing up and he had great bitterness towards him. The day he forgave his father and created a relationship with him, it all changed. He was sitting down in the bus and the words to this song “If You Could Only Imagine” came to light. He intentionally wrote it for Amy Grant but Amy knew that it was his song so she had him sing it on the day of her concert. That song became the number one song of every Christian song out there. They are still creating awesome music for God just because he forgave his father. Do not allow unforgiveness to hold you back.

Tire Blow Out Brings Salvation

It was Tuesday and I was heading to Cheyenne to get my subwoofers replaced in my pickup. Earlier in the month, I had problems with them shorting out while playing music to one of the gangs I was witnessing to. The shop that does my work happens to be in Cheyenne, Wyoming. I was doing 75 mph on Interstate 25 just as my King would want me to. I signaled left to pass a lady in the right-hand lane. As I went around her and signaled right to go back into the right hand lane, my front driver side tire blew out. I mean this tire did not just leak out slowly. It just literally blew up and my rim was running down the highway. When the tire exploded, it broke my front brake line. As I depressed the brake pedal, nothing happened. I just ended up coasting until my pickup came to a complete stop. This disaster occurred at a good time. The highway was not heavy with traffic and no one else was on the shoulder for me to have to worry about hitting. That was a miracle in itself. I-25 is usually pretty busy with traffic. I did notice pieces flying off my tire on the left hand side of my pickup. Nobody ran into those flying pieces as they shot across the passing lane. Again, I praised the Lord for that miracle.

I turned my hazard lights on and got out of my pickup to inspect the damage. I was going to try to put my spare on to drive to a safer location but I found out when I customized my wheels that I did not do the same thing with my spare tire so it did not fit. All these years I’ve been doing this ministry, I have never had any flats or any roadside breakdowns. I had gotten careless and never checked my spare. And like most of us would, I looked up and asked, “Lord, what’s the reason of giving me a flat today.” He responded, “Sonny, just wait and you will understand.” I began my wait to see what my King was going to show me. I had road hazard warranty on my tires so I call Les Schwab to see what they could do about my tire. It did take them 40 minutes to get here but what was amazing is what happened during that 40 minutes while I was waiting.

A young farmer and his wife pulled up to see if I needed any help. He said, “We saw you with your flashing lights on and we were concerned and wanted to see if you needed any help. God has always told us to help people who are stranded.”

I said, “I have help coming but I have found out that my spare tire will not fit on my pickup. That is my fault. I should have been more responsible at making sure that I had a good spare. My King always protects me.”

The farmer said, “You must be a Christian. Do you think we should wait here for you until someone shows up?”

I said, “You probably don’t have to. But I would like to ask you a question before you leave. Do you have anything I could pray for you about?”

The farmer exclaimed, “You are stranded here and yet it is more important to you to pray for me. That is pretty awesome. You must be a true man of God.” He thought about it for a second then said, “We could use a fresh anointing from God.”

I prayed over them and as I finished I said, “It is okay if you leave. God is faithful and he has help coming.” They then prayed for me before they left. I went back into my pickup to sit down and continue to wait for Les Schwab to show up.

A highway patrolman and his partner pulled up behind me when he saw my flashing lights. The officer asked, “Do you have help coming?”

I said, “Yes, I have a tow truck coming. Les Schwab is coming to see if they could do anything first.” Before they left the scene, I then asked, “Is there is anything I could pray for you about? I continually pray for law enforcement and have Bible studies with them.”

The officer said, “Wow! Yes you can pray for us. You can pray for us to become better fathers and husbands. Even just to be better human beings so that the people around us can see the light of Jesus Christ in us. But we really want to rededicate our lives to Jesus Christ again.” The highway patrolman had a rookie patrolman with him and they both rededicated their hearts to Jesus Christ.

The rookie then spoke up and said, “Actually, this is the first time I have ever given my heart to Jesus Christ. It’s not rededicating but making a full commitment to him. You are pretty bold here. You are broke down and yet you are sharing Jesus Christ with us. I want to know God like you know him.” At this moment the rookie started crying. It was pretty awesome what my King was doing at this moment. I prayed over all of them again. Then the senior highway patrolman prayed over me. After they left, I got back into my pickup.

The man from Les Schwab finally got here and pulled up behind me. He said, “Hey Sonny, how’s it going.” I began to show him what happened. He then said, “Oh my gosh Sonny that looks bad.”

I said, “I don’t even have any brakes either.”

He checked and noticed the smashed brake line and broken shock. He then said, “I came to see if you needed any help. It is hot outside, why don’t you wait in my truck where it’s air-conditioned and we’ll wait for the tow truck together?”

He looked at me and asked, “Is God really a forgiving God like you say he is? I have done a lot of bad things. I don’t know if God can really forgive me.”

I replied, “You have to ask him for forgiveness first before he can forgive you. He will then forgive you and then he will forget it.”

He said, “I am a Christian man but I am starting to roller coaster. I’m always up and down; one foot in the world and one foot in God’s Kingdom. I do not like what I have become.”

I said, “My God is faithful. He has never left you or forsaken you.” So I prayed over him.

He then said, “Sonny, I’ve got to go.”

I replied, “Thank you for waiting with me.”

The tow truck driver showed up as he was beginning to leave. He told the tow truck driver to deliver my pick up to the Les Schwab store. He had made a list of all the things that needed to be done and knew that towing was my only option. The tow truck backed up to my pickup and started loading it on the bed. He said, “Wow man! That tire really blew up. I have never seen one blow up like this tire did. What really is amazing is that the rim rolled on the flat tire. The rim never even had a chance to touch the pavement.”

I said, “That is definitely a miracle. A new rim costs around $300.”

The tow truck driver said, “Someone is looking after you.”

I said, “It is God. God protected me through all this.”

He then asked, “You even thank God even when you get a flat tire?”

I said, “It is for a reason. That is how I see it.”

The tow truck driver said, “That is impressive to be able to think like that.”

I had a chance to ride with him as he delivered my pickup to Les Schwab. He looked over and asked, “So are you a minister? Do you minister to gangs all over the United States?”

I said, “Yes I do.”

The tow truck driver then shared, “I am now divorced. My wife left me and I have no idea where she is at. We had been married forever and for some reason she just quit.”

I said, “Let me pray for you so that God will bring joy back into your heart.”

He then said, “I really miss my children.”

I said, “I know how that goes. It happened to me too. When you are around your kids just love them. That is what I do. I just love them. I don’t get to see them as often as I would like but God has a purpose for everything. You have to keep your faith in God and let him do everything else.”

The tow truck driver said, “I really needed to hear that.”

When we got to Les Schwab he gave his heart to God. He started crying. He said, “I don’t cry ever. Why am I crying?”

I said, “It’s okay. It is the Holy Spirit healing your heart.”

He then said, “I really need this.”

I said, “You are the reason I got this flat.” I shared everything else that happened this day. I told him about how God revealed himself to the highway patrolman and the other young man.

He then asked, “So you are not mad at God for all this?”

I said, “No, He let all this happen so that I could witness to you. And to them.”

The tow truck driver said, “I want to know God like you know him.”

I said, “Open the word of God everyday. God is not a religion but he is a relationship.” As he finished unloading my pickup, he left to do another tow. This definitely goes down as one of the more interesting days doing this ministry. My King gets the Glory and the Victory.

I received a text from the man the next day. He went out and bought a Bible and began reading it. He said that he felt a lot better about himself. The next Saturday he was planning to spend time with his kids at the park.

Shaolin Monks

April 7, 2021
It was Wednesday and I was heading down to do the Highway Patrolmen’s women Bible study. As I was approaching Denver, my King said, “Sonny, you need to buy some fruit at King Soopers.” I preceded to go to the closest King Soopers from where I was at. I pulled into the parking lot and walked into the store and picked up oranges and bananas as my King requested. As I began checking out, he said, “Make sure at you pick up a $50 gift card also.” When I walked back to my pickup, I noticed three shaolin priests observing my truck. You could tell who they were from their orange robes and they were all barefoot. They continued talking back and forth as they watched me unlock my pickup. One of them asked, “Is this your pickup?” I said, “Yes it is.” He then asked, “So your name is Sonny as it is written on the side of the pickup.” I acknowledged him. He then asked, “Why is that scripture on my pickup?” I have Isaiah 41:10 written on the door panel. That scripture says:

10 So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

“So this is what your God says” he replied. I said, “Yes. He is the one that created both you and me.” He retorted, “We believe in Buddha.” I immediately replied, “He is a fake God.” The power of the Holy Spirit did not let them talk about Buddha anymore. They were more concerned about what happened before I arrived at my pickup. They asked, “We have a question for you. What is this wall around your pickup? We tried to get closer to see what else is on your pickup but we hit some kind of barrier that keeps us twelve feet from your pickup. We have never experienced anything like this.” I watched their hand bounce off the barrier as they tapped at it.

I said, “That wall is Jesus Christ. He represents God’s Kingdom that protects my pickup.” They asked, “But what is it?” I replied, “It is the power of God’s Kingdom. It protects me as it protects my pickup.”
Since we serve the one true God, that means all other gods are the devil in disguise. I directed them to show them what else was on my truck but my King would not let them near my pickup or to come into contact with me. They confirmed this and said, “No, we cannot get closer.” They continue to hit the wall with their hands. They had difficulty understanding who the true God is. They asked, “Are you using magic?” I said, “No, it is Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. You are experiencing their power. Jesus Christ is the son of Yahweh and his name is Joshewa. You guys serve a fake god. It is a stone made from man’s hands that looks like a fat guy that is just someones art project. My King is real.” They then asked, “How do you know he’s real?”

I said, “Take a look at your right hand. See these veins on my hand.” They said, “We have the same thing.” I said, “We have the same God who created us.” They then asked, “How come we are different than you?”

I said, “It’s because you come from a different country. We are to serve the one God who created us. Look at the stars. People claim that they just appeared. No, the stars did not just appear. The true God knows all of them by name.” They said, “Boy, you must be an noble guy to your God. We see that you have a lot of respect for him just like we do to Buddha.”

I said, “Let me tell you about how powerful your Buddha is. Yesterday I went to a Chinese restaurant. There was an inflated Buddha in their front yard. I cut the string and Buddha took off from that front yard. Everyone wanted to smile when the fake god took off. A Chinese guy who worked in the restaurant questioned me and asked me why I did that. I told him I do not want a fake god in front of me. His answer was Buddha cost him a lot of money. I told him all I see it is a fake god and you see him as money. You are serving a fake god.” I looked the priest’s eyes to make sure they were paying attention. I said, “We are going to see Jesus Christ face to face.” I then asked, “Are you guys good swimmers?” The priests said, “We know how to swim very well.”

I said, “Swimming in a Lake of Fire for eternity does not sound like very much fun. This is what this Bible says. It is not what I say.” The priests said, “Tell us more about this wall.”

I said, “When you ask for forgiveness of all your sins and ask God to transform your heart. He will transform your heart and establish a relationship with you. He will protect you wherever you go. The wall you are running into is his hands surrounding me and my pickup. He protects me as I minister to gangs all over the United States. Gangs are people that nobody wants to talk to. But this is my ministry to bring Jesus Christ to those individuals.” One priest said, “Gangs are boys that have no discipline.”

I said, “That is true. But they are also broken and lost. They are lost just like you. You will never be able to tell anyone that nobody came to you to tell about the love of Jesus Christ. I have just revealed this to you. He created you for his purpose not for your own desires.” He replied, “Ok. This is interesting.” I do not think he was paying attention to me. The priest continued to bang his hand on the wall that was surrounding me and my pickup. He was still not understanding the experience of a real God. Even worse, of not accepting him to prevent a residence at the Lake of Fire.

I said, “Watch this.” I placed my hand out towards his hand and was within a couple of inches of touching his hand. My King would not allow me to touch him directly so he kept me about two inches away from his hand. He said, “I still do not get it.” They challenged me further and asked if I could stand behind their car. I said, “I can do that.” I walked over and stood behind their car. They thought since I left the vicinity of my truck that the field would not be there. They come up and tried to touch me. Again they could not get within 12 feet of me. I told them that wall that you are encountering always goes with me. Just because I move does not make a difference. The Holy Spirit is in me and is part of my life. I get his protection as gift of serving him. Then I showed him that the Holy Spirit is protecting you from me.

I said, “Watch again. I will walk up to you but you cannot walk up to me.” So I immediately started walking toward him and raised my hand towards his hand. I could almost touch him but the Lord said not to come into direct contact with him to keep a barrier between our hands so they could not come into contact with each other.

About that time their nephew came from the store. His uncle asked him to come here and feel the wall. The nephew couldn’t figure out what he was talking about because he couldn’t see anything. As he approached my pickup, he too had his hand blocked by the power of the Holy Spirit. He looked at me and asked “What is this? Are you some kind of evil man?” I said, “No. My King protects me and puts a shield around me.” He then replied, “It’s a magic trick.”

I said, “No. It is the power of Jesus Christ that you are experiencing.” The nephew looked at his uncle in fear and said, “Let’s go. We need to leave now.” The nephew left immediately and headed to their vehicle. But the uncles continue to stare at my pickup trying to figure out what the wall really was. They still had a tough time believing that any god would have this kind of power. They said, “We can not see it.”

I said, “You cannot see it unless you come on my side.”

They said, “We can not come on your side.”

I said, “Oh yes you can. All you have to do is ask Jesus Christ for forgiveness of your sins. Then ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart. After that you will be able to walk through the wall.” They asked, “Is that true?”

I said, “Do you want your names written in the Lambs Book of Life? Yes or No.” They said, “We must go.” I gave each of them a ministry card as the began to leave.

I said, “Let me pray for you guys before you go.” They said, “We will talk to you soon Sonny.” They climbed into their car and left. These monks are so brainwashed; it’s not even funny. It is going to be a challenge for them to understand the true God. If you ever get at a crossroads, it is imperative that we choose God’s Kingdom and not the world. One leads to eternal misery. The other leads to God’s Kingdom. I caught one of the monks starting to cry as he took the card. I could see a tear in his eye as he wiped it away.

You are probably still wondering about the fruit that I purchased before all this happened. I was still holding the bag in my hand as they left. I had picked up two bundles of bananas and a big bag of those cuties. As I was standing there alone, an old van pulled up by me. There was a family with three kids in it. When the side door opened, an eight year old boy exclaimed, “Those are bananas and oranges. They looks so good.” I said, “These are for you.” The parents said, “Our kids have been asking for oranges and bananas ever since we left the house. We were getting tired of hearing about it. We were gonna stop by the store just to pick up four bananas and four oranges.” I then handed the parents the $50 gift card. I had $102 left in my emergency fund and my King said, “I want you to give that to them also.” What is interesting about all this is that the wife already made a list of things that she wanted to buy at the grocery store. The husband said, “Why are you doing that? We can’t afford to buy any of that stuff.” She replied, “Because God told me to make this list. I was being obedient to him.” We are talking about faith here. Many times we don’t receive anything it is because we do not speak it out. Even in Genesis, it talks about the Holy Spirit moving across the darkness. Until God spoke it “Let there be light.” did something happen. We need to apply the same principles in our own lives. Believe it and you will receive it as long as it is not contrary to God’s word or your own destruction. She said, “I created this list and now we are going to be able to receive it. The oldest daughter, who is named Martha, asked, “Are we actually going to be able to get groceries.” Her parents said, “Yes.” They then looked at me and said, “You can have your oranges and bananas back. We can now go buy our own.” I said, “No, these are for you.” I was standing by the sliding door when their little boy jumped into the air into my arms as I caught him. He had already eaten some of the bananas and oranges that I gave them. I looked on as they went into the store. I serve an awesome God. He gives me many opportunities to bless people and witness to others.

At lunch time on Thursday, the nephew called and said, “You messed up my uncle’s a lot.” I replied, “I did not mess them up. It was the Holy Spirit.” The nephew said they went and talked to my grandfather Hiroshi and the body of our organization. They told them what happened. They got the curiosity of everybody up and they are wanting to know more about that wall that the uncle’s encountered. They wanted me to come on Saturday after 10 a.m. to discuss the wall. I said, “I will be there man.” The nephews then warned, “Our grandpa, Heroshi, has four bodyguards around him. Do not touch or get close to him. Those guys will hit you. They are mean.”

I said, “Whatever my King tells me to do I will do it even if that means getting close to your grandpa.” He gave me further instructions about where the location of the house was. The home was in South Parker and he said it has a huge parking lot in front of the house. He warned me that when I walk through the gate that I needed to take my shoes off. They do not allow anyone to wear shoes in the area of the home. I said, “My King has no problem with me taking my shoes off. The Holy Spirit will not leave me because I do.”

April 13

On Saturday, my King had me prepare a rice and vegetable dish to bring to them. I called ahead and told them I was bringing dinner. It was 2 p.m. when I arrived at monks home. I was greeted at the gate by four hostile guards. They begin telling me that I needed to get the heck out of here right away as they drew their swords. The nephew came just in time and said, “You let him in. He is scheduled to be here. The nephew had me drive up to the beautiful home and park in the middle of the huge circle in the front of the house. I noticed two of those big Buddha balloons flying in the air nearby. My King said, “I do not like them either. I want you to cut them loose.” I definitely do serve a jealous God. He does not want any other gods before him. I cut the strings with my knife. I watched as they went up into the air. When they reached an altitude of three hundred feet, they exploded. It was as though they had hydrogen in them. My King destroyed them up at the same time. The explosion was great enough that it threw rubber pieces all over the place. The guards were extremely angry at what I did but yet they could do nothing because my King would not allow them to do anything. I put my knife back in my pickup.

The younger adults came out in the commotion to introduce themselves to me but my King had already put up the shield around my pickup and around me. Nobody present in the compound could get within 12 feet of me or my pickup. They started asking me questions of this shield that was around my pickup. They were thoroughly fascinated with it. Again, as I explained to the three monks the previous day, that it is the Kingdom of Jesus Christ that is surrounding my pickup. The god that you serve is evil and my God does not want him near me. I continued talking to the parents for a while about Jesus Christ and how he created this wall of protection around me. I begin praying over the families that God would reveal himself to them and that they would understand what the kingdom of Jesus Christ is. These people have been brainwashed so long about Buddha that it was difficult for them to grasp the concept of John 3:16.

Soon the grandparents came out and everyone got down on their knees and bowed down before them. I remained standing because I will never bow to anyone but Yahweh and Joshewa. They told me that it is in our culture and the honorary thing to bow down before the high monk. I said, “I will never bow to anyone in any culture but the one true God of Jesus Christ”. Normally, no man could get away with what I did here. My King brought me here and protected me. No one had the power to come against me. Hiroshi asked, “What did you bring us?”

I said, “My King had me bring a rice dish that you will love.” He liked what I brought and said, “I will let your insubordination go this time.” The Holy Spirit revealed to me things about about the grandma and grandpa.

I said, “Your wife was ten years old and you were twelve. You both served Jesus Christ for two years. Both of your parents were beheaded for serving God. You both became angry at God because of this and decided to serve Buddha.” I brought up this fact in front of everyone that both of them once worshipped Jesus Christ. This really upset the people who were there because they were told that the grandparents always worshipped Buddha. They said to them that he was the only god. The grandparents had been exposed. Hiroshi decided to leave the scene.

As I finished sharing with the adults, a bunch of the families kids came over to greet me. They walked right through the shield and stood right by me. You should have seen the expressions on the parents faces when their kids were not stopped by the shield. The parents tried calling their kids back right away but I said, “Leave them alone. Let the children come unto me.” I got in the center of all the kids and sat down on the ground in the middle of them. They started to ask questions. I began telling them about Jesus Christ. The kids surrounding me were between 8 and 19 years old. I started talking to about what I did and about Blue Mustang’s part. They then asked me if he drives a blue Mustang and I confirmed it was so. The one little kid said, “That is so cool. I would like to have nickname.” He tried thinking about a cool nickname but soon gave up. He finally said, “I think I want to be Blue Mustang.” So he told everyone his new name. I continued to speak about Jesus Christ to the kids and a lot of them wanted to give their lives to Jesus Christ. I do understand that some of them are too young yet to know what kind of commitment they’re making but I’ve heard many young kids who have become very powerful serving my King at a young age. The parents kept testing the wall and finally asked, “How is it that our kids can come to you and we can’t?”

I said, “Your children’s hearts are still pure. They have not been defiled by your god. If you ask for forgiveness and turn your hearts over to Jesus Christ, you too will be able to come and stand by me.”

Hiroshi came back. Even though he was still perplexed about the wall around my pickup, he was sure Buddha would give him the power to get through my King’s wall. At first he sent some of his bodyguards out. He sent out two and they hit the wall. They said, “We can’t move any further.” Then he sent out two more into the wall and they said, “We cannot move any further.” Of course, Hiroshi thought he was like a god and that he would be able to penetrate it. He too walked into the wall. He sheepishly said, “I cannot go any further.” They were all becoming scared because they had no idea what was happening and they escorted me out of the home. Later that evening, I was going to get a phone call from one of the men at the residence to meet me at the park on Sunday. I agreed to meet him.

April 14

I arrived at that Park on Sunday to talk to him. As we were talking about Jesus, for the next 40 minutes almost 200 people showed up. There was a lot of talk going amongst them as I left the house the previous day. When they found out one family was going to see me, they all had their curiosity aroused and started calling each other about that family’s plan and started coming. When they arrived, they were all dressed up in their monk costumes and were barefoot. They started blowing up these helium Buddha balloons. Again, I do serve a jealous God and he had me cut the strings on the balloons. Again, as the balloons hit about the 300 foot altitude they all exploded. It was amazing to watch. I would cut one string; it would go up and explode. I would cut the next one and it would do the same thing. Each one exploded precisely at the 300 foot mark. Helium balloons do not explode in the lower atmosphere like that. They continue to go a lot higher but my King was destroying them. To show he is real, he destroyed them at the same altitude each time. The Holy Spirit had already restored the shield around me and my pickup. The first thing everyone did was to test to see if the wall was still there. They definitely could not come within 12 ft of me. I continue to add answer a lot of their questions and talking about Jesus Christ. Finally two of the monks gave their life to Jesus Christ at the park and everyone left. I wasn’t going to hear from anyone else until Friday.

April 16th

On Friday, Hiroshi called me and asked me if I could bring him a Bible. I said I would be there later that evening to bring him one. After I gave the undercover police Bible study, I was about ready to leave. They undercover police asked me if I would take the 21 extra pizzas they had for the monks. I warned them that they normally only eat certain vegetables and rice dishes. I am not sure whether they would eat pizza or not. But I went ahead and brought them with me anyway. I headed back to their home in Parker. When I arrived, it was a cool sight. I could see what look like runway lights but instead they were torches lighting the path to the home. Each torch was held by a guard. The guards escorted me on foot to the house. The monks were still thinking that the power source was radiating from my pickup so I had to walk. The driveway was about a 150 yards long and there were 20 guards on each side with a flaming torch in their left hand and a sword in the right hand. Their blades looked extremely sharp. They physically had their swords pointing at me as I was walking to the house. They were afraid of me because of the King’s shield. I physically had my Bible drawn and pointing back at them while my King had me pray for them while making the trek.

As I was escorted into the Hiroshi’s room, this weird stone Buddha was lit in a strange light. The Holy Spirit in me did not want to look at the image so I positioned myself to talk to him with the statue to my back. I then handed him the Bible he asked for. I then said, “You served Jesus Christ for two years between the ages of 10 and 12. All that time you served him well. Even now you and your wife both still have your Bibles packed away in your suitcases. Are you ready to begin serving him again?” He replied, “I have kept a journal from when I was young.” The guard who was with Hiroshi was listening to what was being said. He joined in the conversation and said, “I remember when you shared your journal with me a year ago that you talked about the time you served Jesus Christ. Are we going to serve him?” Hiroshi could not give him a straight answer and replied, “I want to study the Bible further before I make my decision.” He made everyone leave the room but me.

I said, “Just remember tomorrow is never promised. Your salvation is at stake.” Hiroshi and I spent some more time talking together about Jesus Christ then he called the guards to escort me out. Hiroshi told me to go. His guards then surrounded me and directed me to the door. While the guards escorted me back to my pickup, they did not have their swords drawn. They started talking to me and asking me questions. They commented on when I prayed for them what an experience that was for them. We started even joking around a little bit and they started laughing. I said, “You guys live in here in America. It’s good for you to laugh.” When I got closer to my pickup I asked them if they wanted pizza. They gave me this strange look and said we’ve never had pizza before. They won’t allow us to have it so we don’t want want it.” But when I got to my pickup, I set the pizzas out on my tail gate. Soon, they started smelling the pizza. They started looking at each other hoping someone would make the first move. Soon they were all starting to chow down the pizzas. Some of the pizzas had jalapenos on them and I was wondering what that kind of diet could do to their digestive system. I got some of the pop and water out of my cooler. I dumped it into these big bowls. I dumped my ice too. Most of them never even had pop. They really love the Dr Pepper. They continue to enjoy the food as I continue talking to them about Jesus Christ and how much he loves them. Soon the captain said, “I would never harm you even if I was ordered to. You are an honorable man.” Soon the captain called the rest of the guards down to enjoy the pizza. He made up an excuse for them to come down to investigate something. Soon the entire guard was down there eating that pizza and drinking my pop and water. I started asking questions about them. They shared with me that they’ve been doing this job between four and five years. None of them have seen their families once during this time. When they all began to think about that, the laughter turned into a kind of sadness.

I said, “It is time for you guys to go and see your families.” They replied, “We might lose rank by doing so.”

I said, “Are your families more important to you than your rank?” They looked at me and nodded; acknowledging inside their minds that I was correct. I then changed the subject back to food after they devoured everything I brought. I then said, “Have you ever had burritos?” They replied, “We have seen pictures of them on the internet and they look good but we’ve never had the access to them.” I told them that I would make them burritos if they wanted to come down to the park tomorrow. They began making arrangements to do so.

April 24

The head Guard gave me a phone call and asked me about my burritos. He said, “We have never had a burrito before. Could you make us some today.”

I said, “I can make you some.” He added, “With sausage and eggs.” I said, “With all of that. There is one condition. You have to meet me at the park; not at the mansion.” They said, “We only have two hours off.”

I replied, “Your schedule will work fine for me.” All 40 of the guards showed up at the park. That was definitely an interesting sight. Seeing 40 men dressed in red robes, barefoot and carrying Samurai swords, would definitely draw attention. They came up to greet me but still could not get within 12 feet of me. They said, “We are excited to try some burritos. We only get to eat scrambled eggs and vegetables for breakfast.”

I said, “You don’t even eat Captain Crunch cereal.” They looked at me funny and said, “What is that.”

I said, “Where are you guys from never to experience Captain Crunch cereal. You got to have some Captain Crunch cereal with milk.” I knew that none of the guards have ever tried it so I went ahead and brought Captain Crunch cereal and milk along with the burritos. I laid out the burritos first. The captain of the guard said, “Is that what a tortilla looks like?” I nodded my head. When the guards took their first bite of a burrito, you should have seen their eyes open wide because they have never had an experience like this. My burritos have Jalapenos in them so they are a little spicy. I asked them about that. They too love spicy food. They have some peppers that are nice and hot that can match our peppers. All of them said, “These burrito sure are good.” The way they commented on the burritos, I could tell the two dozen burritos they ate were not enough. They sheepishly asked, “Do you have any more?” I did have more in my pickup that I take for the gangs. I brought them out for them to eat. By the time they were done with these they had consumed four dozen burritos. I had some pop and water in my pickup. Those guys really went for Dr Pepper again. I then brought out the Captain Crunch cereal with the milk. They loved that also. Now that their stomachs were full they started asking me questions.

The head guard looked intently at me then asked, “Can you tell me more about the Holy Spirit? We are trained to fight the enemy. We are taught how to penetrate any kind of enemy. But with you we are forced to stay 12 feet from you. We hit a wall.”

I said, “The Holy Spirit is a force given to us by our King. When he rose from the dead, the Holy Spirit was sent by him. He can give peace or that power you experienced. That power protects me.” The head guard still had trouble grasping what I was saying. He then asked, “What kind of power is that?”

I said, “No man, including me or machine can produce this wall. It is the Holy Spirit from the living God. The reason you have not seen this is because you have been serving a fake god. I ask my living God for protection and he has assigned seven angels to watch over me and clear my path to bring his word to the gangs and the down trodden. This wall of protection you are experiencing may even be from those angels.” The guard asked, “Are they real angels?”

I said, “Yes! You cannot see them but you did feel them when you ran into them thinking you hit the wall. That was them that you were experiencing. The guard said, “I want to experience that kind of power.”

I said, “First, you have to willing to surrender your heart to King. Next, ask him for the forgiveness of your sins. Follow this by giving your heart over to him. Finally, you have to start living for him. When you do that, you will experience the same kind of power that you witnessed today. From now on you will be serving only Yahweh. You cannot bow down to any man; whoever it is. Man is NOT a god. You still need to continue to respect your leaders. This greatly pleases our King when you respect authority that does not come against him.” The guard then said, “These are our weapons.” He began brandishing the sword in his hand, gracefully.

I said, “This is my weapon.” I brandished my Bible before him but maybe not as graceful but more powerfully. Then he asked, “How can I become a man like you.” I emphasized what I said previously about giving your whole heart to King. But again they were wanting to have the same power that I had like it came from a machine. Again, I had to explain, “It is not me but it is Jesus Christ in me who provides this power. Without him, I am as weak as anyone else.” They were beginning to understand. The head guard and his men decided that it is time to turn their lives over to Jesus Christ. They began to realize Buddha is a fake god. They said, “After getting this power, we want to go home to cause a movement like this in China and Japan.”

Again I said, “Focus on Jesus Christ and listen to him. The power comes with obedience to him.” They then said, “Okay! Did you bring us any Bibles?”

I said, “Yes I did.” Even though they came from Asia, they all new English well. So they had no problem reading our English Bibles. I then asked them, “All of you who want your names written in the Lamb’s Book of Life cross this line.” The guards looked down and said, “We don’t see a line.” Just remember that they have not given their hearts to Jesus Christ yet and that 12 foot barrier is preventing them coming to me. But after they made the choice, this began to change. They took seven steps forward. In their culture when they surrender their lives to somebody, they hold their swords with both hands and they began offering them up to me. I said, “You are not surrendering to me. You are surrendering them to Jesus Christ. Hold them up to him.” They started to hold their swords high. I then asked, “Do you believe that Jesus died on the cross for you?” They said, “We have heard about Jesus Christ doing that but we have never accepted it.” I said, “Jesus did die on that cross and his shed blood was for you this very day.” After they confessed the sinner’s prayer, many of them started crying. The head guard asked, “Why are we crying? We don’t cry!”

I said, “It is the Holy Spirit inside of you transforming your heart. Just close your eyes and let the Holy Spirit continue what he is doing.” All of the guards began to close their eyes. They’ve been trained not to close their eyes for their own protection and the one they serve. They were giving their lives to Jesus Christ and trusting in him. They all closed their eyes completely. I continued praying for all of them. After I finished, they asked, “Now what do we do?”

I said, “Now that you have surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, you need to follow him daily. It is about a relationship not a religion. You now need to read your Bible and pray to him daily.” One of the guards asked, “I do not know how my wife in China is going to take this.”

I said, “When you die, you will not stand before your wife but you will be standing before Jesus Christ.” As time continued passing, they could not stop crying. They asked, “Why can we not stop crying. We are warriors.”

I said, ” I am saved; but I am not soft either. God made us all warriors for his Kingdom. We stand in the promises of God.” They then asked, “Are you from this world? Because the way you talk scares us.”

I replied, “My words should not scare you but they should bring peace to you. At one time my heart was ripped out of me. That is the reason why Jesus has my entire heart.” They then asked, “Are you scared of us.”

I said, “No, my King is bigger than you are.” They did not ask any more questions. Now it’s the big moment. They were concerned about going to go back and telling Heroshi about what they just did. I then said, “Let us go to him together.” We went back to the home and the guards escorted me to his room where he was at. All of his men stood upright before Hiroshi as they presented themselves. Hiroshi just looked at all of them. Normally, they bow down when they encounter his presence but they would not bow. The lead guard said, “We cannot bow down before you anymore Hiroshi. We only bow down to our new King who is called Yahweh.”

His guards did not know what to expect but the encounter I had last night with Hiroshi changed his life. When I handed him the Bible, he did not answer the guards question about accepting Jesus Christ. He had everybody leave the room. The Holy Spirit was beginning to convict his heart as he read some of the passages in the Bible. Soon he said, “I want to know the God that you know. I want to rededicate my heart to him.” He began asking for forgiveness of his sin and the rededication of his heart to Jesus Christ. He began to cry as the Holy Spirit started releasing the garbage in his life. But he did not tell anybody what he had done. So Hiroshi totally understood where his guards were coming from. Hiroshi said, “I know. I too only bow down to Yahweh also. I remember when I felt his presence when I was twelve. Sonny reminded me that God never left me but I’d left him.” After that confession everyone in the room began crying as the Holy Spirit began moving. After hearing them cry. Heroshi’s wife, Rosalyn, came out and asked what was going on. Hiroshi said, “Jesus Christ lives in my heart now. I walked away from him. I am never going to walk away from him again.” Rosalyn asked, “Does that mean with that we are going to serve Jesus Christ now.” Hiroshi said, “I am. But the choice is yours. If you want to serve him, you have to make that decision. Don’t you remember that when we were younger, we both loved and served him. When you were 10 years old, you got baptized along with me.”

His wife wasn’t quite ready to make the commitment. She looked at me and said, “You seem to know an awful lot about Hiroshi. But what do you know about me? If you really know your God like you say, you will know things about me.” I said, “You were both handing out flyers as you walked behind your missionary parents that had John 3:16 on them. The soldiers then came and started pushing both of your parents around. They made your parents bow down before them. That’s where they beheaded them as you both watched.” She began crying. I than said, “Have you ever told your husband that you were adopted. Those were not your real parents.” Hiroshi exclaimed, “Were you really adopted? No way!” She said, “I was really adopted. My parents did not want me. I just did not want you to know that.” She then looked at me and said, “You definitely do serve the true God. Nobody knows the secret about me being adopted. I surrender to Jesus Christ. You have to be led by God in order for you to know what you revealed to me.” His wife came over and hugged me. She begin to have a release of knowing the true God again. She has been held prisoner by the fake god Buddha for a long time. She began to feel peace as Jesus restored her heart again. Hiroshi then confirmed that he still loved her and said, “I do not care whether you were adopted or not. Now we need to find your parents if they’re still alive.”

With all the commotion going on, the other adults in the house started coming out of their rooms. Remember there was approximately 200 people living here. They asked, “Hiroshi and Rosalyn, why are you crying.” They replied, “We have rededicated our hearts to Jesus Christ. We are not going to bow down to this fat thing anymore.” I know this is a solemn situation but I had to hold the laughter back when he said, “fat thing”. The adults asked, “Are we going to serve Jesus Christ also?” The grandparents said, “It is your choice. Only you can decide that.” It was getting crowded where I was standing. I walked over to the other side of the room to ask the others if they wanted to get their names written the Lamb’s Book of Life. Just remember, I have already talked to these people on our first encounter on who Jesus Christ is. Since the wall is still up, I said, “I cannot go over to you. You have to come over to me if you want your name written there.” They all raise their hands and started coming towards me. As done in their culture, they started to bow down in front of me. I said, “No! Do not bow before any man. But it is okay to bow your head in reverence to our King.” Hiroshi and Rosalyn we’re listening in the corner where they were standing. They then came over while I was talking to them. They took over and led the rest of the adults there to Jesus Christ.

The head guard came over and stood by me and said, “I am never going to worship that thing again. I’m going to stand with you and only worship our King.” The other guards asked, “What does this mean for our lives when we go back to China and Japan.” I said, ” our King will go with you and before you.” After the parents gave their lives over to Jesus Christ, they went to the childrens rooms and woke all of them up and had them come out. As the kids were standing together in the room, the parents said, “We are now serving Jesus Christ. We do not want to force this on you but we wants you to decide on your own.” The kids smiled while looking at their parents and said, “We have already willingly given our lives to Jesus Christ at the park. We have been praying for all of you since then.” One mom ask her kid, “Did you really give your life to Jesus Christ already?” Their kid replied, “Mommy, my name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. I have been reading the Bible that Mr. Sonny has given us. My favorite story is Noah. Mom you need to read about Noah.” They rest all talked about surrendering their lives to Jesus Christ. I stepped in and said, “Surrender is only part of it. Now it is time for everyone to start living for Jesus Christ. When you go back to your country you need to start spreading the word to the people you left back there.” Like Moses made excuses not to go back to Egypt they did likewise. They said, “We could get in trouble for doing that.” I said, “It is better to get in trouble with man then be in trouble with our King by being disobedient.”

Hiroshi then called his brother in Colorado Springs and told him that he wanted to sell the house and move back to China. He said, “We have given our hearts to King and feel we need to go home.” Heroshi’s brother was a challenge. He called and attacked me for what I
was spreading. He said, “After they killed our parents, I made a vow to myself to never serve God again.” I said, “You worship Buddha as he is God yet you say you will never serve God. Not only is your statement false but you serve a fake god. You have experienced the power of the real God at the park.” I had him thinking about what he said to me. Soon his phone calls began to change as I shared the love of my King. His last phone call he gave his life to the true King. He said, ” After I seen the truth, I gave my life to Jesus Christ also over the phone. I love God and I want to serve him. I will buy the house.”

I am still getting calls from them asking questions about serving the true God. Until the adults gave their life to Jesus Christ they could not get near me or my pickup. My King does not like what other religions represent because they are not backed by anything.

A good example of this is when Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal. He said let the real God consume the wood on the altar. Elijah let them go first. They sat there praying to their fake god and cut themselves to show their dedication to him but nothing happened. Elijah had some fun and said maybe you need to talk louder he may be sitting on the pooper. But nothing happened. Elijah said, “It my turn. Hey let’s make it more challenging. Pour water on the wood and get it wet. After they had it thoroughly drenched, Elijah prayed to the real God and immediately the fire from heaven came down and consumed the wood on his Altar and the wood on their altar. Only the true God could do something like this.

As Buddhist monks they are evil to my King and he would not even think about letting them near me. But the children’s hearts haven’t been contaminated yet by the evil. My King allowed them to walk up to me with no hindrance. There is also a lesson here to realize how valuable are children are and we need to reach them before their hearts are contaminated. I have never done anything quite like this one but again my King gets the Glory and the Victory and I got to see it all.

First Women Gang

It is Saturday morning and I am going to be seeing a gang consisting of 35 women. This is the first time ever visited a gang that only had women in it. Earlier in the week, I bought supplies for the undercover women to make six dozen burritos for me. My King told me that these girls were going to be hungry. It was going to be close to a week before they received any income. After eating breakfast with Blue Mustang, I picked up the burritos from the undercover women and headed to their home. It was a large beautiful home that they were staying in. Have you ever wondered how gangs can get these homes? Most gangs would never survive a background check. The answer is: lay a big pile of cash in front of the landlord. This is the best kind of distraction. I have some idea how they get this kind of cash. Sometimes it is from rich families. Other times it comes from whatever activities they are involved in. It also appears that all the women who live here drive black Lexus automobiles. There are lots of them parked around the home.

It is now time for me to go to the door. The undercover police told me what to expect when I would see them. They said, “Sonny, the Leader is called Ninja. She has two Asian sisters that are thoroughly competent in the martial arts. They will take out anyone who threatens the Leader. So be careful in what you say.” My King has already been working on their hearts and he has given me the go. I knocked on the door. Like I am usually greeted by first time gangs, the girls that came to the door had their pistols drawn on me and sternly asked, “What do you want?” All the girls in this home looked beautiful. The body art I feel distracts from their true beauty but it will tell a story when they give their hearts to Jesus Christ. Their leader is a six foot tall blonde girl. She was being carefully watched by the Asian sisters. They kept their pistols pointed at me.

I said, “My King said that you are hungry. I have brought burritos for you to eat.” They were pretending like everything is cool here and did not believe that anyone would do this. I did not play their game. I said, “If you do not want the food I brought, I am going to take it to the homeless.” I started to turn around to leave. She said, “No! No! we are hungry. But don’t try anything funny or we will shoot you.” She just quoted my most given line. I gave her my usual response. I said, “Before you shoot me, let me pray for you and the rest of the girls.” She allowed me to do that. I set out the food and drinks that I had before praying for them. I read John 3:16 to them before I started praying. The Holy Spirit started giving me insight to each girl I was praying for. Ninja was listening to everything I said. It was now her turn. As I started to pray for here. She was having extreme difficulty in holding back the tears. She said, “Sonny, I want you to leave now.” I found out that they were rationing meals to get by. My King knew this and had me bring extra food to help them get by. I put the rest of the drinks in their almost bare refrigerator. I then turn around and left the house.

As I left the home, the Asian sisters wanted to talk to me. They said, “We were listening to what you said about witnessing to all the gangs in this city. You must know my brother. He goes by the name Bruce Lee. He looks so much like the real dude.” They then said, “He is presently all alone at a park in Commerce City. He is in a mess right now and we are worried that he is going to get killed. We hope that you could pray for him.” They gave me further description of the gang so that I would go to the right one.

I said, “I know this gang who you are talking about. I will go and see him. Tell him that I will be coming to see him.” I immediately headed to the park. Sure enough, I got saw a little Nissan all black car that he drives. I parked next to his car and saw him sitting on one of the little benches. I said, “It is pretty cold to be sitting here outside. Do you want to sit in my truck. My name is Sonny.”

Bruce said, “Yes, I remember you. My sister called and said you were coming. I would like to talk to somebody right now.” He got up of the bench and followed me to my pickup. I started my pickup to warm up the cab. He began sharing, “My boss asked me to do something that I just could not do. He cannot stand this all female gang that appeared in Denver. He wanted me to do a drive by shooting to get rid of them. My sisters are in this gang that I am supposed to hit. I love my sisters too much to do a drive by on them.”

I said, “I guess that you are out of the gang now.” He said, “Yes!”

I then said, “Did you ever think about joining another gang?” With a
puzzled look, he said, “Join a new gang.”

I said, “Yeah, a Christian gang.” Bruce said, “I don’t know if I can do that but I am ready to do something different.”

I said, “God did create you for a purpose in this life and it was not to be in a gang which leads to destruction. But he desires for you to have a freedom in Jesus Christ. My King will bless you for turning your life over to him.” Bruce responded, “I used to go to church when I was little. The first verse I remembered was John 3:16. I read that same verse to my sisters.” I began to realize that really must have hit his sisters in their hearts when I read it to them.

I said, “I am not going to pressure you to accept Jesus Christ but tomorrow is never promised. Today can be your day of Salvation. Your
decision will determine where you will spend eternity.” He said. “Yeah, I know about Salvation. I know about Jesus because I used to go to church. I did ask for forgiveness when I was little. But do I have to ask again.”

I answered, “Yes you do. Just openly confess what you have done and give your heart to him.” Bruce was starting to cry. My King has kept him safe. No one from his gang has come after him for disobeying the leader. Disobedience to any leader can cause the rest of the gang to lose respect. To prevent this from happening, some painful beating or death is initiated. Bruce began the process of giving his heart to Jesus Christ. He started praying to Jesus about the forgiveness of his sins. I could tell he has prayed before but he walked away from God when he was younger. He then called his sisters and told them what he just did. After he finished talking, he looked at me and said, “Hey Sonny, my sisters are coming to the park. They are leaving their gang also. We all want to go back to California. This life is way too dangerous. I’m gonna die out here. I have decided it is better to serve God than men.” When his sisters arrived, he shared more with them about he had done. They totally understood what he was talking about. They too knew the word from youth. The girls also started crying. They too were excited to go back home. The sisters said, “We have our bags already. We are going to go home with you.”

Bruce started speaking to his sisters and said, “Today is the day of Salvation. It is time for all of us to give our hearts to Jesus Christ.” His sisters too rededicated their hearts to Jesus Christ. Their families still did not know of their plans to come home and the rededication of their hearts to God. I said, “Why don’t you call your parents and tell them what you have just done.” They responded, “But Sonny, we didn’t leave on very good terms with our parents.”

I said, “That was yesterday. Today is a new day. You have been transformed by God.” They put their phones on speaker and called. The Mom answered the phone. She must have recognized the number and asked, “Are you OK?” They excitedly began talking about what just happened. The mom started crying. She asked, “Are you really coming home?” The dad heard the commotion and came to the phone and asked the same question. He then asked if I was still there. I answered, “Yes I’m here.” He started thanking me for my part in bringing his children home. He then said, “Anytime you want to come to San Jose, California, we have a place for you to stay.” He also began to tell me about the revival of God happening here in our city. He then said, “There are huge tents here in San Jose. We are taking people there to hear the preacher speak. This man is on fire for God.”

I said, “The man you are speaking about is Mario Murillo. He does have a heart for Jesus Christ. His desire is to transform the entire state of California under the kingship of Jesus Christ. The people of California are so hungry for Jesus that he sometimes cannot finish his message. He immediately has the alter call. He is definitely on fire for Jesus Christ.” I finished talking to their dad. They came towards me and gave me a big hug. My King had me go to Costco earlier to pick up granola bars and chips. I handed it over to them. I gave them all the cash that I had on me for miscellaneous expenses. I then said, “Let me fill up your car with gas.” We prayed and anointed the car for their return trip. After seeing them off, my King had me visit more gangs.

I went to pick up the food I needed before meeting them. My King had me take them donuts, orange juice, milk and some other breakfast supplies to them. I served up breakfast and began witnessing to them. I looked out the window and saw it starting to snow hard. It was continuously getting worse as I looked out from time to time. I now feel like I need to get home before it gets bad. So I began my trip home. But this is not what God wanted. He had me pull over to get off the road. Soon my phone rang. It was the leader of the girls gang. She sounded distraught. She said, “My bodyguards have left me and are going home just because what you said to them. I need to talk to you in person.”

I said, “I am heading your way now.” When I arrived, she opened the door for me to get out of the snow. I asked, “What is going on?”

She replied, “I do not know what’s going on in the hearts of my girls right now. But my girls are all ready to go home.” She sternly said, “I am not going home. We are going to stay here.” She not only was trying to act like a leader but was trying to justify why they were here in the first place.

I replied, “You cannot keep a bird caged up forever. Birds were meant to fly. When Jesus comes into your heart, he transform it and now they are ready to fly.” She then replied, “I do not understand what’s going inside of me.”

I said, “It is Jesus knocking at your door trying to talk to you.” She said, “I think I have asked enough questions, have a nice day.” She then escorted me to the door. She had me drive me all the way over here just to say this. She could have asked that over the phone for such a short conversation. Blue Mustang looked at me at our breakfast meeting and said, “She was testing you to determine if she was valuable enough for you to make the trip to see her. She wants make sure that you are real.” Three days later she would call me again.

She asked, “Can you come again? I have to ask a few more questions.” I replied, “I will be there to talk to you. I am heading that way now.” I was grateful that I was already coming to Denver for the women’s highway patrolman Bible study. I climbed into my pickup early and headed to her home. The heavy snow has started clearing up so I made good time. Ninja was waiting for me and she let me in the house. Ninja said, “You know when I was a little girl, I asked Jesus to come into my heart but since then I have done a lot of bad things. How can God really forgive me?”

I said, “Just confess it to Jesus Christ first. Just come out and speak it. God will then take a hold of it and you will be forgiven.” She replied, “I just don’t know if I’m ready. Have a good night.” She ended the conversation and escorted me out the door. She will call me again.

That next night, I was sound asleep. At 11:30 PM Ninja calls me again. She said, “Sonny, I want to meet with you now. I still have a lot of questions to ask you.” I said, “I live in Loveland and I’m not afraid to tell you where I live but it’s gonna take some time to get there. But I will be there.” She agreed to my terms. I put my work clothes on because I knew I probably will be going directly to work after our meeting. I slipped my hoody over my clothes so she would recognize me in the dark when walking to the door. She had the living room light was on when I arrived. I just tapped on the door because I did not want to wake the girls up with the door bell. She let me in and had coffee made for me. She got right to the point. She said, “Sonny, what would it take for me to totally surrender my heart to God.”

I said, “Open up your heart completely. Then you have to ask for the forgiveness of all your sins. Once that is done, just ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart and fill it with his presence. She said, “I am responsible for all these girls who are in this house with me.”

I then said, “Why don’t you give all these girls to God. He will take care of them for you. They all have been talking about wanting to go home.” She began thinking about why they came to Denver in the first place. She then said, “When we arrived in Denver, we were talking together about taking over the East side of Denver and now we’re all talking about going home.”

I answered, “Their hearts are already prepared to go home. They are just waiting on you. They respect you and are waiting for direction from you.” I looked her directly into her eyes and said, “Jesus Christ is my boss, my Savior and my King. He tells me what to do and when to do it. I just do it.” She replied, “Oh come on! That does not make sense.” She knew it was getting late for me and asked if I could come tomorrow after work to talk some more. I prayed for her again before I left. This time praying was different. She actually closed her eyes while I prayed for her. This is one thing that gang leaders never do is close their eyes while they are awake. They don’t trust anyone. She then escorted me to the door and said, “You have a blessed night. I will see you after work.” I went straight to work from her home. I got 1.5 hours of sleep that night but God refreshed me as I left Denver. I found out Ninjas real name is “Faith”.

After work, I went back to Faith’s home. As I entered the home, I noticed all kinds of bags packed up in their house. Faith said, “We are going to California. The highways are all open and we are going home.” The Holy Spirit has been working hard on all the girls hearts. They are ready. I said, “Those of you that want to accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, raise your hands.” All 30 girls, everyone that was left, raised their hands. One of the girls said, “Is it really that easy to accept Jesus Christ? It can’t be that easy! What do we have to do?” I explained to them what to do and they eagerly gave their hearts to Jesus Christ. As the Holy Spirit began to move. they started crying. They called their parents and told them what just happened. Some of the parents were wanting to fly out right away to pick them up before they changed their minds. They said, “No, the highways are clear, we’re driving home. We all have cars.” Then the parents asked, “Can Sonny pray for us?” I heard them over the speaker phone. I prayed with them. I then handed the conversation back to the girls as the parents began to cry. Their parents asked, “Who is this guy, Sonny?”

The girls told them all about me and how important they were to me to seek them out. They said, “We wanted to shoot him but he knew that we were hungry and wanted to feed us. He listened to his King. He is someone who really does care for us.” They continue talking more about me and their new adventure with Jesus Christ. They then said, “We are coming home! We want to serve God now. We are part of a new gang now. Jesus Christ is our leader” Their mom just kept saying, “I cannot believe you are coming home now. I thought we lost you forever.” Their daughters have been gone a long time and the excitement must be intense. I helped them all pack their bags into their cars as they all readied themselves for the long trip home. It will be anything but boring. When Jesus begins to run your life, the peace is hard to describe.

As they headed to their cars, they gave me a farewell hug. I had just bought a bunch of granola bars at Costco and two coolers of pop. God told me to let them take all of it on their journey. Those supplies were always for them. They just looked at me and said, “Sonny, you are too much.” Their parents wired money for gasoline and food on the way back. The girls said, “We wish all of us could have gotten to know you better.”

I said, “You have my ministry card. You can call me anytime.” One of the girls asked me to visit her if I ever came to California. She said, “I would love to introduce you to my parents.” I handed her one of my ministry cards with the ministry website address on the back. I said, “Anytime you want to see what the Holy Spirit is up to in my life, check out the website.” The rest of the girl started using their phones to take a picture of the web address for themselves.

The landlord came as the girls were getting ready to leave. He noticed that they left that house immaculate. The landlord looked at Faith and asked, “So does that mean you guys are not a gang anymore. You are going back to your families now. How did this happen so quickly?” Faith said, “This guy standing right here came and told us about Jesus Christ. Now we are born again Christians. Faith looked intently at the landlord and asked, “Is your name written in the Lambs Book of Life, Yes or No!” She is already starting to preach now to the landlord. He replied, “You know what. I am already Christian. I saw it as a ministry when you girls came here. I did not want to rent it to you because you are a gang. But God told me that he wanted to bless you with this home.” He then handed them an envelope that had $5000 dollars in it. He gave them everything they paid. He said, “Take this for your trip home.” The landlord then prayed over them also before everyone had a chance to leave. My King get the Glory and the Victory. I reaped the joy and reward of seeing these girls released from their bondage.

Valentines for Three Gangs

Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday this year. My KING wanted to give me enough time do something special for the girls on this special weekend. He said, “Sonny I have three gangs I want you to take homemade burritos for. It is Valentines weekend and you need to bring flowers to the girls of each gang.” When I had my Wednesday night bible study with the highway patrol women and I told them about what my King’s plans were. They said, “Sonny we will take care of the flowers for you.” I told them I needed 37 flowers to represent one flower per girl. They said, “Sonny, we will have them ready for you to pick up when you are ready to go witness to the gangs.”

The weekend is here and it is time to pick up both the homemade burritos and flowers. The flowers were roses of different colors. The women personalized each flower with a Bible verse. I put them in my pickup right away because it was cold out and I did not want them to freeze. I had already picked up the burritos and I was ready to go see the first gang. I knew the first two gangs but I never met the third gang. I have seen the third gang at a distance but witnessing to other gangs kept me from witnessing to them. Today, I will have the chance to change that but my King gave me the order to visit each gang.

The first gang had eleven girls in it. There were so many colors and I had no idea which assortment to create. I asked, “God, how do I know which color to take in.” God replied, “Do not worry about it Sonny. Just grab a random assortment.” I did what he told me. I serve a mighty God. Each girl will get the right flower with the right Bible verse that will change their lives. I got out of my pickup and randomly chose eleven flowers and a bag of burritos. As I walked up to the door, some of the men opened the door for me. They knew who I was and assumed I was bringing them breakfast but asked, “Sonny, what are those flowers for?” I said, “The roses are for the girls for Valentine’s Day.” I continue to walk inside their home and as I came in contact with the girls, I started handing out a rose to each one of them. They began crying as they accepted each rose. One of the girls said, “I don’t know how long it’s been since anyone has given me a flower. ” All the girls were crying as I handed out the last rose. They all came up and gave me a hug to show their appreciation for what I did. The leader came up to me and said, “Sonny that was a good idea.” I replied, “These girls are precious because God created them that way. They deserve to be loved in this way. God knows they love flowers.” The leader began to frown at me and sarcastically said, “Thanks a lot Sonny. ” The leader was embarrassed that he did not think highly enough of his girls to get flowers for them and left the room. He went to his bedroom and closed the door. I never saw him again while everybody was eating burritos. I prayed with them for the food and I prayed over them personally. As breakfast closed, it was time to go see the second gang.

The second gang had 14 girls in it. Again, I randomly grabbed 14 roses and another bag of burritos for the gang. This time the girls answered the door instead of the guys. They knew who I was and weren’t afraid to open the door. But when they did, they saw all the flowers that I had and they began to cry. They said, “Oh my gosh! Sonny you brought us flowers.” I said, “Happy Valentine’s Day.” They all proceeded to hug me then they said, “You brought us breakfast too.” I said, “Yes, I have homemade breakfast burritos.” As I entered the home the girls started gathering up jars so they could put their flowers in them. They decided to put their roses in one jar and place the display in the middle of the table where we ate. It did make a beautiful display. The leader asked, “Why did you bring flowers to the girls?” I said, “It is because they are precious. God loves them dearly and asked me to bring flowers to show his love for them.” The leader then responded, “That’s a good idea. I should have thought of that myself.” One of the girls then stepped up and said, “You don’t think like that. You would never bring us flowers. Don’t lie to Sonny you tell him the truth.” The leader hesitated a bit and said, “Well maybe not; but Sonny it was still a good idea.” They hug me and thank me again for the flowers. I prayed for the food and I prayed over them too but again I could not stay. I had to go and meet the third gang.

This is the largest of the three gangs. The first two gangs work with the third gang. They work the east side of Denver together. They warned them to stay away from me because all I do is talk about Jesus Christ but on a positive note, he does bring food from some guy named Blue Mustang. The home that this gang lives in is huge three story home. As I got out of my truck, they greeted me with pistols drawn. Their leader said, “What are you doing here with these flowers? Do you want those on your grave?” I said, “If you want to put them on my grave that would be cool. But right now the roses are for the girls.” The leader said, “You have a lot of flowers there.” I responded, “How many girls do you have?” The leader said, “There are 17.” I began handing them out and said, “The these are for the girls.” The girls began hugging me and thanking me as I handed them their personal rose. These girls did not put their roses on any table. Each one took their rose into their room. They then came out of their rooms and sat down with the men to eat. When they began eating, I began reading John 3:16 to them. I then explained to them what this verse meant. The gang then asked, “So Jesus Christ came here to this world for us, he died for us and he rose again.” I said, “He had to do that so that we could have salvation.” They sat there and began thinking more about what I said as they continued eating burritos. My King said, “Sonny, my Spirit is working on their hearts as they are eating. It is time to go back to speak with the first game again.”

I went back to the first home and they let me in. I looked at the girls then turned my head towards the guys. I said, “Who wants their names written in the Lamb’s Book of Life?” This question made the leader uncomfortable and said, “Sonny, I think we will have to think about that.” They began to shy away from me. But the girls were excited to come forward. A total of seven of them came forward wanting to give their hearts to Jesus Christ. They said, “Sonny, we want to our hearts to Jesus Christ. Also we all want to go home. I want to get out of this life.” I prayed for the girls as they gave their hearts to Jesus Christ. I left the hearts of the men into the hands of the Holy Spirit as he sent me back to the second gang.

When I arrived they also let me in. I asked them the same things I did with the first gang. The guys too were uncomfortable to make that decision today but some of the girls were ready to give their hearts to Jesus Christ now. Again, I prayed for the girls as they gave their hearts to Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit let me know it was time to leave for the third gang. He has everything the way he wants it here.

Before I went to the third gang, my King asked me to get some more tacos to bring with what burritos I had left for them. I was not sure how they would react to me when I arrived. The Holy Spirit must have done some major heart softening because they were nice to me. As I spoke, their hearts were even open to my Kings message. But the guys too were not ready today to make the change either. But the girls were ready to commit their hearts today. More girls wanted to give their life to Jesus Christ there too.

There was a total of 17 girls that gave their life to Jesus Christ on that Saturday before Valentine’s Day. It was about 3 p.m. when I finished witnessing to all three gangs. Even though all the girls did not give their hearts today to Jesus Christ, they saw what happened with the girls who did. The Holy Spirit has not given up on the rest of them. He will use what happened today to change their hearts also. My King has other things for me to do with these gangs tomorrow.

On Sunday after meeting with the homeless from a previous story, I begin taking some of the girls home in my pickup. At on time I had a total of eight girls squeezed into my pickup. We looked like a bunch of sardines in there but I didn’t care. They were just giggling and laughing at their new freedom in Jesus Christ. I took them all to one of the parks on the east side of Denver were their families met to pick them up. All the families began crying when they realized that they got their daughters back. Our King does not give up anybody. It is his desire for us to enter his Kingdom. He was happy to see what happened here today.

Later on Sunday, I received a call from the first leader. He wanted to talk to me more about this Jesus Christ that I have been speaking about. The other two leaders want to meet with you also. He began to share, “All of our girls have left to go to their homes. We even had parents stopping by the house to pick up their daughters. We just want to know what’s happening to our lives with all that is going on.” I begin praying for him right over the phone. He then said, “When we met you while holding pistols on you, all you would do is talk about Jesus Christ. Our pistols did not even bother you. And because of this I want to know more about this Jesus Christ. I want to know how a man could talk about Jesus Christ when there are people around him who want to kill him. I just do not understand. I just want to know more.” He then said, “When you brought flowers to my girls, I was so embarrassed at what I did to them that I had to go to my room. You made me think about what I had.” I have set up a meeting to meet him and the other leaders this weekend.

It is now next week and I am going to meet with the leaders. The meeting was to be held at the third leaders home. The leader’s name is Marty. When I arrived, there were cars all over the place. I silently said, “Wait a minute, I thought I was just going to meet only the leaders not the entire gangs. I walked up to Marty’s home and rang the doorbell. They opened the door and had me come in. I asked, “Do you guys want to go take a drive?”

They said, “No man, we want you to stay here. Let us go to my garage where we have more space. As I entered his garage, I noticed the lazy boys positioned all around the outside of the walls for everyone to sit down. I walked with the leaders into the middle of the garage while everyone else that down around us. Leader two looked at me and said, “You know we all lost a lot of our girls. They have already gone back to their families. You said that Jesus is coming back soon. I was talking with the other leaders and I said that I want to be ready when Jesus does come back. We are tired of this life but can God really forgive us? We have really done a lot of bad things to our girls. We have already asked for forgiveness for our behavior. None of us have touched the girls since you came to see us last week. How do you accept Jesus Christ?”

I said, “You just need to ask Jesus Christ yourself for forgiveness of your sins. Then you just ask Jesus to come into your heart. For those of you who wants your names written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, today is the day of salvation because tomorrow is never promised for any of us. Not even for me.” Then all the sudden they got off track and they asked me questions about the story of Moses. All three gangs had sat down together to watch “The Ten Commandments” on Netflix. They said, “It is crazy how Moses, just a single man, could get all those people out of Egypt?”

I responded, “How many people do you see around me? I bring God’s Kingdom just as Moses did.” Then Marty asked, “Can you tell us how you have that much faith?” Before I could answer Marty continued, “I told my second-in-command, Charlie, to waste you but he wouldn’t do it. He told me he couldn’t do it. It would not be right to hurt someone that brings tacos and burritos to eat. I’m not going to shoot that guy no way.” Marty then said, “Does that mean if you accept Jesus Christ that you are forgiven.”

I said, “No, you must ask Jesus Christ to forgive you first.” Marty then said, “I think we are all ready to do that now. We all, including are entire gangs, are ready to give our lives to Jesus Christ. I don’t want to be in gang anymore. We all want to go home. We want to have our own families. We are going to get our GED online. I want to make sure I am right with God. I am tired of this life.” Marty wanted to make everything right with God but one thing was bothering him. He then said, “I am wondering if I should talk with his parents? I really feel uneasy about doing that.” Before I could respond, he began telling me why. He continued, “I ran away when I was 14 years old because my mom and dad were drug addicts. I also took my younger brother with me to my uncle. My uncle did take the younger brother but he wanted nothing to do with me. Because he thought I was a troublemaker. I became a gang leader when I was 15. I started a gang just so I could take care of myself. And I also took care of anybody who stayed with me. I have been in this life four years. ”

I answered, “Why don’t you get their phone number from your uncle and give them a call.” Marty then said, “Sonny, I am really nervous about doing that.”

I then asked, “Do they live in the same house you ran away from? Marty said, “Yes they do.” I said, “I will go with you and I will pray together with you and your parents.” Marty asked, “You will do that for me.” I said, “Yeah man, I’ll be glad to do that for you.” All the gang members were excited about going home. Like Marty, their biggest concern about going home was if their parents would take them back. I thought to myself, “That is the saddest thing that how they could even think that.” I then said, “Your moms will want you back. At one time she cared for you in her womb. She will remember that. She will take you back.” This comforted them and as they gradually began giving their hearts to Jesus Christ. The all began to cry as they began to feel that peace that only Jesus can give. I convinced them all to start calling home to make arrangements to meet their parents. They began doing that. They immediately told them that they have gave their hearts to Jesus Christ. I could hear them crying over the phone as they gave the message to their parents. The parents all said that they were going to come and get them now.

70% of the parents that came were Christians. I prayed for all of them who were not. Those parents soon gave their lives to Jesus Christ also after seeing what happened to their children. My King gets the Glory and the Victory. I just get to see it. I heard many of the parents of the other gangs leaders say, “We just can’t believe that you’re going to be giving this all up and for us and come home.”

When Marty call his parents. His dad answered the phone. I could tell he was skeptical because he said, “When you come home, we can talk about it.” When everyone left Marty’s home, I followed Marty to his parents home. When his dad saw that Marty actually showed up, he came out running. He started crying as he hugged his son. Soon Marty’s mom followed. She came out crying along with his brother and two sisters who also began crying. I looked at Marty’s dad and told him that Marty was concerned that with your alcohol and drug addictions that you would not accept him. Marty’s dad then shared with me that we got help from our drug addictions after Marty left. Shortly we gave our hearts to Jesus Christ. Marty’s brother stayed with the uncle for one year but came home after we got our lives in order. It was awesome that as soon as we accepted Jesus Christ, our addictions to drugs immediately stopped. We then tried to reach Marty but every time we called, he would hang up on us. Marty said, ”That was true. I always thought that they were wanting me to give them money so they could buy more drugs. So I would never answer the phone when I saw their number.” Mom stepped in and asked, “Marty, do you take drugs.” Marty said, “No Mom. I don’t even drink alcohol. I cannot be drunk and be a leader. You need to stay sober and alert or you could get shot.” Marty then looked at me and said, “Sonny kept coming back and would never give up on us. I kept telling my boys to shoot him but they would not do it. They would always tell me how can we shoot somebody who brings us food. There’s even a guy named blue Mustang whoever that is that make sure that Sonny can do that for us.” His mom blurted in and said, “He must be like Robin Hood.” She just laughed at her answer but said to me, “Thanks for not giving up on my son. Thanks also for not giving up on the boys and the girls in these gangs.”

I said, “I know how it feels to be abandoned and broken. These boys and girls are broken. I brought God’s kingdom here to this home. You need healing in this house. There still is a little tightness in this environment. We need to get rid of it.” The mom asked, “Can you anoint our home with oil?”

I said, “Yes we can. I will get my oil bottle.” We began anointing the whole house. The last room to do was Marty’s. The parents said, “Marty, let’s go to your room. Sonny, we want you to see it also.” I followed them into his room. As we entered his bedroom, Marty said, “Nothing has changed. It is exactly as I left it when I was 14 years old.” I observed that the north wall has his Hot Wheels collection on it. He loved baseball and the Yankees. He had posters of all the baseball greats posted on the walls. On the East wall, he had an airplane collection. He always wanted to be a pilot. I watched as Marty open the second drawer of his dresser. Laying on his clothes was his journal. His mom replied, “Marty, I have not touched anything. It it is exactly as you left it. I only dust things from time to time.” Marty then said, “Mom read this journal. It will tell you exactly how I felt when I left.” His mom started crying as she silently read what he wrote in that journal. Marty looked over at me and said, “Sonny this is my first miracle.” This family is now becoming healed. I checked on the second gang leader next.

I heard second leader say, “We are going to get our GEDs and we are going to live for Jesus Christ. Sonny said he would give us discipleship. He is not going to let us fall.” His men left all of their pistols with him. His mom asked, “What are you going to do with those guns?” He said, “I am going to get a safe and put them in there. They’re too valuable to throw away. They are all 9 mm Berettas.” The gang leader showed me one of the guns that he had. He pointed to the place where a stray bullet hit the gun in a shoot out. He said, “I don’t have the courage to shoot it but it is interesting to see how close the bullet was to hitting me.”

I was curious why he decided to finally accept Jesus Christ. So I asked, “What finally made you give your heart to Jesus Christ?” He replied, “When you said that Jesus Christ is coming for us, and some of us will be left behind. I decided I did not want to be left behind. I do not want to be thrown into the lake of a fire for eternity. I discussed this with the other gang leaders and they also thought it was a good idea not to go there. No, I want to walk with Jesus in heaven. He has a mansion ready for us in his kingdom. Why would I want to give that up I want to see him and what he has for me.” That satisfied me as I continued to check on other gang members.

There were a couple of dads that weren’t very nice to there children when they came to take them home. I took them on a drive and I confronted them and prayed over their stubbornness. The Holy Spirit convicted their hearts and they decided that they needed Jesus Christ also. I prayed over them again as they accepted Jesus into their hearts. Our King gets the Glory and the Victory. No one else could do what he did. I will be being seeing many more gangs. As Jesus would do, let us get as many as we can into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Cold Night with the Homeless

After I witnessed to the gangs on this extremely cold Saturday, I headed home to warm up and go to bed. It was 9 pm and I was ready to crash for the night. My King said, “Sonny, I need for you to go back to Denver. My homeless people are cold and hungry and I want you to tell them about me. I want you to take pizza, hot cider and hot chocolate to them.” I have learned that when my KING says go, I go even if it takes me into the cold. I usually get my food in Loveland Colorado but I would have to backtrack. I decided to pick everything up in Denver. When I was about half way there, I received a phone call from the head woman of the undercover police. She said, “Where are you at?”

I replied, “I am here in Denver. My KING wants me to take care of the homeless on this frigid night.”

She then said, “The Holy Spirit had several undercover families make a bunch of food. One family purchased a bunch of pizzas. Another family made hot cider and hot chocolate. Another family was lead to make cookies. We were thinking that it might be for you.”

I said, “Our KING requested that list of those items that the families made.”

She then replied, “Tell Blue Mustang that he can take the night off because we will continue to make whatever you need. By the way, I have dispensing containers that you can use to keep the drinks hot. I just need them back in the morning.” When I arrived at her home she had everything my KING requested there. They gave me other items that the homeless would need. I had grabbed the extra blankets, gloves and sleeping bags at my apartment that I don’t use anymore to give with their things. I then headed to the park where they were camping out. I parked next to a dark tunnel bridge where they were huddled trying to keep warm. My pickup said it was seven below zero outside. When it is this cold, the homeless have to keep moving or they might freeze to death. They came out to see what was going on. I said, “My KING told me to come and bring food and hot drinks to warm you up. He wants me to tell you how much he loves you. That is why I am here.” I began playing worship music as I set out the pizza and drinks on my tailgate. I then prayed over the food so they could began eating. They were all very hungry because of all the energy they have used to try and stay warm. I pulled my Bible and a pillow out of my pickup. I began reading John 3:16 to them. As the first words came out of my mouth, the light under the tunnel came on. The lights brightness made it like daytime. Even heat was radiating from the light. One of the homeless ladies said, “I have been here over a year and that light has never come on.” She repeated saying that several times as the night continued because I feel she knew that our KING turned that light on. I continued reading scripture as they ate. Because of the cold, homeless people from all over came when that light came on. They too were hungry and asked to join in. Others in the group left to get their buddies so they would not miss the blessing. There was a lot of food but I feel that people drank and ate more food and drink than what I brought. My KING made sure everyone had enough to eat and drink. The most requested song they wanted to hear was “Amazing Grace.” I played that song many times.  They continued to listen to the music playing and the KING’s message I shared with. Some of the homeless grabbed something to eat but left right away.

The Holy Spirit said it is now time for them give their hearts to Jesus. I read Matthew 6:33 to them and said, “This life you are living here is all temporary. We are never promised tomorrow. We all need to decide where we are going to spend eternity. Now is the time to give your heart to Jesus Christ so we can be with him.” As I gave the alter call, 24 of the homeless wanted to give their hearts to Jesus Christ. I prayed for them as they began turning their lives one by one over to Jesus Christ. A peace fell over them from the power of the Holy Spirit and some started going to sleep. I brought my pillow and sat down on the cold ground with them. I layed some of the blankets I had on the ground by me. Some of the women took advantage of the blankets and even rested their heads on my lap and feet. The cold got to my speakers in the back of my pickup and the music stopped playing. I continued talking with them about their new lives in Jesus. One person turned to me and said, “We have received food and goods from other people which we are grateful but it was like feeding an animal in a zoo. They drop the package off and leave the scene quickly. You are different. No one would ever come this late at night and in this cold to love and share with us. You are not in any hurry to leave because you want to bless others that keep coming by. The light even obeys you. Who are you?”

I said, “I am Sonny, I am just doing what my KING asked me to do. He gets the Glory and the Victory.” All of them began to fall asleep. I placed blankets over the ladies who fell asleep next to me. My KING had me stay and continue to read my Bible and pray over everyone as they slept. As I was praying, I was interrupted someone walking by. He was surprised to see me awake by myself and that my pickup had not been harmed in this dangerous neighborhood. He said, “You have a nice pickup. It is going to get trashed in this neighborhood. ”

I said, “This is not my pickup.” He said, “Whose pickup is it?”

I replied, “My KINGs.” He said, “What do mean by your KING?”

I replied, “Jesus Christ is my KING.” When I mentioned the name of Jesus, he took off running. Eventually he came back. He began to realize there was food here and a place to get warm. He came back and apologized for his behavior. I offered him pizza and hot drink. I told him what I told the other homeless and he too gave his heart to Jesus Christ and fell asleep with the others. I asked God what I should read as the night continued. He said, “Sonny, start reading Psalms 1 and keep reading.” It was approaching 2 am and God said, “You can stop reading. It is now time to go home and get some sleep.” The Holy Spirit had everyone fast asleep. I started wiggled my way from the women laying on me. Even though I was trying to be careful, it looked like I was banging them around. Everyone was still fast asleep as worked my way entirely out. I started my pickup and turned my lights on. Still there was no one stirring. I continued watching as I put my pickup in reverse and backed away.  I started driving forward and left the park as everyone remained fast asleep. It was 3 am when I arrived at my warm apartment and went to bed.

Sunday morning my KING had me check on their progress. I went back where I left them. A white van from one of the shelters was there feeding them breakfast. They came to pick them up to take them to a shelter. They all picked up the things I brought them and climbed into the van with them. They are going someplace warm. The reason my KING had me come back was for me to watch what was going on. The homeless women were praying and witnessing to the shelter people after only knowing Jesus for a short time. They were listening to exactly every word I said last night because they quoted to the staff word for word what I said to them. Soon the shelter staff began giving their hearts to Jesus Christ. Some of the homeless saw me watching and shouted, “Sonny! There is the man who cared for us and brought us to Jesus Christ.” The staff came over and talked to me. They were amazed how I stayed with the homeless most of the night and how these homeless people brought Jesus into their lives. Like the homeless they asked, “Who are you?” And like I said to the homeless, “I am just Sonny. I only did what my KING asked me to do.” It was very interesting that when they were ready to load the last of their possessions into the vans, they began grabbing the food that was left. The staff said, “You can throw that food away. We have plenty at the shelter.” The homeless replied, “No way! We do not waste food. We have experienced hunger and all food is precious to us.” They continued to pick up all the food. As I watched the vans go, I thought to myself how our KING used me to reach them for the Kingdom and keep them alive until they could be picked up by someone. My heart has a spot for the homeless and I want to thank our KING for allowing me to serve them.

It was still cold outside and it became very quiet after the vans disappeared. So I left the park to talked to some more gangs at their homes. After sharing with them, I went home to warm up and eat a snack.
