02/28/2026 For those who love to take this verse wrong to get away from standing up against evil:

Matthew 7:1-2 NLT
Do Not Judge Others
7 “Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. 2 For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged.

Paul commands us to judge:

1 Corinthians 5:12-13 NLT
12 It isn’t my responsibility to judge outsiders, but it certainly is your responsibility to judge those inside the church who are sinning. 13 God will judge those on the outside; but as the Scriptures say, “You must remove the evil person from among you.”

Even though we may not challenge the outsiders vocally, we need to continue to judge outsiders to determine if it is right to do what they do. If it is evil, we need to run from it. Lets stay pure as much as we can. If we are truly children of Jesus we need to do this just like Paul instructed Timothy:

1 Timothy 6:11 NLT
Paul’s Final Instructions
But you, Timothy, are a man of God; so run from all these evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.
11/01/2025 For those who think God does not have a sense of humor, this one proves he does:

1 Samuel 5:1-4 NLT
The Ark in Philistia
5 After the Philistines captured the Ark of God, they took it from the battleground at Ebenezer to the town of Ashdod. 2 They carried the Ark of God into the temple of Dagon and placed it beside an idol of Dagon. 3 But when the citizens of Ashdod went to see it the next morning, Dagon had fallen with his face to the ground in front of the Ark of the Lord! So they took Dagon and put him in his place again. {This defines man's sense of stupidity trusting in a god who cannot get off the ground or defend itself. } 4 But the next morning the same thing happened—Dagon had fallen face down before the Ark of the Lord again. This time his head and hands had broken off and were lying in the doorway. Only the trunk of his body was left intact.

I now know where the phrase "passing the buck" comes from:

1 Samuel 5:6-12 NLT
6 Then the Lord’s heavy hand struck the people of Ashdod and the nearby villages with a plague of tumors. 7 When the people realized what was happening, they cried out, “We can’t keep the Ark of the God of Israel here any longer! He is against us! We will all be destroyed along with Dagon, our {fake} god.” 8 So they called together the rulers of the Philistine towns and asked, “What should we do with the Ark of the God of Israel?”

The rulers discussed it and replied, “Move it to the town of Gath.” So they moved the Ark of the God of Israel to Gath. 9 But when the Ark arrived at Gath, the Lord’s heavy hand fell on its men, young and old; he struck them with a plague of tumors, and there was a great panic.

10 So they sent the Ark of God to the town of Ekron, but when the people of Ekron saw it coming they cried out, “They are bringing the Ark of the God of Israel here to kill us, too!” 11 The people summoned the Philistine rulers again and begged them, “Please send the Ark of the God of Israel back to its own country, or it will kill us all.” For the deadly plague from God had already begun, and great fear was sweeping across the town. 12 Those who didn’t die were afflicted with tumors; and the cry from the town rose to heaven.

They passed the ark from city to city and no one wanted it because of the God it represented. Why do we let our hearts get so hard to keep us going to our foolish gods when we know the real God? Why didn't they dump Dagon and try to accept the God of Israel? The Philistines knew the power of Yahweh.

1 Samuel 6:2 NLT
2 Then the Philistines called in their priests and diviners and asked them, “What should we do about the Ark of the Lord? Tell us how to return it to its own country.”

4 “What sort of guilt offering should we send?” they asked.

And they were told, “Since the plague has struck both you and your five rulers, make five gold tumors and five gold rats, just like those that have ravaged your land. 5 Make these things to show honor to the God of Israel. Perhaps then he will stop afflicting you, your gods, and your land. 6 Don’t be stubborn and rebellious as Pharaoh and the Egyptians were. By the time God was finished with them, they were eager to let Israel go.

Only man can know who the real God is and his mighty power. In his foolishness he continues serving worldly possessions and idols over Yahweh. Only when we turn to Jesus Christ and put him on the throne of our life will we experience salvation. Jesus paid a dear price for us to be able to enter the Kingdom of God. Worship him and Yahweh only and stay away from all the fake gods out there.
07/28/2025 For everyone who loves the Lord and if Paul was alive today, I could see him doing this for us:

Philippians 1:3-6 NLT
Paul’s Thanksgiving and Prayer
3 Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. 4 Whenever I pray, I make my requests for all of you with joy, 5 for you have been my partners in spreading the Good News about Christ from the time you first heard it until now. 6 And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.

Each one of could apply this verse to those around us who are serving God. I know the day-to-day things can be a real headache and we may not want to do this. Paul wrote this verse in Romans:

Romans 8:18 NLT
The Future Glory
18 Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.

Jesus will never abandon us. In John, Jesus explains that we will soon understand what happens in our life:

John 13:7 NLT
7 Jesus replied, “You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.”

Until that day happens Peter has some advice:

1 Peter 5:7 NLT
7 Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

Worrying can play with your mind allowing the enemy to make you feel like an outsider, but Paul wrote this:

Ephesians 2:19-20 NLT
A Temple for the Lord
19 So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family. 20 Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself.

Even with this promise we can still mess up, just ask for forgiveness. We always should continue to model our lives for Jesus after he forgives us. This is what David said about the God we serve:

Psalm 30:5 NLT
5 For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor lasts a lifetime!
Weeping may last through the night,
but joy comes with the morning.

In order to model our lives after Jesus we have to understand the love He demonstrates for us. He requires that we do the same for others. Paul talked about this to:

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 NLT
4 Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. 6 It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

8 Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever!

Even though he commands us to love one another, he promised good things for us that will glorify his name:

Jeremiah 29:11-12 NLT
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 In those days when you pray, I will listen.

Pay close attention to verse 12. Do not ruin God's plan for you because of an evil heart. Solomon knew what would happen:

Proverbs 4:23 NLT
23 Guard your heart above all else,
for it determines the course of your life.

You heart does control your life and is used by God to reflect who we are. I am no bragger myself in having that amazing heart. God will be the first one to tell you this. But I am not going to quit trying either. "Jesus is Lord" and he "loves me and you" and is "patiently" waiting for me to get it right.
06/17/2022 For those who live near Denver Colorado you were greeted with a night light show that only God could put on. I heard that it was so bright that you needed some form of sunglasses to drive safely on the interstate. Our God loves the light and David said it perfect about our God:

Psalm 68:4-5 (New Living Translation)
Sing praises to God and to his name! Sing loud praises to him who rides the clouds. His name is the Lord— rejoice in his presence! Father to the fatherless, defender of widows— this is God, whose dwelling is holy.

David was born before Jesus Christ came. That disadvantage did not stop him from getting closer to God. He did get close enough to feel his presence. He was so excited about that he created music and words to exalt God. Why is it we have Jesus Christ that we are not even closer to God? Jesus has given us a in with God by what he did on the cross and the Holy Spirit that is now available to all of us.

The world around us can quench our praises to him. This verse explains why:

Matthew 6:24
God and Possessions
“You cannot be a slave of two masters; you will hate one and love the other; you will be loyal to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

Even though money is a great thing to have it can be a distraction on our understanding of God. The more irons we have in the fire the less time we have for God and his people. Do you want to know a secret? This is good thing to remember.

Mathew 6:31-34
31 “So do not start worrying: ‘Where will my food come from? or my drink? or my clothes?’ 32 (These are the things the pagans are always concerned about.) Your Father in heaven knows that you need all these things. 33 Instead, be concerned above everything else with the Kingdom of God and with what he requires of you, and he will provide you with all these other things. 34 So do not worry about tomorrow; it will have enough worries of its own. There is no need to add to the troubles each day brings.

So you want money; seek his Kingdom first. After seeking his Kingdom you will be moved to sing praises to his awesome name. Next you will began to realize he is on your side. With fathers day around the corner, let this sink in:

Father to the fatherless, defender of widows— this is God, whose dwelling is holy.

Because of Jesus Christ we are righteous and can come unto him anytime.
04/07/2022 Faith doesn't always take you out of the problem, Faith takes you through the problem. Faith doesn't always take away the pain, Faith gives you the ability to handle the pain. Faith doesn't always take you out of the storm, Faith calms you in the midst of the storm. Jesus Christ was the master of faith.

Hebrews 12:2 (New Living Translation)
We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.

We have Jesus but he had to keep his eyes on the Father and had the faith that what he was going to do was going to dramatically change the world and the joy of returning to the Father and a job well done. We have the same joy of being with the Father but not in his place of honor. We need to live like Christ and imitate him. That includes our views on people. We should be Kingdom based on how we live.

Mathew 6:20 Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. 21 Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.

Even so we are to be Kingdom-based our God still made a promise in Malachi 3:10. You cannot outgive God. If your heart is right he will bless you greatly here on earth also

Malachi 3:10
New Living Translation

10 Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!
