06/02/2024 Sometimes life is too busy and can even be stressful. We need to be like David who also had more danger on his plate then most of us will ever experience. He wrote this down just to remind himself who his God is:

Psalm 56:4 (New Living Translation)
I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do.

We even have more promises available to us from our King then David even had. Jesus Christ promises freedom.

Galatians 3:22
But the Scriptures declare that we are all prisoners of sin, so we receive God’s promise of freedom only by believing in Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ provides righteousness:

Galatians 5:5
But we who live by the Spirit eagerly wait to receive by faith the righteousness God has promised to us.

His children benefit from an amazing inheritance:

Ephesians 1:14
The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.

His children have eternal life with the King. Actually, we all have eternal life but as Jesus said many will choose the Lake of Fire apart from God:

Titus 1:2
This truth gives them confidence that they have eternal life, which God—who does not lie—promised them before the world began.

If we are willing to give ourselves to him there is rest:

Hebrews 4:1
Promised Rest for God’s People
God’s promise of entering his rest still stands, so we ought to tremble with fear that some of you might fail to experience it.

His children will receive the crown of life:

James 1:12
God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.

Just think about heaven what that must be like. It will be better than you can imagine.

James 2:5
Listen to me, dear brothers and sisters. Hasn’t God chosen the poor in this world to be rich in faith? Aren’t they the ones who will inherit the Kingdom he promised to those who love him?

He gives the boldness to set ourselves apart from the world:

2 Peter 1:4
And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.

He is wants us in his Kingdom and he is tirelessly trying to convince us to come to him:

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.

He definitely wants our fellowship:

1 John 2:24-25
24 So you must remain faithful to what you have been taught from the beginning. If you do, you will remain in fellowship with the Son and with the Father. 25 And in this fellowship we enjoy the eternal life he promised us.

Let's honor these promises by living for our King:

Acts 20:24 NLT
But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.

Romans 12 NLT
A Living Sacrifice to God
12 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. 2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
08/19/2022 Several year ago I began to help my buddy with God's gang ministry that God gave him on a challenge. God prepared me for this in high school by having me read the "Cross and the Switch Blade". I could not wait to see the movie. It was decades later that I put that interest to work. This is when I began to see what living really was about. Just hearing about the gangs we personally feed while my buddy brings the word to them is exciting. They are getting saved and this is all part of the great commission. This is why Paul wrote:

Philippians 1:21 (New Living Translation)
For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better.

God just did not stop here. We have been called to bless his children in poor sections in Denver with money for food. God is so cool. He brings two families that the spouses are usually sisters. There have also been brother and sister and occasionally there are two brothers. All the families love the Lord and even their children can out pray most adults. Nothing can beat changing someones life in Christ and increasing their faith. These people are so cool. The blessed families come to other families and pray with them for their chance to receive God's blessing. All these families know what it is like to live for Christ. They are an example to all of us. My buddy and I live what Paul talked about in this verse.

Once you have that personal relationship with Jesus Christ and understand God's Kingdom you want to go there. I doubt God is going to come and pick me up like Elijah:

2 Kings 2:11
As they were walking along and talking, suddenly a chariot of fire appeared, drawn by horses of fire. It drove between the two men, separating them, and Elijah was carried by a whirlwind into heaven.

This means that I will have to wait until I expire to see our King. I have been told that if we really love people that we will want to take as many people with us as we can as the Holy Spirit prepares their hearts. He just needs us to deliver the message. As you read this Paul confirms this:

Philippians 1:22-26
22 But if I live, I can do more fruitful work for Christ. So I really don’t know which is better. 23 I’m torn between two desires: I long to go and be with Christ, which would be far better for me. 24 But for your sakes, it is better that I continue to live.

25 Knowing this, I am convinced that I will remain alive so I can continue to help all of you grow and experience the joy of your faith. 26 And when I come to you again, you will have even more reason to take pride in Christ Jesus because of what he is doing through me.

My buddy and I have both decided to continue to do the will of God as long as he wants to use us. We are going to use this opportunity to store up more treasure in God's Kindom. Our King said that it is Ok to do that. When you live for Christ you get to see some awesome miracles. My buddy would always get thrown on the ground or become a basketball as he was thrown in the back of his truck. Many times he would deliver the message with a pistol on the back of his head. As we continued living for Christ we came together with a specific prayer to prevent harm to his body. This prayer was immediately answered. He still had to face the pistols though. We came together and prayed that when my buddy showed to the gangs the Word of God that they would put their pistols away. To this day the leader signals to his men to put their pistols away when he holds the Bible.

There is a lot more here then the power of prayer. When you live for Christ you begin to pray differently. You become more Kingdom focused. O yes those prayer are still powerful. When my buddy went to Chicago to witness to the Street 18 gang, God had him place his Bible on the windshield of the car. When the leader saw the Bible, he had his men put their pistols away. This is the only vehicle that never saw a bullet hole. Every other car that passed by these guys was shot to pieces.

You see living for Christ also brings power into your life and has an impact on other peoples lives. 42 men gave their hearts to Jesus Christ in Chicago. This is physically impossible for something like this unless you live your life for Jesus Christ.
08/06/2022 Since president Trump took office in 2016 he has been working fervently trying to get rid of all the sex trafficking that's going on in the world. I have always asked myself, "What is the fascination with molesting young children?" This verse sums it all up:

Matthew 19:14 (New Living Translation)
But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”

Jesus will stop whatever he is doing to spend time with our children. This verse proves that:

Mark 10:13-16
13 One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could touch and bless them. But the disciples scolded the parents for bothering him.

14 When Jesus saw what was happening, he was angry with his disciples. He said to them, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. 15 I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.” 16 Then he took the children in his arms and placed his hands on their heads and blessed them.

Children represent the Kingdom of God. The enemy does not like anything that reminds him of the goodness of God, so he is perfectly willing to go out to attack our children. He is vicious towards our children whenever he attacks. These verses also tell how valuable our children are to our God:

Matthew 18:1-4
About that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?”

2 Jesus called a little child to him and put the child among them. 3 Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. 4 So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.

So you see our children are precious to God. It is easy to see why child pedophilia is an industry that is larger than big oil and big pharma combined. A child can fetch up to $240,000 on the black market. Because of the money that can be made, the problem is rampant world wide. A lot of it goes on underground where the public can't see it. President Trump is still blowing up these tunnels today to eradicate this evil. Jesus also had something to say about those attacking his children:

Matthew 18:5-6
5 “And anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf is welcoming me. 6 But if you cause one of these little ones who trusts in me to fall into sin, it would be better for you to have a large millstone tied around your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea.

This is a curse. It is time to look at our children as a gift God that are more valuable than gold. When we instruct them how to serve our King, the gift becomes more exciting. Just remember that our kids are next in line to run our government. Lets encourage them to go in the way of serving God. Could you imagine a nation run by our grown up children who serve our King.

I have to admit my generation is running our government today and it is a mess because we are leaving God out of the equation. We have lost our fear of God and have turned our backs on how to properly serve our King. It is assumed that it more fun to spend time seeking pleaure and money then serving God and bringing our children up to serve him. But what does God say about this assumption:

Matthew 6:33
33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

This verse shows the secret to success. But remember to pray over your kids as often you can. The enemy wants them bad. Jesus Christ wants them even more. The spiritual battle for our children rages on but prayer and binding the enemy in the name of Jesus Christ is the best way to win with our children. Our God always wins after the battle is done.
05/15/2022 Sometimes only God knows how things work. He knows how everything works because he engineered it. Tornado chasers have a difficult time predicting the time a tornado will exactly occur. It is even more difficult to predict its path once it is on the ground. Even the feat of birth is above our pay grade This verse defines our God very well:

Ecclesiastes 11:5 (New Living Translation)
Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things.

What God is doing today in America, no man understands what he is up to. He has been cleaning up child trafficking, abortion, election fraud and is going after government corruption. What is cool is the fact is he is doing it while my generation is alive to see it. Trust me God is doing things behind the scenes that will require a better word then amazing. One thing I will always understand about God is that he always wins.
05/05/2022 Since 2019 a lot of things have happened that are greatly affecting everyone in a mostly negative way. Do you find yourself getting worried. Just thinking about gas prices, the border, election fraud and child trafficking can drive you nuts. This is what Jesus has to say about it:

Matthew 6:25-34
“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?

This is what Paul has to say about it.

Philippians 4:6-7 (New Living Translation)
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

The key words here are praying and thanksgiving. The two things God enjoys us doing. This results in peace. The one thing neither one mentioned is that worry can translate into fear which is from the enemy vs God's method peace
02/19/2022 Sonny's motto on the streets. This Verse also makes one feel ashamed if he holds a grudge against someone.

13 Make allowance for each other's faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
Colossians 3:16
