07/08/2025 I hear so much crap about the nation who lived in the land first and that land should be given back to the nation that was chased off. God tells us why this happens to nations:

Deuteronomy 4:37-40 NLT
37 Because he loved your ancestors, he chose to bless their descendants, and he personally brought you out of Egypt with a great display of power. 38 He drove out nations far greater than you, so he could bring you in and give you their land as your special possession, as it is today.

39 “So remember this and keep it firmly in mind: The Lord is God both in heaven and on earth, and there is no other. 40 If you obey all the decrees and commands I am giving you today, all will be well with you and your children. I am giving you these instructions so you will enjoy a long life in the land the Lord your God is giving you for all time.”

If God promises you something or you have a heart for him he will give you refuge. Those nations whose land was taken were NOT serving God. They lost their land to Israel. It never will be their land again. A nation who serves God will never lose its land to anyone because God will protect it. When a nation's heart becomes hard towards God, this nation will give up it land to someone else. Remember this thought USA. If our nation turns its back on God we will lose our right to live here. Daniel never turned his back on God but was still exiled to Babylon. His walk with the Lord did not prevent this. This is why it is important to have leaders who make an effort to love the Lord. None of them will ever be perfect. When you vote for the party who hates God, its leaders despise who God is and sets up a dangerous situation.

I firmly believe to only two reasons why we still live in this great country today is the amazing prayer warriors and that Jesus Christ still needs the resources of this nation to reach to world before he returns. Lets fight to get people who love our King to preserve this great nation.

God will always take the land from the ungodly and give it to those who love him. It is in reverse if you despise the King. Read the Old testament and see how many times Israel faced this ordeal. They lived it and it is an object lesson for the rest of us. It seems like God many times will use another ungodly nation to teach us a lesson. They will not be able to keep it long either because he wants the land to belong to people who love him. Another cool thing God does is bless the land when we serve him. The ungodly see the results of this and want what you have. They have incentive to take it from us. Do not let hard hearts give them the opportunity to take our great country.

Thank you Jesus that our nation still has something to offer that can glorify your name!
07/06/2025 Matthew 24:35 NLT
Heaven and earth will disappear, but my words will never disappear.

The focus of this verse is on the solid foundation of God's word. But pay close attention to "Heaven and earth will disappear". This tells me both earth and heaven are going under serious design changes. Revelations talks more about this.

Revelation 21:1-2 NLT
The New Jerusalem

21 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone. 2 And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband.

I heard the old heaven is awesome but what is the new Heaven going to be like. It looks like our King's Kingdom is going to be our new neighbor. Only God knows what this new Heaven is going to look like because no one else has been their. JESUS will be Lord there also.
07/02/2025 This is one of those verses that can only humble you if you truly love the Lord:

Jeremiah 17:9-10 NLT
“The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is? But I, the Lord, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve.”

We cannot hide anything from our King. We will be judged by the standards our hearts dictate. We all have heart issues that cause us to sin. The more we live for Jesus the cleaner our hearts will become. Keeping our thoughts pure from worldly things is a big help. Luckily for us Jesus knew we could never do it all on our own and came to fill that void in our hearts for us that only he could take care of.

Jesus "King of kings!"
06/29/2025 I am sure glad that God works the same in peoples lives today as he did in people who came before Jesus made the greatest sacrifice of LOVE for all of us. This verse coincides with Jeremiah 29:11:

Psalm 138:8 NLT
The Lord will work out his plans for my life— for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me.

We have an advantage though because our King has come and is risen just to conquer the enemy. He is alive today in our lives now. The old testament people had to wait for the coming Savior.
06/25/2025 We pray for China, Iran and other countries that persecute Christians. We want them to have the freedom to worship our King. The problem is that those churches we pray for are the only ones who truly worship our King as he should be. You have to truly love Jesus to put you life on the line as these people do. There are no lukewarm people in these churches. Many are denounced from there families having to live alone. Every day they worship could be the day they get caught and be taken away. On the other hand, many American churches are like this and Paul warns us about them:

2 Thessalonians 3:6-13 NLT
An Exhortation to Proper Living

6 And now, dear brothers and sisters, we give you this command in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ: Stay away from all believers who live idle lives and don’t follow the tradition they received[b] from us. 7 For you know that you ought to imitate us. We were not idle when we were with you. 8 We never accepted food from anyone without paying for it. We worked hard day and night so we would not be a burden to any of you. 9 We certainly had the right to ask you to feed us, but we wanted to give you an example to follow. 10 Even while we were with you, we gave you this command: “Those unwilling to work will not get to eat.”

11 Yet we hear that some of you are living idle lives, refusing to work and meddling in other people’s business. 12 We command such people and urge them in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and work to earn their own living. 13 As for the rest of you, dear brothers and sisters, never get tired of doing good.

If those persecuted churches could see how many American churches are run they would be ashamed of us and wonder how we became so calloused towards our Savior. We need to pray that American churches become powerful like their churches. When the name of Jesus is properly honored, just watch your church grow as everyone properly serves him.

PS. It is a gift and a blessing to be able to live in a country where there is minimal persecution in worshiping the King. Do not make God play his hand to get our attention! If persecution is the only thing that will make his church strong in America he will allow it to happen to wake us up to become the church HE wants.
06/24/2025 We all probably have those moments where it seems the enemy has us beat. Paul asks for prayer from others whenever he is serving the Lord. We should pray for ourselves and others likewise and believe that this promise will happen:

2 Thessalonians 3:3 NLT
But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.

This is one of the perks having Jesus as our Commander & Chief.
06/22/2025 Have you ever wondered why God puts us in the place that we are at and not someplace else. For example, we have a ministry in the ghetto on east Colfax in Denver. God's desire for us is that we work with his people there. There is another ghetto in Denver called 5 points, but God does not want us to minister there. God has a reason for everything he does.

Never forget that God loves those people in 5 points just as much as those in the other ghetto. There is one thing that is different. God had to show the prophet Samuel what that was:

1 Samuel 16:7
But the Lord said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The Lord doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

When those individuals in our ghetto began to give up their time to worship and glorify the name of "Jesus", God saw that they truly loved him and wanted to demonstrate it. Jesus talked about those with hearts to worship the King of kings:

Matthew 5:8
God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God.

I was chosen by God as a vessel to demonstrate the part, "for they will see God". When I mention "chosen by God" it was because I had no interest in the ghetto. God physically had to show me how amazing these people are and how they are increasing their love for their King. This all started because of what God saw in their hearts. If you want God to be active in your life let your heart reflect more of God each day.

They also know what this means by living it each day:

Matthew 22:37
Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’

You cannot fool the King:

Matthew 15:8
‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.

OR

Matthew 23:28
Outwardly you look like righteous people, but inwardly your hearts are filled with hypocrisy and lawlessness.

In the near future there will be a group of people in 5 points who all have hearts for God. They will come together and honor Jesus's great name in worship. When that day happens, "God blesses those whose hearts are pure". This is a promise quoted by Jesus himself! Watch out amazing things only God can do will also happen in 5 points.

I know why I am here at east Colfax because of the hearts of the people who live here. I do not regret it one bit!
06/08/2025 There are people alive today that have this kind of faith:

Habakkuk 3:17-19 NLT
17 Even though the fig trees have no blossoms,
and there are no grapes on the vines;
even though the olive crop fails,
and the fields lie empty and barren;
even though the flocks die in the fields,
and the cattle barns are empty,
18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord!
I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!
19 The Sovereign Lord is my strength!
He makes me as surefooted as a deer,
able to tread upon the heights.

We serve a God who keeps his promises as said in Romans:

Romans 8:26-28 NLT
26 And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. 27 And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. 28 And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

If our heart is truly behind God, do not let today's challenges dictate our feelings toward God. Today can be God testing you. Tomorrow could be victory just as verse 28 says. I know this can happen because Jesus is Lord!

PS. If you have those days where you have your doubts, I have had them too. It may be because we have not prayed and given everything to our King. Maybe it is time that we do it today.
06/03/2025 It is true that people do test our patience by the dumb things they sometimes do. It is how we respond that determines the outcome. (It won't cure stupidity though.) I have witnessed this firsthand:

Proverbs 15:1 NLT
A gentle answer deflects anger, but harsh words make tempers flare.

This works in the workplace, at home with your family, and even with friends. Granted, some people want to fight no matter what. The wisest man Solomon found this to work whenever it is applied. Also, look at how Jesus talked when he was with people.

Jesus is even "Commander and Chief"
05/30/2025 In my last comment I talked about:

Romans 12:15 NLT
Be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep.

Well, I didn't go far enough. This was revealed to me by a man on TikTok that takes this verse even further:

Psalm 34:17-20 NLT
17 The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help.
He rescues them from all their troubles.
18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted;
he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.

19 The righteous person faces many troubles,
but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.
20 For the Lord protects the bones of the righteous;
not one of them is broken!

The enemy knows his days are numbered and he is trying to take us all out to the place where he is going called "Hell". God's message is that he is here when it appears the enemy is winning. If we are on God's side he will rescue us. God may be waiting for you to pray about the situation:

Psalm 34:6-7 NLT
6 In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened;
he saved me from all my troubles.
7 For the angel of the Lord is a guard;
he surrounds and defends all who fear him.

As a final note, we serve this God:

Psalm 56:4 (New Living Translation)
I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me?

I know this is true because "Jesus is Lord!"
05/28/2025 I don't know how many of you are like me but I tend to only hang around happy people. After all there is enough disappointments in life to want to hang around sad people. Except for the cases of being ungrateful and bitter, Paul says we should not necessarily avoid sad people:

Romans 12:15 NLT
Be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep.

Those who are down sometimes just need our encouragement. If we only hang around happy people there will be no one to encourage the downtrodden. Jesus wants to be there for us when we are down, should we not imitate him and do the same for others. Let's serve the "King of kings"!
05/27/2025 As I grow older I began to learn what is important. I may not be as enthused as Paul was but I am getting there more each day:

Acts 20:24 NLT
But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.

Since Jesus is Lord, our attitude should reflect what Paul was talking about.
05/25/2025 One of the most interesting things President Trump does is listen to the people who work around him. It does not matter how low we value their jobs. He stops and listens before he responds. He is wise enough to listen about the situation before he responds. God called President Trump to clean up the swamp and they are out to get him. The swamp rats just love ripping off the taxpayers. Even with all the things going against our president, he really remains pretty cool in all the grief. I am sure this drives them nuts. James talks about us to be like this:

James 1:19 (New Living Translation)
Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.

This is the best way to keep us from having regrets and to keep showing others what a Christ-like life is like. As true Christians we do things differently because "Jesus is Lord".
05/24/2025 Billy Graham was right when he said that only 20% stayed committed when coming forward. Being just a man it was difficult in seeing how things were going in each one of their lives. Paul knew that just talking about salvation and God once is not enough. We need to continue to build them up in the Lord:

Romans 15:2 NLT
We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord.

Just like the parable of the sower says, the cares of this world can make people walk away from God. Our interest in their lives may just prevent this from happening. Since Jesus is the "King of kings", shouldn't we bow down to this request to check in on people we come into contact with and encourage them. I can get wrapped up in work easily forgetting to do this simple command myself.
05/22/2025 Truly living for Jesus Christ gives us a freedom the world cannot grasp. But if we become lazy we will start to become lukewarm which is a dangerous place to be. Paul recognized this and warns us what we should be using our freedom for:

Galatians 5:13 NLT
For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love.

Instead of looking out for just our own interests, continue to be sensitive to the needs of others. It is really exciting help those in severe need. Most do not have any hope. You can change that be doing the unexpected. Remember this freedom is not to honor you but to honor our King by our actions towards others. It greatly honors our God when you make an honorable sacrifice toward others.
05/20/2025 Are you like me where the people around you seem to do all kinds of dumb stuff? I also know that I have been in the presence of people who are amazing like President Trump and Elon Musk. This is what God wants from us when dealing with his people:

Romans 15:5-6 NLT
May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus. Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Even more than ourselves giving glory to God, it is more important that we can do it with others. It can be work but he loves harmony even with those who do not get it. He also loves it when we praise God in one voice. We need to do it because "Jesus is Lord"
05/18/2025 Have you ever had those times while serving God and giving things up for him that he really cares? It seems those around us who do not even like God are getting all the blessings. Many time those people are in severe debt to put on that show of blessing. For us, it points back to "faith" that something will happen. The author of Hebrews must have had the same thought:

Hebrews 6:10 (New Living Translation)
For God is not unjust. He will not forget how hard you have worked for him and how you have shown your love to him by caring for other believers, as you still do.

Never let the "grass is greener on the other side of the fence" syndrome get you down. God never puts anything in his word that is not true. This means he is watching us even now to see what we are doing with our lives. Believe that God is not done working in our lives and his promises will be fulfilled.

Jesus "King of kings". He deserves more respect that any earthly king because he is the only King who has ever laid his life down for you and me!
05/14/2025 We have all asked the question "What is God's will for my life?" We should also be asking the question, "Am I still doing God's will?" The enemy uses deception on us to let our guard down. We slowly begin to move back to the ways of the world. Paul says that the enemy is getting so good at deception that in the last days, which I believe is now, that it will be rampant. Most Christians do not know God's word well enough to identify the deception. It is hard to deceive a true Christian who is not lazy and is well versed in God's word:

2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 NLT
9 This man will come to do the work of Satan with counterfeit power and signs and miracles. 10 He will use every kind of evil deception to fool those on their way to destruction, because they refuse to love and accept the truth that would save them. 11 So God will cause them to be greatly deceived, and they will believe these lies. 12 Then they will be condemned for enjoying evil rather than believing the truth.

Some people who think the are doing God's will, will be part of this:

2 Peter 2:13 NLT
Their destruction is their reward for the harm they have done. They love to indulge in evil pleasures in broad daylight. They are a disgrace and a stain among you. They delight in deception even as they eat with you in your fellowship meals.

How many people who think the are serving God do this:

2 Peter 2:18 NLT
They brag about themselves with empty, foolish boasting. With an appeal to twisted sexual desires, they lure back into sin those who have barely escaped from a lifestyle of deception.

If the world begins to listen to you eagerly then this may be a sign you are going outside of God's will:

1 John 4:5-6 NLT
5 Those people belong to this world, so they speak from the world’s viewpoint, and the world listens to them. 6 But we belong to God, and those who know God listen to us. If they do not belong to God, they do not listen to us. That is how we know if someone has the Spirit of truth or the spirit of deception.

If you begin to do what the pagans do, you may be going outside of God's will:

Romans 12:2 NLT
Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Porn and dirty movies can also create a problem:

1 Thessalonians 4:3 NLT
God’s will is for you to be holy, so stay away from all sexual sin.

If you begin whining a lot, this can be a sign you are losing it. Truthfully, I have done my fair share of whining.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 NLT
Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

Only a personal relationship with Jesus Christ can fulfill this one:

Hebrews 10:10 NLT
For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time.

If you are always impatient this is another sign you may be losing it. Sometime I have been guilty of this myself:

Hebrews 10:36 NLT
Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God’s will. Then you will receive all that he has promised.

If your lives seem powerless or are not honorable you may not be experiencing this:

1 Peter 2:15 NLT
It is God’s will that your honorable lives should silence those ignorant people who make foolish accusations against you.

We always need to ask ourselves the question, "Am I living outside of Gods will?" Doesn't living in God's will seem like lots of work? It definitely is, but remember this verse to help you begin living inside of God's will:

Matthew 11:28-30 NLT
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

Jesus is Lord and he wants to help all of us to stay inside of God's will!
05/12/2025 Here is a fitting verse for you great wives on Mothers Day:

Proverbs 31:10, 27-28 NLT
Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is more precious than rubies.

There are many of you wives out there that this describes you. Continue to love and serve the Lord while loving your husbands. Husbands you need to realize what you have and love what a great person she is!

Jesus is Lord!!
05/09/2025 This verse brings out the stupid and the ignorant people. They think God is for slavery:

Colossians 4:1 NLT
Masters, be just and fair to your slaves. Remember that you also have a Master—in heaven.

God's desire is for everyone to be free from persecution to be able to worship him. This misunderstanding is the reason why we need to read the Old Testament to learn. God hated it so much when his people where slaves in Egypt that he just about destroyed the nation when pharaoh would not let his people go. God despises slavery. Even though there were slaves mentioned in the bible, most were indentured servants.

While both slaves and indentured servants are forced to work for others, the key difference is that indentured servants had a contract with a limited term, while slaves were owned for life. Indentured servitude was a voluntary arrangement, even if coerced, with the goal of repaying debts. Remember when Jacob worked 14 years for Leban just so he could marry Rachel. Jacob was just like a slave.

We have laws making indentured servants illegal in the United States. The Thirteenth Amendment to the Constitution, ratified in 1865, explicitly prohibits both slavery and involuntary servitude, with the exception of punishment for a duly convicted crime. While the Thirteenth Amendment allows for involuntary servitude as punishment for a crime, there are ongoing efforts to remove this exception.

When you read the word you need to understand the conditions during the period the word was written.

Unlike God, man is always changing his environment. Jesus Christ - The same today as he was when Paul wrote the verse.
