Jesus called it seed falling into the weeds. The cares of this world soon choked those out who came forward. Paul knew the Thessalonian church was being persecuted and Paul was worried that the enemy could undo their work: 1 Thessalonians 3:1-5 NLT 3 Finally, when we could stand it no longer, we decided to stay alone in Athens, 2 and we sent Timothy to visit you. He is our brother and God’s co-worker in proclaiming the Good News of Christ. We sent him to strengthen you, to encourage you in your faith, 3 and to keep you from being shaken by the troubles you were going through. But you know that we are destined for such troubles. 4 Even while we were with you, we warned you that troubles would soon come—and they did, as you well know. 5 That is why, when I could bear it no longer, I sent Timothy to find out whether your faith was still strong. I was afraid that the tempter had gotten the best of you and that our work had been useless. How can we prevent those from falling away. One method is to stay in contact with any new Christians so they stay on the right path. The enemy knows how to confuse people and we need to undo his work. As a church we need to be a support group to answer any questions new Christians may have and hopefully our walk with the Lord is an example to them how it is done. Godly support with God's word is the number 1 way to keep people going to the finish line. It is great when it happens. Everyone gets encouraged. 1 Thessalonians 3:6-8 NLT 6 But now Timothy has just returned, bringing us good news about your faith and love. He reports that you always remember our visit with joy and that you want to see us as much as we want to see you. 7 So we have been greatly encouraged in the midst of our troubles and suffering, dear brothers and sisters, because you have remained strong in your faith. 8 It gives us new life to know that you are standing firm in the Lord. It never hurts even for mature Christians that we encourage them too. But always try to make time to encourage your brother and sisters in Christ. Satan uses our complacency to put another notch in his belt when one walks away from Jesus. 06/20/2026 It is interesting when Jesus Christ becomes the head and the Holy Spirit is invited into our churches, things like this happens. 1 Thessalonians 1:8-10 NLT 8 And now the word of the Lord is ringing out from you to people everywhere, even beyond Macedonia and Achaia, for wherever we go we find people telling us about your faith in God. We don’t need to tell them about it, 9 for they keep talking about the wonderful welcome you gave us and how you turned away from idols to serve the living and true God. 10 And they speak of how you are looking forward to the coming of God’s Son from heaven—Jesus, whom God raised from the dead. He is the one who has rescued us from the terrors of the coming judgment. This would be like people who are in Denver would be talking about my Church in Windsor. I have not been to every church but I do know some live for Jesus. They may not have the travelers to carry the word of what Jesus is doing amongst you. But this is what Jesus headed churches can do: 1 Thessalonians 2:17-20 NLT Timothy’s Good Report about the Church 17 Dear brothers and sisters, after we were separated from you for a little while (though our hearts never left you), we tried very hard to come back because of our intense longing to see you again. 18 We wanted very much to come to you, and I, Paul, tried again and again, but Satan prevented us. 19 After all, what gives us hope and joy, and what will be our proud reward and crown as we stand before our Lord Jesus when he returns? It is you! 20 Yes, you are our pride and joy. I have heard about a church in the ghetto that comes together on Saturday to worship. Since our God is not bound by time neither are they. They worship as the Holy Spirit directs them and quit when he says it is time. Paul would like to hang his hat there too. Your church may be like this too. Just continue to let the Holy Spirit run your service. Jesus loves the powerful church to do his work on his timing. 06/14/2026 The snowflakes believe that America took the land away from people who were living here first. Does this make it wrong? Israel when they came out of Egypt were commanded by God to destroy those people living there first and take their land. Why would God do that? Those people living in the promise land first have rejected God. He wants to give the land to those who serve him. The same goes for America. David tells the story.Psalm 44:2-8 NLT2You drove out the pagan nations by your powerand gave all the land to our ancestors.You crushed their enemiesand set our ancestors free.3They did not conquer the land with their swords;it was not their own strong arm that gave them victory.It was your right hand and strong armand the blinding light from your face that helped them,for you loved them. 4You are my King and my God.You command victories for Israel.a]">a]5Only by your power can we push back our enemies;only in your name can we trample our foes.6I do not trust in my bow;I do not count on my sword to save me.7You are the one who gives us victory over our enemies;you disgrace those who hate us.8O God, we give glory to you all day longand constantly praise your name.America has to realize that the might of our troops were ideas given to men from God to create the greatest weapons on earth which belong to this nation. If America continues to turn her back on God, he will give her to someone else who wants to serve him. Read the Old Testament and see what happens to a nation that worships other Gods. Before accusing someone of stealing land from someone you better make sure it was not God who gave it to them in the first place. God has a habit of doing this. I am glad God gave America to us. My freedom today is the result of those who serve in the military. God please give them the best weapons on earth to fight with.? We lift up the 4th of July to you! 06/13/2026 Lately, it seems like nothing is going right and appears that everything is against me. I have become discouraged because of this. I am not the first person to experience this. David could relate to this and I would not be surprised if many of you have had a taste of this in your own life: Psalm 42:5-11 NLT 5 Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and 6 my God! I felt like I should not give up either then tomorrow came and it gets worse Now I am deeply discouraged, but I will remember you— even from distant Mount Hermon, the source of the Jordan, from the land of Mount Mizar. 7 I hear the tumult of the raging seas as your waves and surging tides sweep over me. 8 But each day the Lord pours his unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing his songs, praying to God who gives me life Just like David we need to take focus off our problems and concentrate on the things of God while being tested. We need to get our minds off of our problems which will just weigh us down. This is easier said then done as David tried. 9“O God my rock,” I cry, “Why have you forgotten me? Why must I wander around in grief, oppressed by my enemies?” 10 Their taunts break my bones. They scoff, “Where is this God of yours?” People may not speak to me but it always appears that I am the only one experiencing these problems. I still am down. 11 Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God! When we finally let go, God can now go to work on our situation. I figure I should concentrate on the things of God right now so I thought it would be good idea to write this thought down. 06/12/2026 July 4 is coming up. Our nation will be celebrating its 250 year anniversary. The question is "What will America be like in another 250 years?" Will our country fall because of how we live? David gives tips on keeping the land: Psalm 37:3-4 NLT 3 Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. 4 Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires. Psalm 37:21-22 NLT 21 The wicked borrow and never repay, but the godly are generous givers. 22 Those the Lord blesses will possess the land, but those he curses will die. Psalm 37:27-29 NLT 27 Turn from evil and do good, and you will live in the land forever. 28 For the Lord loves justice, and he will never abandon the godly. He will keep them safe forever, but the children of the wicked will die. 29 The godly will possess the land and will live there forever. The only thing David did not mention is having our God as the soul owner of the throne. We have too many religions polluting the purity of our Lord. God destroyed countries because of this. Could America be next? With God, Christians do not have to be the majority to keep America, but if we do not live for Christ ourselves and tell other people about Jesus so they can be on our side too, why should God not give her to someone else. God gave Israel over to Babylon just to teach his people a lesson. America could be next if we do not follow the principles of David. Let how we live keep America around for another 250 years. 06/10/2026 How many of us can relate to what David was going through at this moment? I have my hand up. Psalm 39:1-3 NLT 1 I said to myself, “I will watch what I do and not sin in what I say. I will hold my tongue when the ungodly are around me.” 2 But as I stood there in silence— not even speaking of good things— the turmoil within me grew worse. 3 The more I thought about it, the hotter I got, igniting a fire of words: Those people from that other party can drive you crazy with their far fetched ideas. There is another great man that thought about similar things. Romans 7:14-25 NLT Struggling with Sin 14 So the trouble is not with the law, for it is spiritual and good. The trouble is with me, for I am all too human, a slave to sin. 15 I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate. 16 But if I know that what I am doing is wrong, this shows that I agree that the law is good. 17 So I am not the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it. 18 And I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. I want to do what is right, but I can’t. 19 I want to do what is good, but I don’t. I don’t want to do what is wrong, but I do it anyway. 20 But if I do what I don’t want to do, I am not really the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it. 21 I have discovered this principle of life—that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. 22 I love God’s law with all my heart. 23 But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. 24 Oh, what a miserable person I am! Who will free me from this life that is dominated by sin and death? 25 Thank God! The answer is in Jesus Christ our Lord. So you see how it is: In my mind I really want to obey God’s law, but because of my sinful nature I am a slave to sin. These guys both show the difficulty of staying pure. But we are never to stop trying. These verses show why we do things wrong from time to time. But they do not give us the excuse to commit more sins because of who we are. Poor David did not have Jesus Christ to work things out, but we do. Jesus is Lord!!!!!!!! 06/09/2026 Someone brought up an excellent point. People do not react much when you talk about any religion except when the name of Jesus Christ pops up. They really become snowflakes when his name is even mentioned. Do you think this could be why: John 3:19-21 NLT 19 And the judgment is based on this fact: God’s light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. 20 All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. 21 But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants. Isn't it interesting that people would rather live with people who would take advantage of them at their first opportunity then to live with people who would love them and take interest in their needs. These are the traits we should have if we truly love God. Sin makes us foolish! Matthew 22:39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Philippians 2:4 Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too. The demons must be like vampires. When exposed to the light of Jesus it must burn. They become snowflakes too. This guy I am talking about also showed clips of famous athletes who gave credit to Jesus for their success. They were cut short because of so called technical difficulties or Jesus was edited out of the story. If the name of Jesus makes them upset, you must be talking about Jesus. There will be no excuse on judgment day when God plays back when Jesus was edited out of their movie clips. This goes for those who edit Jesus out of their life too. 06/08/2026 Have you ever wondered what it is like to truly surrender yourself to God? I have seen or read about people like this. I am working to get there: Habakkuk 3:19 NLT The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights. When we hold on to certain things that really do not please God, it can prevent us from experiencing fully what Habakkuk described. 06/06/2026 Maybe the things of this world are packing the soil around me keeping my roots shallow. It is time to do some aeration to that soil and get rid of those things that are packing it in the first place. We cheat ourselves from God's love: Ephesians 3:17-19 NLT Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. 06/05/2026 The enemy loves to use our circumstances to bring us down in spirit and faith. I feel like this now. My buddy usually has a way to encourage me in a way to get me out of that slump. Paul knew this and that is why he says: 1 Thessalonians 5:11 NLT So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. Did you know people have this gift from the Holy Spirit? Use it to lift your brother and sisters. Romans 12:8 NLT If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly. Encouragement should be a two way street. Romans 15:32 NLT Then, by the will of God, I will be able to come to you with a joyful heart, and we will be an encouragement to each other. Paul acknowledges what your encouragement does to him. Tell people about what their encouragement means to you. 2 Corinthians 7:4 NLT I have the highest confidence in you, and I take great pride in you. You have greatly encouraged me and made me happy despite all our troubles. The author of Hebrews tells us to never separate from one another. I do believe that the day of his return is drawing near too: Hebrews 10:25 And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. 2 Corinthians 13:11 NLT Paul’s Final Greetings Dear brothers and sisters, I close my letter with these last words: Be joyful. Grow to maturity. Encourage each other. Live in harmony and peace. Then the God of love and peace will be with you. 06/04/2026 I was reading Psalm 34 from the New Living Translation and it is amazing how David and Paul would always start out like this: 1 I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak his praises. 2 I will boast only in the Lord; let all who are helpless take heart. 3 Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness; let us exalt his name together. Paul referenced the church in his writings. The last part of this talks about coming together as a body. The next section talks about our fears and how he comforts us. It also sheds light that we have angels that protect us. 4 I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears. 5 Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. 6 In my desperation I prayed, and the Lord listened; he saved me from all my troubles. 7 For the angel of the Lord is a guard; he surrounds and defends all who fear him. Isn't that cool even if we seem to have nothing but troubles as God's children, we have an angel around us. The key is if we "have reverent fear" for the God we serve. This same God gives us everything we need: 8 Taste and see that the Lord is good. Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! 9 Fear the Lord, you his godly people, for those who fear him will have all they need. 10 Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing. Think about this " but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing." Greed will say otherwise but just think about living in America. How many people do NOT have the things that we have. This could be > 80% of the world. We lack "No good thing". This next thing is something that Paul would even say about the proper way to live: 11Come, my children, and listen to me, and I will teach you to fear the Lord. 12 Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous? 13 Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies! 14 Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. Our God never sleeps and is always watching. He does want to help but do we want him. He will turn his face if we have no desire to remove sin in our life: 15 The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help. 16 But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil; he will erase their memory from the earth. 17 The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. 18 The Lord is close to the brokenhearted he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. Maybe it is time we should all take refuge in the Lord: 19 The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time. 20 For the Lord protects the bones of the righteous; not one of them is broken! 21 Calamity will surely destroy the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be punished. 22 But the Lord will redeem those who serve him. No one who takes refuge in him will be condemned Lord we pray that this last part will happen to restore justice back in America. America - One Nation Under Jesus Christ!!!!!!! 05/31/2026 How many of us have been duped by those who want to control our lives. I remember when theater popcorn was popped using coconut oil. They all said that we would die if we did not stop this. Now they are touting that coconut oils is good for you. The next thing they touted is that sunlight gives you cancer. You better stay out of the sun. Now they say get some sun to get vitamin D, stronger bones and a stronger immune system. Water is not even safe. Large quantities of water will cause you kidneys to shut down trying to remove the excess water out of you system. Nothing is truly safe and Paul warns us about people making a bid deal of things. Colossians 2:20-23 NLT 20 You have died with Christ, and he has set you free from the spiritual powers of this world. So why do you keep on following the rules of the world, such as, 21 “Don’t handle! Don’t taste! Don’t touch!” 22 Such rules are mere human teachings about things that deteriorate as we use them. 23 These rules may seem wise because they require strong devotion, pious self-denial, and severe bodily discipline. But they provide no help in conquering a person’s evil desires. In the end you end up living in fear and no ones life is better off, spiritually. Just pray Psalm 91 over your life and let God carry you through the maze of crazy ideas. 05/30/2026 Do you think David had any problems with spam and phishing schemes? These verses said he did. It was though he had to deal with email: Psalm 36:1-4 NLT 1 Sin whispers to the wicked, deep within their hearts. They have no fear of God at all. 2 In their blind conceit, they cannot see how wicked they really are. 3 Everything they say is crooked and deceitful. They refuse to act wisely or do good. 4 They lie awake at night, hatching sinful plots. Their actions are never good. They make no attempt to turn from evil. We even have a political party like this. They believe that anyone should be able to do what they want unless it opposes their narrative. The pro-choice people never ask the question, "What does God think about my choice?" What is even more sad is that many do not even know who God is to answer the question correctly. Paul was like this. He killed Christians because he believed he was doing God a favor. He had to learn who God and his Son are to realize his choice was wrong. Talking about doing a 180, I need to learn about God and Jesus as fast as Paul did. I have noticed that there is a correlation between sin and the fear of God. Those who fear God always seem to sin a lot less. Those who live to sin could care less about what God thinks. This is dangerous because of where we will spend eternity if we do not change and put that "reverent fear of God" back into our lives. 05/29/2026 Have ever thought about the importance of talking to people about Jesus? Timothy was trying to be a pastor and Paul was giving him information on the importance of reaching souls for Christ: 2 Timothy 1:1 NLT Greetings from Paul This letter is from Paul, chosen by the will of God to be an apostle of Christ Jesus. I have been sent out to tell others about the life he has promised through faith in Christ Jesus. 2 Timothy 1:8 NLT So never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord. And don’t be ashamed of me, either, even though I’m in prison for him. With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for the sake of the Good News. 2 Timothy 4:5 NLT But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you. Have ever thought about the impact you can have on people by telling them about Jesus? Here is a testimony of a man who was changed because of such people: "I grew up in a semi-religious family and would go to church every other weekend. As I grew older, I stopped going to church and led a life separate from God. During my senior year of high school, I was diagnosed with cancer. I underwent chemotherapy for about 4 months and was confined to my house. After I was declared cancer free, I went back to life, but this time more broken and helpless than before. I started wondering about my purpose and what the meaning of life is. I started looking for it in all the wrong things, and it left me emptier than before. The week after spring break, I was approached by two guys from Foundations Church. They started preaching the gospel to me and I knew this was something that I needed to pursue. After the first couple Bible study meetings and going to church where there were people my own age, I was starting to see the impact that God had on their lives. A big change happened when I opened my Bible; reading through the gospels and seeing what Jesus did for me on that cross convicted me. On April 23, after a meeting where we were talking about the decision to repent, I felt a strong conviction from the Holy Spirit, and I knew I had to do it that night. Since then, I've noticed two distinct things in my life. I feel more secure knowing that my life is in the hands of God, the same God who created everything in the entire universe. Also, I know my identity is rooted in being a child of God." You and I both can be people who change the world for Jesus. This guy really noticed a change when he opened his bible and read the gospels. So encourage people to search God's word to see who Jesus is! 05/28/2026 Paul's letters are similar in telling us to how to model our lives after Jesus Christ, get sin out of lives and the church, and to love and forgive one another. But when he write to the Colossian church, he does something a little different. He describes who Jesus is: Colossians 1:15-20 NLT Christ Is Supreme 15 Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, God looks a lot like Jesus based on what he said to Philip: John 14:9 Jesus replied, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you? One girl who had a chance to see heaven painted what Jesus looked like. Others who have been to heaven confirm that the painting was him. 16 for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see— such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. The universe is so big we do not know what is all out there. We make new discoveries on our own planet each day. In the atomic level they think there are smaller things yet then the atom. 17 He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. Good thing Jesus has a good memory or we might just disappear. 18 Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything. God just had me write a comment on this: Ephesians 4:32 NLT Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. 1 John 4:19 We love each other because he loved us first. James 3:17 But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere. 19 For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, Matthew 3:16-17 NLT 16 After his baptism, as Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and settling on him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.” 20 and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross. Between the death of Jesus and his resurrection Jesus fought the devil to take over the authority of the earth. I bet that was a battle but Jesus won. He is now in control over everything. Jesus is Lord!!!!!!!! 05/26/2026 When you read the story about David, one of the things I picked up that his men would give their lives up for David. They believed in him. Yet David went through times like this: Psalm 31:9-13 NLT 9 Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am in distress. Tears blur my eyes. My body and soul are withering away. 10 I am dying from grief; my years are shortened by sadness. Sin has drained my strength; I am wasting away from within. 11 I am scorned by all my enemies and despised by my neighbors— even my friends are afraid to come near me. When they see me on the street, they run the other way. 12 I am ignored as if I were dead, as if I were a broken pot. 13 I have heard the many rumors about me, and I am surrounded by terror. My enemies conspire against me, plotting to take my life. I wonder if President Trump has the same thoughts that David had. He has experienced letdowns by our corrupt judicial system and congress. I myself have seen a lot of the lies and lack of loyalty to this great president. I know he is going to set the record on the attempts on a man's life. All of this because he wants to turn the power back to the people and he is affecting the free lunches that screw the people. I also would like to say these words for our President Trump: Psalm 31:14-18 NLT 14 But I am trusting you, O Lord, saying, “You are my God!” 15 My future is in your hands. Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly. 16 Let your favor shine on your servant. In your unfailing love, rescue me. 17 Don’t let me be disgraced, O Lord, for I call out to you for help. Let the wicked be disgraced; let them lie silent in the grave. 18 Silence their lying lips— those proud and arrogant lips that accuse the godly. Whether you are in a position of leadership or not, you may be going through this too. If you love the Lord, these words are for you too. 05/25/2026 I believe we are living in the Matthew 24:14 timeline: Matthew 24:14 NLT 14 And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come. Base on what I hear from God's prophets, God will have to do a bunch of things in the worlds financial systems to destroy those who are apposing the spread of the Gospel. This action will be good for the rest of us. What a spectacle that will be to see God's Glory moving as he gives everyone a last chance to come to him before the Lord returns. This is one thing I would like to be alive to see. I am even anxious to see God's final work blossom in our current ministries. He is doing big things as I write this. I was reading Psalm 30 and came across these verses: Psalm 30:8-10 NLT 8 I cried out to you, O Lord. I begged the Lord for mercy, saying, 9 “What will you gain if I die, if I sink into the grave? Can my dust praise you? Can it tell of your faithfulness? 10 Hear me, Lord, and have mercy on me. Help me, O Lord.” God likes it when we remind him of his word. It also proves that you actually opened your bible. I am going to use this so I can be around to witness God's greatest move ever. Just make sure you have been doing these things already. Your heart will reveal if you are serious about this. 05/24/2026 I have talked about parts of this chapter but it would be fun to break it down: Psalm 26 NLT 1 Declare me innocent, O Lord, for I have acted with integrity; I have trusted in the Lord without wavering. (I do believe that I waver from time to time. Integrity is very important) 2 Put me on trial, Lord, and cross-examine me. Test my motives and my heart. (I haven't gotten an A on this one yet but I am getting closer.) 3 For I am always aware of your unfailing love, and I have lived according to your truth. (I always seem to have this one mastered. Then there is that one thing that I do that messes this up.) 4 I do not spend time with liars or go along with hypocrites. (I definitely do this one. But sometimes I say to much about it. ) 5 I hate the gatherings of those who do evil, and I refuse to join in with the wicked. (Because of the power of Jesus Christ I do not want to be near this stuff.) 6 I wash my hands to declare my innocence. I come to your altar, O Lord, (Because of sin, am I truly innocent? Jesus can make it happen though.) 7 singing a song of thanksgiving and telling of all your wonders. (As I age spiritually, this does get stronger and stronger.) 8 I love your sanctuary, Lord, the place where your glorious presence dwells. (Nothing is better then going to church where the Holy Spirit resides.) 9 Don’t let me suffer the fate of sinners. Don’t condemn me along with murderers. (Jesus Christ makes this possible. He has this one for me.) 10 Their hands are dirty with evil schemes, and they constantly take bribes. (I want no part of this either. I do a good job of keeping this one.) 11 But I am not like that; I live with integrity. So redeem me and show me mercy. ( I believe in living for integrity. But do I have as much integrity as David did?) 12 Now I stand on solid ground, and I will publicly praise the Lord. (I do it in church. I am weak in public because of preoccupation.) The book of Psalm gives you a lot to ponder about. 05/23/2026 Our God does not hide himself but reveals himself to everyone through his creation. These two men, David and Paul, sure did see it and wrote about it: Psalm 8:3-9 NLT 3 When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers— the moon and the stars you set in place— 4 what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them? 5 Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor. 6 You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority— 7 the flocks and the herds and all the wild animals, 8 the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and everything that swims the ocean currents. 9 O Lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth! Paul says we have no excuse to not see the God of the universe: Romans 1:19-20 NLT 19 They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. 20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. Isn't it interesting that the more we know about and love our God, our thoughts become united under Jesus Christ. Our stand on things will also become the same. After all isn't living for Christ the same as thinking like Christ. We will mimic him on every aspect of our life. Granted, 0-60 in under 4 second will have a different meaning for everyone. 05/22/2026 Have you ever had one of those days where you felt God was a million miles away? It was Friday just before the Memorial day weekend. I had to go over and pick up an electric motor that I found out there was nothing wrong with it. It cost me $400 bucks to get it cleaned and checked out. I started back home and I assumed I had it secure enough, but when I was half way home, the electric motor tipped and it spilled oil all over my pickup bed. I tried to pullover to lift it but it was too heavy to set it right. When I got home, I called the people who serviced it and asked them if I could have a problem tipping the electric motor over. They confirmed that I could can have some major problems getting oil in the windings. They asked me to go ahead and bring it back, and they would look at it. They noticed that I got oil inside of it. So they had to physically take it apart again. It would be a rush to get it done before the holiday weekend. This holiday made it worse because I won't be able to pick it up till Tuesday. My mistake of assuming that I had tied down securely got me and now I'm going to have to pay again to have him clean it up. At this moment, I felt God was gone. I found out that I was not alone in these feelings. Everyone assumes David was like this: Psalm 18:6 NLT 6 But in my distress I cried out to the Lord; yes, I prayed to my God for help. He heard me from his sanctuary; my cry to him reached his ears. David also had moments like I did, and he felt like this. Psalm 22:1-2 NLT 1 My God, my God, why have you abandoned me? Why are you so far away when I groan for help? 2 Every day I call to you, my God, but you do not answer. Every night I lift my voice, but I find no relief. If David had these moment we will too. It has nothing to do with spirituality. David was about as close to God as anyone. God is definitely giving me a C- on this test. I blew it on some parts of the test. This is no excuse to give up either. I need to pull my grade up. It probably would have helped to pray for my trip that God would keep me from doing dumb stuff. I know he can keep us alert in traffic. He can also give us wisdom to do it right the first time.
